We did the same… researched, flew out as soon as things opened up, looked around all over Southern Italy and fell in LOVE with Salento, and made our purchase. Can’t wait to get back and get to work on renovations. Glad to meet a neighbor and follow along on your journey!

Lol......I am also buying an apartment sight unseen. It was kind of scarry, but I had Lilly of Calabria Dreaming look at the places for me. Her and her husband did an outstanding job. She queud in spot on my priority list.
I also found my own homes and she looked them up for me.
Will be arriving around mid to late January. I am already retired!

I’m envious! I was in Puglia this past September. I visited many large and small towns to figure out what I liked. I’ve been watching Davido’s videos going on a year now. It’s nice to hear he’s willing to work with smaller budgets.

I’m moving to Italy March 2023. I narrowed it down to Puglia and Calabria Scalea in Calabria. In Puglia I open. I prefer to be in a 7% flat tax area. Did you consider that? I have been in Puglia. Love it!
Puglia is also a 7% flat tax area for a Elective Residency visa. I may choose to be a resident in the future. I love it too!
@@CasaStefano I have dual citizenship , so no visa for me. The 7% flat tax limits me to towns with less than 20,000 people. I’ll be looking around in May.

Hi, I know you touched on the “where” on this video. I had been looking at Abruzzo but after a price comparison I am looking more South. Hopefully I will be able to visit this region soon. We could be neighbors. Can you elaborate a bit on the residency program. I have a million questions, I hope you don’t mind.
It’s called the Elective Residency visa. It’s for retired people who can demonstrate sufficient passive income. Check it out!
