  • 2024 Logi Combo Touch Review
In the video I share my thoughts and feelings on using a Logi Combo Touch keyboard with an M1 iPad Pro.
I have owned both for two years and share a lot of detail of how and where I use the keyboard. My favourite features are the magnetically detachable keyboard and the all around protection of the iPad. In the video I also compare the keyboard case with and iPad Pro against my M1 MacBook Pro.

Great thorough representation of everyday usage experience for us who are normal users

You are welcome! The Combo Touch has been reviewed hundreds of times. After 2 years use, I'm trying to cover it from a different angle.

I don’t know if I got it right, but you said that you can’t edit videos straight from external drive on the iPad? Actually you can do this on iPad Pro. Currently you can do this using davinci resolve, and you will be able to do this soon also using Final Cut Pro

Thanks for the correction. I recorded the video before Apple's announcement of the update to Final Cut Pro this week!
Good that editing off an SSD is possible through Davinci resolve? Have you tried it, if so how reliable is it? In my experience with the iPad Pro, several powerful feature always usually have a caveat.

@@HonestHans365 I haven’t tried it yet. Currently I only have MBP and use Davinci resolve for my travel videos. I ordered new iPad Pro to have it on the go and be able to start cutting and editing my vids on it, then finish on MacBook after coming back, so working with external drives is a must in this setup. I did some research if it’s even possible, and AFAIK it works pretty well in Davinci. It doesn’t work in separate project types, so you can open them both on iPad and desktop no matter how and where they’re created and it seems like it’s very reliable solution. Will see.
By the way, I found your video because I was wondering what should I buy - Magic Keyboard or this one, so your review was super helpful. Exactly what I was looking for, thanks!

@@recokioshi4526 This is my 4th iPad. Previous ones were 10.5 Pro 2017, iPad 3 and iPad 2.
I wish that I purchased the combo touch keyboard sooner. It's truly transformative. I do 70% of my computing on the iPad with the keyboard. This week I purchased LumaFusion on the iPad for my GF. I have only edited one video and it works well. However I need to put it through its paces as a power user.
Please get back to me in a few weeks to let me know how you get on with using Davinci resolve on the iPad and working on file across the iPad and Mac. I specifically want to know if the experience is seamless or whether it's fiddly on the iPad and you spend more time trying to make things work. I hope it works out, then I can replace Filmora Wondershare with davinci resolve on iPad and my Mac.
