Yes!! I now have merch: teespring.com/stores/learnele... Electronics themed T-Shirts!
HEY YOU ABOUT TO POST SOMETHING STUPID:
Yes, I know my hands are large/fat. It's because of a heart condition I suffer from called Congestive Heart Failure. Here's a link to some information about CHF: cle.clinic/2TdS2Ux
One of the symptoms is that is causes fluid retention, mostly in the hands, feet/ankles, and face.
It will kill me one day. I'm doing ok right now, but someday...

More classic circuits to know, great stuff. FPGA's look very interesting, I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do with one. Thanks for the video!
I always love the classic circuits we should know videos, I always learn something from them. Thanks Paul.
Enjoyed the video and I really like the series as a whole
Awesome circuit. I love your practical demos and explanations….and the schematic of course. Thank you for this great work.
Happy new coming year. Thanks for the circuit, as stated Operational Amplifier and the Sum operation is here :D
Happy new year, С Новим Годом!
Thank you for all nice and helpful videos of this year, Paul! Hope for many more. This was also very informative as usual. I really like your Classic circuits theme.
As an electrics beginner, I'm glad to say, I now have memorized the 1k and 10k color bands. :) Been watching alot of your videos to get back into my old hobby from high school.
Your video is what I need. Thank you for sharing knowledge.
Another great tutorial, best of luck getting to your 100k subscribers. Happy new year!
thank you very much you're circuits are really helpful hope you do well in the future
Pretty interesting circuit, dude! 😃
Thanks! And happy new year!!! 😊
You should write a handbook with all these puzzle piece circuits @learnelectronics
great video Paul and happy 2020 too you
Awesome Mr. paul . thankyou
Very cool, I love your videos and enjoy learning form you.
Happy New year to you and your family. I hope you have a healthy 2020.
Awsome circuit. Ty.
Thank you very much!
Thank you sir!
Yes Classic Circuit series is Great...
Hi Paul, very nice, as you are aware Im sure,... this is exactly how a D to A circuit Works with weighted values,.. very good,..
one formula we can never forget (Rf/Rin)*-1 for inverting op amp.... cheers Paul... 73s and Happy New Year all the best for 2020
Yep, I tried not to get too deep into the theory. Tends to scare some folks off, but you are right on about the formula and the use as a DAC.
Happy New Jear, Like this Channel so much:) i have to become a patrion.
Hey there. Can I please get the schematics for your dual voltage board plz ?.
Merci. Thanks for schematic. :-)
Can we add two sine waves with operational amplifier?if not then how it can be done
how to find input inrush current resistor value of power supply?
nice work , im still waitin on the promise though
Ok. Input 1 from a microphone (or mic amp), input 2 from an rf oscillator, output would be an amplitude modulated rf? Standard AM transmitter?
No that is not correct. The op-amp is performing a sum ( a signal addition). Amplitude modulation is a multiplication between the RF signal and the audio signal.
CLASSIC CIRCUITS YOU SHOULD KNOW ARE MY FAVORITE AND,MOST INTERESTING VIDEOS YOU DO.ONE APPLICATION OF A SUMMER IS DAC.
why not recycle some clipped component leads or just put some 20 or 22 guage wires on your 9v clip? btw when i worked with Opamps they had me build a +9 -9 source they taught me how to wire 2 9volt clips to make that happen.i note you only use +9 on op amp circuits.
Does the op amp require a power source larger than the sum of the inputs or was the 12v source just what you had laying around? Could this circuit be used with a standard computer power supply to tie several of the 12v outputs together to make a higher output voltage such as a 24v supply and with three leads a 36v supply? It seems too simple.
This is line level stuff, not power. It wont wont work for what you are waning it to do. Sorry.
Happy new year everyone :)
Happy new year
how to get a negative vcc
Even seeing this, I struggle with it. Why can’t I take three wires run into the same source with 10k resistors and “sum the voltages”? Of course this is silly, but why is it silly?
How would you do a non-inverting version, Paul?
Non inverting is not a good idea in this case. You lose the virtual ground and your inputs will interfere with each other.
@@learnelectronics Many thanks - I'm a bit of a noob although retired. LoL :)
Now I finally understand how a calculator works 😋
Calculators work digitally, but you know that. The op-amp summing circuit is one of the circuit elements contained in an analogue computer. These were once used to demonstrate and solve differential and integrals equations. They are still the bases of analogue feed back networks used to control motor speeds. The ubiquitous PID controller. Proportional + integral + differential feed back circuit.
And audio mixers
7:11 "Put it in the right hole, Paul" 😂
