HOI4: What's The Point of Supporting The German Coup?

- South Africa today will break away from the United Kingdom, to do this they will turn to an unexpected source, the Germans. Together they will plan a coup in South-West of the country which will eventually grow in a civil war that'll decide the fate of the nation.
Along the way we will explore this coup to see if it's ultmately worth doing at all, this'll take South Africa to some far-flung places and may even return the favor to their former colonizers.

It's been a year and a bit since South Africa last featured on this channel, So to look at them from this overlooked perspective is great. They along with the other TFV trees aren't the easiest to make videos for and it can feel like they are one note nations sometimes, when you've done one or two things with them it's like you've done it all.

South Africa is the ugly duckling of Together for Victory.
The path South Africa needs:
- Proper way to get Jan Smuts as leader, also please make him the starting field marshal. Also can get DF Malan later as historical.
- ANC path, break free from UK as democratic.
- African fascist path
- Revenge of Edward VIII (non-aligned or fascist)
- African monarchy path which can be either non-aligned or alternate fascist (rexism). Please give the similar path for India as well
Yeah, Hertzog resigned in 1939 after his government refused to declare war on Germany.
This path makes me think of the Free India path, where of you have specific fascist support and world tension, Germany will back the civil war and when it happens you'll join the axis. It's also the way you get Bose as a leader.

IMO i like the ideas of give new one or upgrading nationals spirtis rather than give some little infas/factory stuff. Well most of countries focus need fix/redesign btw.
At the outbreak of WW1, some Boer exiles that fled to SWA aided the Germans and tried to invade South Africa. That's besides the fact that Germany was the main source of weapons for the OVS and ZAR during the 2nd Anglo-Boer war, as well as having sent volunteers and ambulance teams.

I've heard that Inflexible strategist is actually better. The defense bonus also gives breakthrough because of a bug, and bold attack from brilliant strategist makes your divisions worse as the tactic sucks
