My husband had a chunky friend in high school and casually asked him how things were going in his relationship and he said, “Oh you know she plays with my boobs I play with her boobs.” Till this day we still joke about it 😂
Ngl, a fucked up part of me kinda wants to wake ur during surgery and be able to feel it but not able to move ._. Not like in a kink way, but for the sole reason of being able to say I had the experience. People will be like “Oh, I was so sore after my surgery” and I’ll be like “MF I WAS AWAKE WHEN THEY WERE CUTTING ME OPEN”
Waking up during surgery is weird, I didn't feel anything but I was aware enough to hear the doctor notice that I woke up. 😂 Must've been just as weird for them as it was for me. Love you guys!
I was little, like 10 or 11 and woke up when they opened up my tummy xD I remember seeing it, but I just laid my head down and fell back asleep after a while. Mom says even when I was a baby I never minded needles or when they took my blood. What's weird is that I do mind talking about muscle tearing and something happening to muscles lol.
@@Ilive_420 I'm similar. I remember when I first had my blood drawn when I was three. I actually enjoyed it. I thought it was so cool to see this liquid that keeps me alive. I can handle a lot of extremely severe, medically discomforting situations. But God, muscle tearing, tearing of tendons or a simple paper cut just sends me just straight to hell😂
I was awake when I had my tubes tied. All I felt was tugging and pressure, no real pain. What freaked me out was being paralyzed. When they saw my eyes open and I could blink responses, they quickly put me back under
I dont like my tunes tied together also. Like... what they doin to my songs dawg. I didnt need a katy perry v dmx song remix but i kinda feel it now. 😅
I've been watching a LOT of Dr Youn lately. I think a lot of people only think about BBL, nosejobs and boobjobbs when they think plastic surgery, but it is so much more. Seeing people with deformities from birth, after accidents, botched operations etc, suddenly get that life changing surgery, and seeing how happy they are afterwards.. It's honestly so cool and so heartwarming. I know I have gained SO much respect for ethical plastic surgeons!
Hi Ken and Buff! Im gonna put myself out there abit and let you know one of the smallest gesture’s has a big effect. Im 32 and I live alone. Hearing the “I love you” at the end of your videos makes a difference in my day. In a strictly platonic way. My friend circle is small and I isolate myself alot. So just hearing that simple “I love you” actually makes me like myself a little bit more. It helps my day more than you guys will know. Thank you both. Not only for the laughs, but for also being really great people. Stay Toasty Ken I hope they taze em’ BuffPro
Reminder: If you’re feeling your chest and you feel a little lump, get it checked out. Men can have breast cancer too! Not sure about that “mammary gland”, Ken.
The fact that 11 ignorant people so far upvoted this... Men have nipples due to the fact we all start growing the same way, then start to develop more and our organs determining our gender. Men's nipples serve no purpose, but are left with anatomy that are not as developed as females. The fact you just said men can have breast cancer too but you're not sure about that mammory gland is just stupid. "Gonads" for instance, upon further devlopment, either grow/migrate/turn into testes or ovaries with combination of the chromosomes and hormones determining the function. Fun fact. some men can have a high level of the hormone prolactin which causes leakage from the nipples.
Men can have get mammory glads and even lactate! It's a small percent, but it happens, just like intersex persons. It's all about genetics and what Gene's are expressed!
something I didn't expect to see today:Ken and Buff giving themselves breast exams, but this is the kind of content I've come to expect from this all-inclusive channel 🎉
I feel very sympathetic to this situation. The healing process for the Gynecomastia (man boobs) surgery I’ve heard is veryyyyy painful. There is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of at all if this is you. But people can be so mean sometimes. This guy seems very lovable and confident, glad he’s taking steps to get what he wants
Hey! I actually got this surgery this year and in my experience (ofc might be different for others) it wasn't too bad, just some bruising and discomfort when sleeping for about a week (you need to be inclined) but it gets better soon (also not working out for a month is also very painful 😂) (also thanks btw for the rest of your comment 😌)
at least he did it because he didnt like them though, lots of dudes dont care and its more an other people societal shame thing. But then the reverse of that is going way too far in too fat pride and ignoring general health and heart disease.
I broke my back at the age of 26 and had to receive epidural shots for years. I actually woke up during one of them, but could not move my body or say a word. All I could do was cry until the anesthesiologist saw the tears hitting the floor. I felt the needle go into my back and touch my spine. I heard the nurses and the doctor talking perfectly. One of the worst feelings in the world. A few years later, I had to go in for a serious back surgery receiving a fusion and was so scared that I would wake up. NO JOKE!!!
