Hey Ken! I've been in audience of this show before a few times and it is a legally binding decision from Judge Rinder. He's not actually a judge, but a barrister here in the UK and in small claims court they can oversee a case and award up to £5,000. However, the production company actually pay the amount awarded to the person who has a successful claim. Love from the UK 🇬🇧
US limits differ in each state, most are average: Under $8 to $10k for individual claims $5k for business Some states even have a Limit of 2 - over $2500 claims per year
Here in the US, Judge Judy (and the other judge shows) are legally binding decisions. Though in terms of settlements, at least on the shows since it's all small claims - the max allowed settlement is $5,000 and the producers will pay for it along with paying the parties for appearing on the show.

I met Anastasia, Hannibal, and Lurch a few years ago. But like, it's a circus of HORRORS, it's a literal freak show. It's kind of in the title, I don't understand how people are upset that the scary clown is scary.
Literally. Not even into the case yet just from Ken looking them up. How is this even in court? Like you booked a freakshow and got mad that you booked a freakshow

Im afraid not, its binding arbitration in final settlement in the UK aswell. A small claims court would dismiss any subsequent case because you accepted a settlement (ie that the show would pay regardless of ruling) which is how the UK show works. This has made my day. Judge Rinder was my guilty pleasure in the early pandemic! I hope you react to more of his videos. You guys will love the way he rips into people. He’s the UK’s prissy answer to Judge Judy.
If I remember correctly each person on the show has to submit their statements and evidence before they go on the show. The judge then goes through everything and finds his own evidence and contradictory statements so when he is having each person tell their side of the story, he is looking for any contradictions in their statements. That's what I got from the little amount of the show I could watch when I had time though and now I no longer live in the UK.
Judge rinder is actually a really great judge. I love watching him! He can be funny, but he's scary once he gets serious. He doesn't take people's BS, especially when someone is affected gravely from it. A woman was being sued by her ex husband once because she was using his bank account. She had stole thousands of pounds from him and felt no remorse, and when confronted about it by the judge, she said she was justified in using it because "well he never stopped me". The poor man had autism and she was manipulating him. The judge blew up on her, kicked her out when she kept trying to justify it, and then ended up giving the man and his daughter advice about the situation. He ends every video like that. Most likely because he gets a lot of people who try talking over him when he's making a point in court. He pretty much made it a thing since he found himself having to say it a lot with these people. I'd watch something where he confronts liars and such. This are really good watches to see him pull people's stories apart

For those curious about the legalities of the situation - the courts and judges on these TV shows are "fake" in the sense that they're not part of the government, but apparently the disputes are (sometimes?) real and the people who go on the shows sign a real (legally-binding) contract agreeing that they want their dispute to be completely resolved by the TV judge's decision. It's basically a form of binding arbitration, which is a type of an out-of-court settlement. So, let's say a losing party from one of these shows wasn't happy about the TV judge's decision. They could file a lawsuit about the dispute that was heard on the show at a real courthouse, but they would lose if the defendant shows proof both parties signed a contract to settle the matter once and for all by going on a TV show.
I heard from someone else he isn’t just a random actor though, he is a barrister? So it would be similar to a lawyer or legal arbitrator & arbitrators do the same thing.
I am so glad you found Judge Rinder. His sass is everything. There was a game show in England where they surprised him in his house and he happened to be wearing a shirt that says "Only Judy can Judge me" and it was perfect.

We had signs on the doors, etc. stating "masks were not permitted in the store" It even got to the point where we took all the Horror Clown costumes off the shelf thiat Holliday season. Man I loved that manager!!
Saw the circus of horrors at Download Festival one year and loved them. Never knew they'd been in judge rinder so seeing Ken and Dane react to this was a dang treasure!
They are definitely on this show for promotion. This is a fake court show, that's not a real judge and there are no actual lawyers or bailiffs in the room. Like you said most courtrooms you have to stand up for the judge to come in the court room and you can very much get arrested and go to jail for not standing when a judge enter the room. I think you should go for some actual real court cases because no one is as entertaining as a true crazy ass person and one thing they tend to have in common is that they usually get arrested and have to face the charges.
Honestly I agree they probably are, but this show is legally binding and basically small claims where statements and evidence are submitted to be reviewed by rinder beforehand
You don’t even need any of that ettiquette nonsense to know that courtroom isnt real. Its as simple as the fact its recorded. Its illegal to record and broadcast courtrooms in the UK.

