It's the same Marelli AMT on the Nexon as well with Hill Hold function.. I own a Nexon AMT and it works very well..

Amado Fuentes Amt can’t match VW’s dsg automatic! Dsg is super smooth and fast! But Dsg is expensive almost twice the cost! So get ready for extra payments and more cash for repairs ! Yes automatic have problems much earlier than manual as there are many complicated moving parts !
Now this car is ready to hit the compact SUV segment

Those who are looking for convenient drive rather than fun, it definetly makes sense...
AMT for 12+ Lakhs car is not good idea. They should provide CVT or Torque converter

With introduction of Auto Trans and that too in diesel, it's become even more irresistible... No Venue or other is a match for this 300, as of now... 👍
Best car to buy in this segment
It's overpriced, and the lower variants miss out on basic things, it just has more unnecessary electronic features, ford EcoSport is still the king of this segment

Can it hold revs until you decide to upshift?
Yes ...it have triptonic function. So you can manually change gears whenever you want.
It has solved the issues of all other cars:
Venue's no-focus underpowered, non-automatic diesel
Nexon's lethargic Display and not so trustable quality of seats, etc. and lack of sunroof.
Nexon's rear seat space, boot opener's issue, no diesel automatic, hard suspensions.
Brezza's ghatiya interiors, music system, engine, lack of sunroof, safety and suspension.
WRV's lack of rear seat headrest, safety, power, comfort, drivability, features.
Except for a high price and a small boot, this is a Killer option.

Nope its based on ssangyong tivoli and brezza itself is a copy of landrover
Much better proportioned than Brezza . And better equipped too.

The top spec W8 Diesel Manual is about 12 lakhs ex-showroom.
Mahindra should make sliding back seats to increase boot space
This kind of transmissions are very jerky and slow shifting and it can be highly annoying without P (Park mode) when you finished your drive or have to park somewhere for few min. This is the same problem in some PSA cars. If really need automatic transmission then buy car with real one or with DSG.

Marazzo ,as a matter of fact,all vehicles ,deserve at least a torque converter.
And with new top of line variant being added soon in marazzo, the torque converter should arrive.
But maybe they hold it till bs6 norms kick in
Price
Buyers moving towards Venue DCT and more likes towards petrol variant.. Even venue is more like internet connected car.. This strategy from mahindra would have been succeeded before pre-venue era and not now.. Lets wait and see.. How many thinks the same? #Autocar
DCT are horribly unreliable. It is better to buy Torque Converter(TC) Creta automatic than DCT Venue. Ford tried its hand on DCT on Ecosport and quietly went over to TC.

A strong engine takes its toll on efficiency.
The manual transmission diesel is rated to give a average of about 20kmpl. This, considering it is an AMT, should give about 18kmpl or near about.

Never never never .Mahindra service is the worst part. Whatever they do their customer service is the worst thing.Dont even respond to your mails or calls or anything.They cant even arrange you a test drive also.I planned to go for a xuv 300 amt diesel and requested their test drive and waited for almost 3 months.After repeated enquiry what the dealer suggested is to get a test drive from another customer and passed his phone number for the same,how can we justify this worst attitude towards a customer.After so much frustration i quited my plan/desire to buy xuv 300

I'm registered one complint many more times, but service people telling next time will clear. But didn't clear. Then again informed mahendra company by mail. But company no response.
My complint is 1st gear stuck some time. This complint already informed 10000km. But people didn't responce. After some time oil leaking also.
Same complint my friend vehicle also.
Do not taken tuv and xuv 300.service is waste.
Silly service people. And service manager.

Just a little bit expensive, besides everything is segment leading
Bootspace is very low ..Compared to his rivals
Not expensive at all if you see the list of features which even some 40 lakh rupee cars do not have.
Good look Car
Stay away from Mahindra AMTs. Known to be buggy and poorly tuned. Lot of issues reported on other models AMT variants. And they altogether stopped production of TUV AMT as they couldn't solve them.
He just said it's a new amt sourced from Marelli... Its one of the best in segment
That was a different supplier. Recaro. This one is Marelli and much better.