I have broke my back and had two fusions done. Also an RN. I have never heard of anyone getting put to sleep for that. Sometimes slightly sedated or just local anesthesia. Sometimes nothing.
I had two c-sections, awake of course, and I was terrified every second of it. Knowing you're stuck there, with your abdomen opened up, not even able to move your lower half....if you wanted to flee the situation you couldn't no matter what. It was horrifyingly awful to me and I never wanna be awake for a surgery again. The drugs they gave me afterwards though ALMOST made it worth it 😄
I had 3 c-sections but I begged to be awake for all 3. I had to lay eyes on my babies when I knew they were fresh and then make sure hubby watched them nonstop until I was able to hold them. I had a great fear of mixed-up babies. (This was before some of the modern tech they have.)
@@jenniferwintz2514 oh it was a conflict for sure, I would not have liked to miss my babies' first moments and have them on my chest. Plus I think if they put you under you can't have anyone in there with you, or maybe that was a covid thing idk, but anyway that part had me fearing a switch up like you also.
Man I had my first son by book natural. And my baby girl I had an emergency c-section I had a placental abruption amd I was so happy I was not awake lol
I had a c section with my son and was terrified I was going to feel everything. Mine was technically an emergency because the ER thought I had miscarried him and when they checked me the Dr broke my water but he wasn't head down yet. It was a very emotional experience.
@@tressaoetker6646 omg I can't imagine the rollercoaster you went through!! I'm so glad it turned out ok ❤️ of btw, my second c-section I felt her cut into my abdomen. Not as badly as I would have without the spinal thing, but it felt like a faint paper cut, and I could feel any pressure put on the area. I don't think she believed me at first so she tested me and found out yeah I could feel it lol, so they had to up some drug
He’s a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity. Their symbol is the letter K in a diamond (chest) and the hand gesture is the same. They are also known for wearing suits and dressing well, that’s why he dresses so dapperly.
It's called gynecomastia. It's mostly genetic but obesity can be part of it and it's actually pretty common for men (though this is a more severe case). Putting on muscle can help with the appearance in more mild cases, but the only way to get rid of it is through surgery (to answer buff's question about chest flies lol)
@@bisexualfrenchfry1953mine too. My brother that’s special needs was on that medication for years and it also didn’t help with the constant weight changes 😮💨 I’d love to be able to get surgery for him one day so he doesn’t have to deal with that his entire life
I didn’t wake up in the middle of the surgery, but right before. They had already given me the anesthesia, but I remember opening my eyes and looking at the lights and I heard the OR Nurse say “uhhh. She needs more anesthesia” i never wanna see the inside of an OR again😂 terrifying
Good call on the heel striking when running! I did for years not knowing how it was effecting my joints. Landing on the ball of your foot makes the muscles absorb most of the impact. It is also effective when jogging or walking without shoes on.
If you have to run heel to toe, strengthening your tibialis anterior muscle can reduce the impact on your knees, similar to catching the weight on the toes.
I had breast reduction surgery as a teenage male It was literally the most painful experience of my life. Woke up from the surgery in a lot of pain and just threw up. I had a bruised/busted chest for months.
It's ridiculous how seemingly easy it is to get bigger breasts with barely any scarring and yet for breast reduction leaves massive scars and the nipples can lose blood suppl,. There must be some better way
the shitty thing with medicine is it takes years if not decades to really get something down to easily done. I bet the first few men that tried it have fucked up chests.. I mean implants for the first couple decades were various levels of awful, with attempts at all sorts of materials. This video makes it look like its pretty simple. Its just cutting skin at all is going to scar and some people get immense pain when tissue is removed
Hi Ken! I worked in an oral surgery clinic for 2 years (aka the people who take out your wisdom teeth) and not everyone goes to sleep during wisdom teeth surgery! It’s an IV sedation/ conscious sedation because we aren’t able to completely sedate patients because we need them to breathe for themselves, or else they need to be intubated (tube in their throat that breathes for them). So some people, depending on the doctor they have, don’t fully go to sleep for the surgery. People metabolize the drugs differently and it’s considered a “light sedation” anyways, so it’s normal to remember things! It’s really just to help with any pain and keep patients calm. It’s also normal to feel things during the surgery, like pressure and pushing, but you’re not supposed to feel sharp pain
When I had my wisdom teeth removed they just numbed my mouth up and I was 100% conscious, it didn't scare me until I actually felt one of my teeth get ripped out, one of the worst pains ever. I told the doctor and he gave me a crapload more numbing stuff and I was all good after that, but man I have a fear of getting my teeth ripped out now 😂
@@FairlyAdequate35 OMG yes it is! Novacaine doesn't work on me. Only Marcaine. Dentist wouldn't listen. No nitrous. Mild oral sedative. I was in HELL! I cried the whole time she ripped the tooth out. I cried all the way home. I cried almost the entire afternoon. It was absolute agony. NEVER AGAIN!
