  • This video shows how to construct and test a summing amplifier based on an inverting Op Amp (LM741), using Proteus.
    This particular circuit has digital 5v/0v inputs so is a special case of the summing amp: - the Digital to Analogue Converter. A DAC is used to convert digital information (CD/MP3) to sound waves when used with a speaker.
    Without the digital inputs, the amplifier would amplify analogue input signals by the same ratio. To adjust the gains for each branch, simply change the input resisto for that branch. Branch gain = (-RF/Rin) but I used a unity gain output inverting OpAmp to avoid any negative voltages.
