You do know that these smart devices can be added to Tuya or SmartHome app right? So you dont have to end up using 10 different apps for 10 different devices. I have got all my smart devices (Arlec, Holman, Kogan, Dick Smith) controlled through SmartHome.
Yep, I had considered making a video (as I forgot to include it in this video) but decided against it as I only have a couple of items that suggest different apps, and I don't feel I have enough information for the need to make another video. Thanks

@@jayzah currently I'm using home assistant, it can trigger a notification when the kettle returns to off It'll try boil even when empty,but there is a safety that will shut it down safely when empty, I should have included it in the video, but I didn't know if it would break it, but since then I have tried it at different water levels and repeatedly set it to boil when empty and it seems to be very reliable with it's safety shut off
That definitely sounds like an error, I'd would get in contact with customer support, it should have come with 1 years warranty. Sorry to hear about this issue, hope it doesn't put you off smart products
Yes, if the kettle is empty and is there turned on, the element will begin to heat, then a safety will trigger shutting down the kettle to protect it from damage
Hold down the temp button for about 5 seconds, until it beeps once. The light in the top-left corner of the screen will blink rapidly, showing that the kettle is in pairing mode.
I can see mt kettle in Google Home but can't get it to turn on or off? It just says offline. Any ideas? The kogan app works fine and I have linked that to Google. Thanks for the video.

Yep, there's a whole range, and when you start programming yourself, there's even more options, I have a mixture of different lights

@@DubCodes thanks but it never worked. My temp button lit up but didn't do anything, couldn't even change temp. Currently organising a replacement!

Maybe try unlinking the smarterhome app from your Google account and relinking it