I was actually completely under for my wisdoms, but they were super deep and turned partially sideways, so... probably a rare case. Tbh it took me a long time to wake up enough to even get me to the car, much less to fully wake up once home. But worth it to me since dental pain is a very special kind of pain that doesn't seem to respond well to any over-the-counter painkillers.
I woke up from my endoscopy portion of a endoscopy/colonoscopy and bit down on the guard in my mouth lacerating my gums. They providers didn’t say shit to me either but when I felt that gash in my mouth I knew it truly happened. Still salty no one was like “ok so she did wake up but we put her back under” they just acted like it all went smoothly…after 7 years in credentialing I know how poorly procedures can go and how little providers can care
I mean if you wake up it’s not like they are going to panic or anything it happens almost all the time all they can do is put you back under and continue the procedure.
My fault for being in the hospital, but I was having severe alcohol withdrawal and one nurse decided to just go in with a catheter, no pain meds, probably to "teach me a lesson". Not all nurses are good people. I talked to a family friend who was an RN at a major hospital in San Diego and she said stuff like that happens all of the time.
This happened to me, same thing, no acknowledgment from the doctor when I'd woken up at least twice. When I made a comment about it as she was talking post-op, she acted like she didn't hear me. I wonder if it's something they are taught not to say for legal reasons or something.
In the UK they usually won't put you under for dental work unless you have insane anxiety and see a specialist. It's pretty weird feeling them break apart and cut out your wisdom teeth, but it was a little boring laying there haha
Yeah same where I live. I prefer it since you are done faster that way and can even drive back home on your own since you aren't loopy from being put under or anything.
Same thing happened to me here in Switzerland. I thought it was the norm until I read comments about being put under in America. It seems like it's a lot more common there.
I was awake for mine and a part of me wished I had been put under 😅. They had to pull hard to get my bottom ones out and it was the most bizarre, freaky feeling. I was also having a hard time trying not to throw up from the smell of my own blood.
I was told once by a girl she couldn't sleep with a guy with bigger boobs than her. I can still feel the sting in my chest, but it made me a better man. I'm a gym bro now, she traumatized me into building my body. I can thank her now but she messed me up for a while by saying that. Looking back at it, she probably had more of a problem with her body than mine.
gym bros kinda cringe compared to a normal person lol there is a funny reason every normal guy I see including myself are walking around with their gfs and every gym bro I see is alone at the gym or with his bro lol.
Women who try to put down others bodies just ashamed of their own she was just upset she didnt have boobs lol even skinny guys have bigger tits then some girls nowadays lmao
I was on hrt (hormone replacement therapy, trans people thing) for a few years, i eventually stopped cus i didnt want to transition anymore (i accepted that im just genderfluid and hrt isnt for me) and i got lil boobs still. It starts off as a little ball in your nipple, that eventually becomes like a plate. Tissue begins to accumulate around the area, and its very sensitive.
I get fidgety just laying in an mri machine, I couldn't imagine being awake but essentially paralyzed while someone is cutting into my body & messing with my insides
I had gynecomastia from being on meds once, and I remember thinking, “is this what trans people feel like all the time?”. Fortunately, I only had lady nips; very minimal breast development, but when you already have body dysmorphia, it’s a trip. Lifting weights helped mask it, and taking SARMs that contained an estrogen blocker coupled with getting off the meds fixed it.
that feeling he explains about "dying" while getting ready for bed plagued me for about two years, it was aweful caused alot of anxiety for me wasnt until i went on medication did those thoughts stop, i feel that ken glad to know im not the only one
I had horrible man boobs when I was younger and lost 125 pounds only to still have them. Luckily my parents saved up some money and got the me surgery right before I was 17. I can’t even remember having them but it caused me so many issues, teasing daily, and embarrassing moments growing up.
Anesthesia is a huge reason I’ve been afraid of having surgery! I really really like the bedside manner of that doctor. She’s lovely. This video is so enlightening! I didn’t even know being awake would be an option for a surgery. This is very cool. Freaks me out to think about watching, though, so I’d just have someone hold up a long video on my phone or something to pass the time. 😂
I know what you're talking about Ken. When you wake up and think you're gonna die. It's anxiety. When my anxiety disorder was at its worst I had moments like that every night. Just when I was about to fall asleep and my heart rate went down I would suddenly panic because I thought my heart was about to stop. So I gasped for air while my heart played a drum solo.
