Sonic R (PC) [4K] - Unlocked Characters Playthrough

Thought I'd do all of the unlocked characters (except for Super Sonic) after playing through the stages as the starter characters (including Super Sonic) in the previous Sonic R video. Come to think of it, it's like I played with the good guys in the first video, and the villains in this one.

Sonic R was a mess but nowadays I'm sure sega can make a racing game with on foot characters that run & drift accurately on a set racing track

Well you're not wrong but if you take a look at Team Sonic racing for Nintendo switch, that game is almost just as big if not an even bigger mess than this game and I honestly think that this game looks better and I haven't even played it yet.

Kinda wish Super Sonic wasn’t an opponent when you pick one of the unlocked characters. Sure, you can just not get all the emeralds (that’s what I did at one point), but then the game feels kinda incomplete if you don’t get everything.

Funny thing is, this isn't even hard mode and I still had trouble against him.

You can always use Cheat Engine to change the character line-up of each race (if you're playing the PC version), like I do.

Not gonna lie, pretty lame unlockable characters, they could've used so many other options that were actually different like Vector or Espio.
I mean I get some of the unlockable characters, Metal Sonic makes sense, obviously need to have eggman, super sonic is technically a skin so I won't count that, but metal knuckles, a tails doll, and an eggbot, really? You couldn't find any other character that would work, no just put a robotic version of knuckles and tails along with a vanilla eggman robot.
There were other Sonic characters that were around back then like I mentioned, there was vector and Espio, idk if shadow or rouge existed back in the 64 era but if they did you could've added them instead.

I honestly don’t know what other characters existed back then either. But Sonic Adventure was after this game.

@@NeoTechnoman yeah that's true, so maybe they could've put shadow or rouge in, but let's be honest almost anything would be better than metal knuckles, tails doll, and Eggman robot.

@@bowlingboi9633 True. But I pretty much said that Shadow, Rouge, etc. didn’t exist when this game was made. I guess anyone from Sonic the Fighters and Knuckles Chaotix makes sense though.
