      Can I bend the Apple keyboard backwards when I don’t want to use the keyboard

  • @kaiichinose9590

    Oh the esr keyboard case you forgot to mention that that flap also covers the Apple Pencil and also has a slot for the Apple Pencil. As well as the case allows for portrait mode and in the case has two more positions to rise the height while in landscape as well. Thanks as always. Also if you get the 11 inch esr case it doesn’t have the function row. It would be good if you mentioned the size variant. Magic Keyboard needs a place to secure the Apple Pencil. Maybe a flap like the esr. And I would also be worried about that metal hinge being exposed and prone to scratches.

    I’ve had all 3 of these cases for my different iPads. My least favorite was the Logitech. Just takes up too much space on my desk. To me, the ESR is the best magic keyboard alternative on the market. Having to charge up the case periodically isn’t a huge deal. Especially considering I’m at my desk a majority of the day anyways.

    • @MichaelsTechTalk

      Agreed on the Logitech! Its footprint is massive on a desk.

      The Logitech keyboard seems to take up about the same space as a regular laptop, no? Maybe a bit more if you really tilt it, since you can tilt it more than a regular MacBook.

    I tried out the ESR rebound case, boxed it back up and returned it the next day. It gives my ipad pro so much weight and thickness that it weighed more than my macbook air (I mean common, the keyboard case itself felt about as if not heavier than the ipad itself)...That and the trackpad was *aweful*, it was glitchy and scrolling was far from smooth. Keyboard was ok at best, but it definitely felt a bit cramped. I want the Logitech combo touch, but some of the desks at my classes are so tiny that it would be a big hassle, that and I use it on my lap a lot too. So, needless to say, I genuinely am surprised by apple's magic keyboard, thought I'd never say this, but I think it was worth the extra money.

    I regret getting the Logitech so much! I miss the apple folio keyboard that previous generations had instead of this Magic Keyboard. The Magic Keyboard isn’t great for lap use and you can’t fold the keyboard back to use like a tablet but keeping the keyboard on it. The Logitech is not good for using in lap either and you can’t even use it very well on a tv stand because with the keyboard out and the kickstand folded out it is longer than most tv stands. The touch pad on the Logitech feels like something that would come on a temu product. Any suggestions for a keyboard case similar to the Apple folio cases previous generations of iPad Pro had?

    • @natskar
      @natskar 2 місяці тому +1

      I agree! The keyboard folio was strangely just freaken awesome to use, anywhere, anytime, lap-use it was the most stable, and it flipped around...If apple would just put a dang trackpad on that, I'd be all over it. I mean undoubtedly, the magic keyboard is better, but man there is just something about that folio and not having to dismount the ipad if I wanted to use the apple pencil

    • @jeremykass2972

      Have you heard of an issue with the logitech combo touch where the keyboard glitches in and out when the keyboard is folded back and the iPad is held at about 45 degrees? This has happened on 2 combo touch units already. I’m using an 11” m4 IPad Pro.

    I tried the ESR. I don’t know if it was defective or just bad, but the trackpad was awful. I kept pressing it and nothing would happen, and when it did, it was quite laggy. I ended up returning it.
    I like the concept of the Logitech, but I bought one a few years ago when it came out and returned it. I didn’t realize how bad it was to use on a lap (barely usable), and, when working in a small area, could barely get it to fit, because of the space that the stand (which I like) takes on the table. If you know that your space is limited, the Logitech will not be an option.

    The main issue I have with logi's is the lack of an escape key. they very well could have moved the home button to replace the sleep button and then put he escape key on it, not to mention the kick stand thing is more of a pain than I had originally thought it would be since the desks I am on never have the space for the kick stand and throw the iPad right off the edge. and that apple pencil cutout at the top bothers me too not gonna lie, because when you're holding it in portrait you have one hand gripping case and the other gripping this weird hole that kinda hurts after a bit on my current pro. but also the lack of real hinges on the stand is awful, I would have loved to see it mimic the surface pro kickstand just for longevity and sturdiness as I did see that stand really flexing when you adjusted it. also, one little tip for your top down shots, turn off auto focus. like dial in your focus and keep it there, that'll get rid of auto focus freak outs when you're moving around a ton. you keep the products at a pretty consistent level so having a locked focus should not be bad for viewers.