Yeah, I picked up on that. Feel bad for him because I've noticed little signs here and there that he might have an anxiety disorder. My mom and sister have it and I might have it, so I picked up on it with him real quick.
I have gynecomastia and let me tell you it's a real confidence killer. I haven't been to a pool in years nor have I been out for a social event in over a decade. I just stay at home or work. Have never been on a date because my confidence is really low. I hope this guy has the best rest of his life.
One of my friends has gynecomastia, but despite the jokes thrown his way hes always been very confident and sociable and never had any issues getting women and eventually married. I hope someday you are able to find similar happiness.
I dated a guy with it. He was always insecure about it too but it never looks as bad or noticeable as you think it does! I barely noticed it until he brought it up. I can’t speak for all women but we have body confidence issues too, chances are they’ll be more sympathetic than you think. Or rather too worried about their own issues to even notice yours!
I'm an over sleeper. I end up in a room by myself and a nurse looking at me. I'm scared I won't wake up, but not enough to have awake surgery everrrrrr!
Woke up during my 4 wisdom tooth removal when I was 16 and it was a horrific and traumatizing experience and tainted my perspective of going to the dentist to this day(Im a 32yr old dude) Its rare but it can definitely happen! The DR was straddling me on the table, felt major tension on my jaw and heard nothing but snapping and crracking of bone. Messed me up for quite awhile
I did my wisdom teeth with local anesthetic. So I was awake and the anesthetic didnt even stop the pain, so everything hurt and the damn thing made me cry as a side effect. It was supposed to make me forget but i remembered it all and the only thing i forgot was the car ride home lol. The worst part? The dentist putting his metal tool on my lip, resting his his hand on there was sooo painful. Second was the sound of my teeth breaking, but it was a far second place tho.
It's normal where I live for them pull teeth, even wisdom teeth, through local anaesthesia. I've had it done several times. However, they always check first if the numbing is in effect before they start. Otherwise, they make you wait another 10 minutes or so to let it take more effect, and if need be, add more. The fact they didn't stop when you declared you could still feel it is very messed up!
I went completely under for my wisdoms, and I'm quite glad I did. Only part I remember is feeling them prep me for the shot whilst chatting with me (presumably so they'd know when I fell asleep lol) and waking up right after with super bleary eyes to see my dad waiting for me. I fell back asleep after that, no idea how I made it into the car cuz' I don't think my father would have been able to carry me at that point ahaha maybe one of the nurses helped idk. Very much worth the extra time to wake up and even the extra cost when insurance doesn't cover full anesthesia just to make sure I don't feel a dang thing. I've heard far too many horror stories from those who have done the locals only.
Oh they waited extra time, it's just I have a bad tolerance to anesthesia so if they waited even longer the meds would have started to wear off. So I told them just go on with it. Sure it hurt but it wasn't full on the proper pain. Except for the lip, the lip was fully feeling every pain.
Wow-seeing all these people wake up during surgery is insane. I usually have the opposite problem. I had my ear drum repaired and I kept falling asleep to the point I almost had to stay overnight. Luckily I did stay awake long enough to go to the car and then I slept on the ride home. Most of the time I wake up and I vomit. It happened when I had my tonsils removed as an adult and it was awful.
I had my C-section awake, it was nice experience. I was chatting with the doctors and nurses while they get my baby out of the womb 😂. I witnessed my baby’s first moment in this world literally. But I never get my backbone strength back again
I woke up during surgery when I was a kid. It was terrifying but I got over it pretty quickly afterwards because I had seen nature shows where they showed how a fly sees the world. I remember the doctor saying he's waking up in an echo chamber and the mask coming back down. I was actually part of an experiment with new types of knock out gas because I had problems with allergic reactions to the old 80's gas. New stuff is waaaaay better!
Fun fact about what Ken mentioned on how we all start development as female not only does this correlate with breasts but also all babies start out with ovaries and then depending on gender these ovaries can drop down and form into testicle, so technically all testicles at one point used to be an ovary
Having a C-section awake was the most surreal experience but thankfully I'd been awake for 3 days and had an epidural so i was absolutely out of it to really appreciate how surreal it actually was.
I woke up during a rotator cuff surgery ...didn't feel anything..I remember opening my eyes and they said "oh shit he's awake"... I was back out that quickly
I woke up during a hysterectomy I remembered it being horrible pain and someone saying take a deep breath. I had a few surgeries sense and told the annestrolgist about it and he said redheads are harder to put out. I am not a ginger just red highlights.
