What a set list, Jesus. By never being interested in more than the fantastic music, they've transcended all kinds of trends that have come and gone and written loads of bona fide pop masterpieces. One of the best British bands of all time, easily
Oh man what a find. Possibly my favourite period watching the Fannies, tracks from Thirteen still part of set, the vibrancy of Grand Prix and obviously the staples from early TFC. Bring on the Creation gigs!
agree...still having 13 songs on the set was a great asset
The Fannies with loud guitars and perfect vocal harmonies. They were on fire here ❤ Great footage!
Excellent audio!!
Oh, my God! How I love this. What a treasure!
All forking time!
The audio quality is amazing. Thanks!
Thank you for the upload and keep spreading the good word....Music
The fannies are one of the best bands to come out of Scotland! Was born in 1972 so started going to gigs as a 16 yr old helped by my brothers ID. Thankfully the old ones had no photograph. Hailing from Edinburgh meant that I got to see them many a time so have seen them from the very start up to the present day. ❤❤❤❤
same year of birth, from Falkirk, I taped Bandwagonesque off a pal in 91 and was smitten. Think I've seen them 6 times maybe
This is great! Thanks!
A superb upload
awesome, shame it fades out during the best guitar solo ever!
I saw them in Bristol around this time… it was an exact playlist.. for BBC sound city.. they were on after Stangelove & before… Radiohead 😎. Grand Prix was just about to be released xx
I remember that Bristol show well.
damn rays casino sounds like utter dog compared to that red special
Is that a different drummer to the early days?
Yeah, the drummer has always been the odd man out for Teenage Fanclub. Ithink he was the drummer for 13, Grand Prix and Great songs.
That's Paul Quinn. He replaced Brendan O'Hare and was later succeeded by Francis MacDonald.
It was myself playing on this. I played on Grand Prix, Songs from Northern Britain and Howdy!
@@paulquinn9924 awesome!
@@sxmchn I don’t think we were “the odd men out” just different drummers at different periods. I played on Grand Prix, SFNB & Howdy!! How odd eh😗