Both incidents involved someone dressed as a killer clown and it's one of the major reasons why people were so afraid of the killer clowns when it was going around.

Judge Rinder is amazing. Also I've been unemployed for a while now and finally got offered a job. Perfect video to celebrate with
Congrats 🎉 I know how hard it can be, I've been there and it sucks 😞 hopefully the new job isn't too stressful and helps you out a lot ❤️
LOVE THIS JUDGE USED TO WATCH THESE ALL THE TIME!! he's a very funny judge
Can u imagine this guy going to prison and people in there ask why he's there lol
This Judge was just breaking the 4th WALL at the end by looking straight thru the camera and talking at us like he's DEADPOOL!
You guys absolutely need to watch the episode where one young man wee's his friends drum set, a crime of revenge for a broken wrestler figure.
That one was so funny 🤣
I remember I worked at Wal-Mart during the "Killer Clown Era" my manager at the time actually gave me permission to keep a wiffle ball bat behind the cash register and I had every right if I saw a Horror Clown come into the store to chase them out of the store. We had signs on the doors, etc. stating "masks were not permitted in the store" It even got to the point where we took all the Horror Clown costumes off the shelf thiat Holliday season. Man I loved that manager!!
Everyday at noon.... like clock work. Eating with my lunch.
Thank you Boys,❤️
I love Judge Rinder!!! He loves dogs and often gets cases related to dog attacks and he's very fair yet strict. Please react to more Judge Rinder!!!
I love Judge Rinder, he’s hilarious, good choice!
i love judge rider so much he’s hilarious, wish i came up with the thought to have ken and buff react to him a long time ago 😂
Judge Rinder is an icon. So glad you guys reacted to him. 😂💙
3:45 that clip of the horror circus scared Ken so badly it brought the south in him back for a hot second lmfao
Ken and Buff do know that judges get documents summarizing everything a head of time right? Like that’s pretty standard.
This is so strange. Literally booked my tickets for Circus of horrors last night. Such a good show!
glitch in the matrix
Damn that judge was really... clowning around
Jesus Christ is Lord. Please take your salvation seriously. Read the Bible and do what it says. It is all True.,
Saw the circus of horrors at Download Festival one year and loved them.
What if you don't have legs
FINALLY, a Judge Rinder video! I’ve waited actual years for this react from you two. Hopefully there will be more - Rinder doesn’t mess around.
Haven’t watched you guys in quite awhile. I miss you guys on the couch but still quality content 👍

YEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS this judge is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE PLEASE PLEASE PLEEEEEEEAAASSEEEEEE do more of his courtroom literally any of em
Basically this is Arbitration rather than an actual Civil Suit, both parties agree on an arborator who will decide who gets compensation based on what is discussed rather than a jury verdict. See: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia S12
E6 for a funny example.
Jesus Christ is Lord. Please take your salvation seriously. Read the Bible and do what it says. It is all True.,
I don't know who the guy above is but whoever is reading this should come up with their own viewpoints on religion.
@@jamesmayle3787 You ok bro? Need a snickers?
I worked at a horror attraction the same year the clown stuff happend. The theme was circus ironically and we had to do an emergency shut down as someone reported a clown that dident look like part of the show at the end of the bit Aka where I was. Turns out it was the sound dude who was in charge of the music and smoke machine, he just put on a spooky mask incase someone seen him it dident break the illusion
That sounds horrifying if you didn’t know who it was at first lol
@@jollymastermind1237 no one told us what was going on except tours were stopped. The security came to check on us and explained what happend only to realize it was our sound guy lol
Yall took the words outta my mouth. Just reading the title i thought of the news cast about someone tieing balloons to sewer grates a few weeks b4 the new "IT" came out. Also, id like to see yall cover more ridiculous court cases. It's hilarious what ppl think they can sue over
I'm so happy you reacted to Judge Rinder! i hope you have more reactions to his videos, they really are priceless laughs.
I actually find the judge really funny
omg i’ve been waiting for you to do judge rinder it’s like british judge judy 😭😭
I love that this judge is a nice balance of serious and silly. Like he came here to do a job, and that job was to be an entertaining tv judge
FINALLY!! A happy birthday from Ken. And guys, your videos helped me a lot going through very hard time last months, so thank you very much and keep doing your best guys. You're awesome🔥
Belated happy birthday bro !!!
Ken thank you for making me laugh this morning. Woke up like 10 min ago and in a good mood now.
Jesus Christ is Lord. Please take your salvation seriously. Read the Bible and do what it says. It is all True.,
If the clown is a trouble for being too scary, then he needs a raise not a lawsuit If he works at a place called the circus of horrors
Ayeeeeeee another awesome video thanks ken!
it’s literally been out for 2 minutes
@@ktwhite1877 speed watching
@@ktwhite1877 when I pressed play it was out at 45 seconds and yes speed watching is key when you don't don't have 10 to 20 mins to watch a video but still wanna support 🙏
I'm in Canada and the news about the killer Clown back in 2016-2017 was that some people were physically attacking other people and the people dressed as clowns were literally trying to murder people and there were two deaths as I know of one from a stabbing and one from an accidental issue that happened. Both incidents involved someone dressed as a killer clown and it's one of the major reasons why people were so afraid of the killer clowns when it was going around.
Title reminded me of the killer clown craze from like 2016 or something. Times were wild back then
Edit: Ken and Buff touched on this in the video haha
The good ole days
Watching you make fun of this show that I've been watching myself here for years is so hilarious 😂 I lived in Delaware for 15 years, but I was born in England 🇬🇧 and have been back for 11 years. The contrast is so funny to me 😄
hippies are ultra cool :)
Omfg yaaaas Judge Rinder!!! I love him 😩👌🏻 i like watching the compilation videos his channel posts lmao, I think Ken & Buff will really enjoy his content!
It is actually himself. He is naturally like that. I think he is a great judge/barrister
It's basically the legal version of Jeremy Kyle hope u can do more of these 💚 from the the uk 🤟
"I have a fear of clowns, lets go to a horror Circus! Wait, there are things i fear? UNBELIEVEBLE!!!"
The judge is the scariest thing about this video.
"TALKING" is always hilarious to hear him yell at people though.
You said Rinder right the first time, I love Rinder, he has a good sense of humor & he can be funny at times.
You'd think if anyone would benefit from a scary clown fad it should be the circus of HORRORS!! LMAO
I'm pretty sure even in Judge Judy they have to fill out a form before going to the show telling their cases and detailing what happened and when they're in court the judge asks them to tell their version so she can tell if they're lying or not.
6:26 “yes I do” 🤯
🤣
I'm hooked! I love judge render! He's hilarious and I'm so happy to see y'all react 😂
the Judge gives me very strong killer clown vibes - especially at the end
When pennywise gets caught
7:47 he looks like Cole Phelps from LA Noire how overly expressive he is 🤣🤣🤣
Lol I'd be the anti social clown 🤡 🤣
Jesus Christ is Lord. Please take your salvation seriously. Read the Bible and do what it says. It is all True.,
Please do more judge Rinder, because his antics and banter is amazing!
The clown looks like Michael Jackson?

As an American I thank you for him..... 😁.... just love him! ❤ He puts me in TEARS of laughter..... watching him crack up is like the highlight of my life
I would love to see a livestream philosophical discussion/ clip review of basically anything but with these two progressively getting more and more drunk
UK Version of Judge Judy 😂. Judge Rinder is actually quite funny. Thank god a video dropped. I’m currently in South East Asia and I’m not getting my normal early evening fix
The picture of the clown in the convenience store is hilarious.