All the love to dudes who embrace the extra tissue in their chest, but I think this is a great example of how gender-affirming surgery can be for cis-folks too! People deserve to feel comfortable in their skin and sometimes a little help in the desired direction makes a huge difference in someone's confidence and comfort.
Definitely. My breasts are deformed and I’ve never been able to afford to fix them. They aren’t shaped right, one is almost flat to my chest and is pointy, the other is a whole 3 cup sizes larger, sags, and is cone shaped. Tuberous breasts. They’ve brought me so much heartache and shame. I’m almost 24, hopefully before 30 I’ll finally be the beautiful woman I deserve to be. I’ve never felt beautiful. I’d like to be able to take a shower without crying and wearing whatever I want, not having to stuff my bra and even struggle to find bras. I’d even like to go for a swim, that must be nice. It has deeply affected my self esteem and hindered relationships. Unfortunately for me, always been poor with a mountain of other problems. Including a lung disease I’ve been unable to get treatment for, but my priorities are out of wack and I value my appearance over my health. Even though I’m often suicidal about it and I’ve expressed that openly, it doesn’t matter because it’s considered “cosmetic” and it’s not killing me. But It is killing me, mentally. It’s been severely detrimental to my mental health. I can’t even leave the house most days. I don’t have much to live for, so I’d rather die young and beautiful than live to be old and miserable. Being alive doesn’t mean you’re living. If I’m forced to be here in a life I never wanted I’d at least like to be happy with the skin I’m in.
My mom was given morphine for surgery but she didn't go under. She said she tried alerting them that she couldn't breathe but she couldn't speak. They said to give her more because she was "fighting them". Turned out she was allergic to it. Btw she's alive and well. Thank God
I woke up halfway through cervical surgery and managed to climb up on the table with the destructive tool still active in me... permanent head pain for the rest of my life. Can't blame the guy for wanting to stay awake. Good on him =)
I remember getting my tonsils removed when I was a child and I guess the didn’t put me under enough and I woke up mid surgery and they didn’t notice that I was awake until close to the end of it when I was just staring and looking around and I ended up scaring one of the people there 😅 It was interesting since I didn’t feel anything but like I did if it makes sense lol
As someone who has had 23 surgeries and only had trouble waking up once it’s not that bad. I do still worry I won’t wake up but they do everything to make sure that you are safe.
When I got my wisdom teeth removed, I remember waking up in the middle of it. I didn't open my eyes, but I could feel everything going on in my mouth. I started crying, it's as if I were responding to "pain," though there was no pain. I think the nurses or whoever was comforting me and making sure I go back under. There are some other details, but I wonder how much of this memory is fabricated in my mind.
Omg I would NEVER!! I had TMJ surgery last year and I told my anesthesiologist that I didn’t want to wake up too early with the tube up my nose. That was my worst fear. I was so scared beforehand that I wouldn’t wake up but I was fine. I can’t imaging being awake for surgery. I can’t even have a cavity filled without medicine to help me stay calm. I had an upper endoscopy and I told them I wanted a heavier sedation because I didn’t want to be aware AT ALL!
Who thought of that horror story about the son who was in a coma and mother told him stuff about she wished he’d die,and not only did he come out of the coma alive and well but he remembered what she told him
As someone who underwent breast reduction surgery + lipo, yes. A lot of skin is cut away. I lost 11 and a half pounds during the first surgery. (I had three surgeries because everything that could go wrong basically went wrong.)
Buff's expression when Ken was poking around for the "mammary gland" was everything 😂 Also, absolutely NOT! I just had a surgery a few weeks ago. I can't imagine ANY scenario where I would have wanted to be awake for it. Ahhh!
The reason men who are larger often develop gynecomastia is because adipose (fat tissue) has an enzyme that results in greater conversion to estrogen of the body’s androgens. These estrogens in turn cause gynecomastia.
A cis man getting gender affirming care is great to see. I hope we can all continue to support all people’s gender affirming care regardless of their gender identity.

I'm a fan as well, and I've been binge watching you guys for X years now. Some contents are kinda dragging, gotta be honest, but I still watch it anyway coz I love your vibe, especially your tandem! Chin splints is from lack of conditioning and being overweight. Try running more and losing weight and you will get them less. Heel to toe is a good running technique.
The thing with heel striking is that it is often a result of overstriding, meaning you land in front of your center of gravity which slows you down. Many good runners and triathletes heel strike but the key is to not land in front of that center of gravity.
I woke up during a sedated dental surgery, tooth and wisdom tooth removal and bone grafting, and I grabbed the oral surgeon’s hand in like a death grip even though my arms were strapped down with an IV in, I ripped my arm out to grab his hand! I remember them telling me “let go, it’s okay” and just feeling scared and like my body reacted on its own. Luckily he adjusted the meds and I fell back asleep right away but I felt so bad I apologized profusely lol. I’m very difficult to sedate and this was the first successful “full” sedation I was able to get. It is a little funny looking back but also a little scary! But it’s cool to know our bodies will protect us, even if we aren’t fully aware of what’s happening, my body still recognized pain was being induced and tried to stop it despite my thinking not being fully there. I must’ve really startled the poor oral surgeon 😂, suddenly opening my eyes and grabbing his hand like a zombie. Lol!
I got one of my wisdom teeth pulled out today. I live in The Netherlands tho, so here it’s always an awake surgery with local anesthesia. I absolutely hated the experience. I got a lot of pain now and I really don’t want to go back for my other side :")
@@esmeentie that doesn’t make any sense. It’s hard to eat regardless of having them done one side at a time or all at once! I had a few friends that did them half at a time and they all regretted it. @@rationallyruby that’s what they told me🤷🏼♀️ I recovered alright but have a small mental trauma from it (the surgeon was not patient, rude and rushed everything. It hurt and I had a panic attack during the surgery). I don’t want to do the other side, but I’ll have to eventually…
I actually know a guy who was never super large and lost weight, was really always a smaller size who was plagued with boobs like this. You'd expect it from someone who has lost a lot of weight or had weight loss surgery or something but it does happen to just regular sized guys too without having any of that. Just depends on your individual body.
You guys talked about all my fears at once 😂😂😂 I'm afraid of going into surgery and not waking up AND going to sleep and not waking up.. I can't sleep sometimes thinking about it like what if I sleep and don't wake up 🙃
I did that too, it was absolutely horrifying. I’d wake up in panic and scared. Definitely not a fun experience. But I’ve gotten over that as well, thank goodness
I was terrified when i was put under for gallbladder surgery everything went fine but im still scared to go through it again cuz the flippin anesthesiologists bill. I guess in a way that's kind of comforting though because those people make bank to make sure you don't die 😅

I've been through genetic breast cancer 3 times and paid $0 for oncologists, surgeries, anesthesiologists, hospital stays, reconstructive surgery , chemotherapy, radiotherapy, cat scans, MRIs, pathology, etc... If I was in the US I'd be bankrupt or dead. New Zealand, UK, Germany, France, Sweden, Denmark, etc... All have this system. The US has conned the general public. I hope you stay healthy. Take care

Being alive doesn’t mean you’re living. If I’m forced to be here in a life I never wanted I’d at least like to be happy with the skin I’m in.
@@idorus tbh those are the crazy trans ppl that say that. Yeah trans guys at some point during their lives have those things but we change their appearance firstly from clothing then surgery. If male and female didn’t exist we wouldn’t transition.
I run track in college and I've always been told for speed use your toes, for distance use your mid foot to heel, uphill use toe that's as far as I know.
I for one am all for the man boob. So squishy lol. I remember growing up one of my best friends would always say her older brother needed a bra because his boobs were bigger than hers 😂
The unofficial term for it is “twilighting” cause you’re kind of awake but you don’t know what’s going on really, like you don’t feel it. I’ve only ever been put fully under, but apparently it’s common to use the half aware method for colonoscopies, or that’s what my older relatives have all told me. I have to get major surgery soon and I am terrified of having to be put under anesthesia cause I’m scared of not waking up. 😭
I'm a nursing student, and for one of my clinicals I got to watch orthopedic surgeries. I remember asking the surgeon if any of his patients have woken up and he said something along the lines that they have told him they were aware to some degree of what might have happened, but never awake to talk to him and say anything/move. On the other hand, though this isn't the same thing, I had a rotation on the L&D unit where a woman had an epidural and it didn't work, and she ended up having to get a c-section and she felt everything and it was just a nightmare! I felt so bad for the woman.
There is something called a conscious anesthetic, but there is also some thing called a twilight anesthetic. It’s a mild dose of sedation that provides anxiety relief and slight amnesia so that you can’t form any real thoughts and memories about the surgery. At least, as far as I’m aware… I know that they use that sometimes for breast implants! I could be wrong as I’m not a doctor, but that’s what I’ve read lol. (Edit, removed a comma)

My son was diagnosed early onset schizophrenic at 14 and has gynoclamastia due to his medications. He absolutely hates it, but insurance won’t help him. The other problem he has is called tardive dyskinesia (TD) from the medications. His spasms are so bad that when he went in for an endoscopy/colonoscopy he dislodged the IV and woke up with the docs asking him to try to relax his hand and arm so they could reinsert it. They’d never had anybody under propofol, which paralyzes you, do anything like that before.
local anesthetic vs general anesthetic… as someone who’s also afraid of being high in front of medical staff I’d also rather be under local anesthetic. It’s like being afraid of being too “out of it” that you’re willing to watch your own surgery so that’s why they’re basically telling him not to get too squeamish about seeing and smelling blood. He’s not scared of dying, he’s scared of saying the kind of thing you only think out loud and embarrassing himself
My husband had a chunky friend in high school and casually asked him how things were going in his relationship and he said, “Oh you know she plays with my boobs I play with her boobs.”

Waking up during surgery is weird, I didn't feel anything but I was aware enough to hear the doctor notice that I woke up. 😂 Must've been just as weird for them as it was for me. Love you guys!
I woke up and went straight into panic mode😅
I was little, like 10 or 11 and woke up when they opened up my tummy xD I remember seeing it, but I just laid my head down and fell back asleep after a while.

It's all about genetics and what Gene's are expressed!
men have mammary glands from what I was told, they just are not functional for the majority of men.
My grandfather got milk with all three of his kids.
You're entirely correct in your warning, but it's still possible.

Absolutely true. Lost my Mom to cancer a couple years ago I check all my giblets now lol. Side note don't skip the dermatologist either.
Hey! I actually got this surgery this year and in my experience (ofc might be different for others) it wasn't too bad, just some bruising and discomfort when sleeping for about a week (you need to be inclined) but it gets better soon (also not working out for a month is also very painful 😂)
(also thanks btw for the rest of your comment 😌)
at least he did it because he didnt like them though, lots of dudes dont care and its more an other people societal shame thing.
NO JOKE!!!
Holy crap
whoaaaaaaa
I felt my epidural go in before I had my son. Those needles are huge!
I’m so sorry you went through that😢 I hope you’re doing better now 🫶
I have broke my back and had two fusions done.
Man I had my first son by book natural. And my baby girl I had an emergency c-section I had a placental abruption amd I was so happy I was not awake lol

Good call on the heel striking when running! I did for years not knowing how it was effecting my joints. Landing on the ball of your foot makes the muscles absorb most of the impact. It is also effective when jogging or walking without shoes on.

I had breast reduction surgery as a teenage male
It was literally the most painful experience of my life.
I was awake for mine. Procedure wasn’t bad at all but after was awful felt like they hit me with a hammer.
where I live you just get local anaesthesia and it's fine, very uncomfortable and a bit scary but at least you're immediately fine afterwards
@@ieatoil2516 Yeah but why wouldn't they let you know
@@protalghulnist4126 exactly, that’s my point. Like things like this may happen but tell the person.

I was on hrt (hormone replacement therapy, trans people thing) for a few years, i eventually stopped cus i didnt want to transition anymore (i accepted that im just genderfluid and hrt isnt for me) and i got lil boobs still. Lol you’re not gender fluid because it doesn’t exist. You are a very confused man/woman 😂
Do you think the tissue is permanent or has it gone away/reabsorbed any since stopping hrt? Just curious!
@babymudkip8213 oops sorry. But a fair amount was redistributed away to other body parts. But the plates and a little bit of boobage will be forever

Same here, except I’m a lady with tuberous breasts. They’re deformed. It’s rough. Not a day goes by where I don’t cry.
Woke up during my 4 wisdom tooth removal when I was 16 and it was a horrific and traumatizing experience and tainted my perspective of going to the dentist to this day(Im a 32yr old dude)
Its rare but it can definitely happen!
Was it worth it to hurt your back like that
I woke up during surgery when I was a kid.

Ken, I love your moobs. Please do not be ashamed of what you were so graciously given.
My mom was given morphine for surgery but she didn't go under. She said she tried alerting them that she couldn't breathe but she couldn't speak. They said to give her more because she was "fighting them". Turned out she was allergic to it. Btw she's alive and well. Thank God
2:50 Buff really feeling himself making sure XD
I woke up halfway through cervical surgery and managed to climb up on the table with the destructive tool still active in me... permanent head pain for the rest of my life. Can't blame the guy for wanting to stay awake. Good on him =)
"destructive tool"? And it gave you headaches for life?
Climb up???
Yeah I have so many questions
Dude you can’t just say this and not elaborate
I remember getting my tonsils removed when I was a child and I guess the didn’t put me under enough and I woke up mid surgery and they didn’t notice that I was awake until close to the end of it when I was just staring and looking around and I ended up scaring one of the people there 😅 It was interesting since I didn’t feel anything but like I did if it makes sense lol
All the surgeons I seen have always said "see you on the other side." 😂
Uh
Imagine being Ken and having an auto fact check every time you say anything 😭😭😂😂
Lol 12:46 she explained that kinda funny, it’s an ultrasonic hand piece, so it does break up the fat and then suction it out
Have a great day guys! Thanks for all the laughs ❤
7:00 I had a hysterectomy. It lasted 32 minutes and they still gave me a catheter. 😂 that shit sucked
Buff's expression when Ken was poking around for the "mammary gland" was everything 😂
Also, absolutely NOT!
@@missfortune8553 wishing you the best - this broke my heart. I relate to it deeply.
I was completely awake, no anesthesia or epidural, for an emergency c-section. So being awake for a surgery sucks! I can promise you that! Lol
I'm a fan as well, and I've been binge watching you guys for X years now. Some contents are kinda dragging, gotta be honest, but I still watch it anyway coz I love your vibe, especially your tandem! But this video is different. I mean, I don't have that problem, but this is very educational for me. An eye opener. Thanks Ken and Dane! You're awesomeeeeeee~ much love from the Philippines! 🥰
The chest tattoo is his Fraternity “Phi Nu Pi”
Why do they do one side at a time?! Wtf! Why not do it all at once and get it over with lol
@@rationallyruby because then you can’t eat anything…
@@esmeentie that doesn’t make any sense. It’s hard to eat regardless of having them done one side at a time or all at once! I had a few friends that did them half at a time and they all regretted it. Said they wished they just had gotten them all done at the same time. I hope it went well for you tho!
LMAO you'd think you'd want to override the anxiety of the surgery from being put under but this guy is awake and calling his mom! 🤣
I actually know a guy who was never super large and lost weight, was really always a smaller size who was plagued with boobs like this. You'd expect it from someone who has lost a lot of weight or had weight loss surgery or something but it does happen to just regular sized guys too without having any of that. Just depends on your individual body.
@AkaNook
for Scott: i’ve really been enjoying your editing especially these past weeks!! i rly like the background patterns you’ve been choosing :)
You guys talked about all my fears at once 😂😂😂 I'm afraid of going into surgery and not waking up AND going to sleep and not waking up.. I can't sleep sometimes thinking about it like what if I sleep and don't wake up 🙃
At least passing in your sleep is the easiest way to go. Don't feel anything, don't know anything. I'd hate it for my family though. 😱
I did that too, it was absolutely horrifying. I’d wake up in panic and scared. Definitely not a fun experience. But I’ve gotten over that as well, thank goodness
His tattoo is Phi Nu Pi, a reference to Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity. It was founded at Indiana University (INU).
Lol I came here to say that!
Scrolled all the way down for this! Yup!
...the way he says "....supple" and the sly grin that followed 😏 I spit out my coffee!
I was terrified when i was put under for gallbladder surgery everything went fine but im still scared to go through it again cuz the flippin anesthesiologists bill. I guess in a way that's kind of comforting though because those people make bank to make sure you don't die 😅
Come to Australia,we have free health care for all at the point of service, our usual income taxes cover it. It doesn't matter if you're a student, working, disabled, unemployed, retired etc... Everyone gets looked after. Take care
Dane looking confused and rubbing his chest killed me xD
Just so y'all know: this, too, is gender affirming care! It's not just trans people who get gender affirming care 🤗

i thought physical traits didn't have anything to do with gender and men can have boobs and vaginas too???
@@idorus tbh those are the crazy trans ppl that say that. Yeah trans guys at some point during their lives have those things but we change their appearance firstly from clothing then surgery. If male and female didn’t exist we wouldn’t transition.
Cool.

Good for the guy, Im sure only he was concerned or thought about. All love!
11:00 I heard a 'joke' once about this, "Any thought after 10 pm is not peer reviewed"
"memory gland" hahahahha love it. It's mammary glands but, memory has a little more razzle dazzle lol
I love how Ken is feeling himself up during the video.
10:00 Worst doctor ever. I would find someone else to knock me out. lol
7:22 "Gruber, I ain't never heard that last name before" so you're admitting to the whole world right now that you've never seen the action film classic DIE HARD?!
