I always forget you’re short like I am! Do you get most of your bottoms altered? what are your favorite stores/brands? I have such a hard time finding things that fit. I’m 5’1”and 105lbs so I look like I’m drowning in most clothes
I know the feeling! I’m 5’3” and very small framed (105-110lbs) so nearly everything is too big when I buy it. For pants though, I have long legs for my body so I actually don’t usually need to have the length taken up. My legs are about 34” long and my inseam to the floor is 30” which is good for pants but then every top is too long haha. The tailor is truly my best friend and even now I still need to have about 50% of my wardrobe tailored but I space it out and make it work until it’s perfect. Also, for tops I have better luck with tighter cuts and materials than I do with oversized. If it’s oversized to begin with then it will likely be huge on me. I hope that helps 🤗
@@AudreyCoyne your new hairstyle adds so much energy to your look! bravo! I really like the preppy wardrobe in this video. I had no idea you are 5'3" :o! Your long legs make you look much taller. What would you recommend people do who don't have your proportion? Thank you for sharing. Peace & Blessings.
I know a lot of fashion youtubers think they have to constantly update their wardrobe and buy new items for their videos but I love that you rewear the same pieces in different ways! It’s amazing how your style has changed even with just a few tweaks. Thanks for the inspiration and for setting a great example to us all :)
I agree. I've been watching Audrey's videos since the very beginning (I think I first discovered her channel in late 2016), and even though her style has changed a lot since then, she's been able to evolve her fashion without buying a completely new wardrobe.
I love the notion of just dressing for ourselves and not trying to hide or moderate our bodies' shapes and proportions. I'm gonna stop doing that. Thanks Audrey.
Turning 65 next year and finding I am more adventurous in my style now that I am retired. Not worrying about image, professionalism etc. has released me to dress more colorfully and embrace my boho artsy self. Frida Kahlo and Joni Mitchell inspire bold femininity. My style is thus very different from yours but I love and learn from all your videos. Recently added a dreamy Cheaney jodphur boot to my wardrobe thanks to you.
Audrey when you fall in love with your own style it gives us all license to do the same. It is like listening to a friend describe how she met her husband or how she she found her own voice. You are truly understated and truly powerful at the same time... in my opinion what every woman can and should be! Fan for life.
That's so true. Personal style changes as you mature. you are more aware about yourself and less apologetic. Hence a periodic evaluation of your personal style is necessary.
I looooove stereotypical dressing! My friend goes on picnic with a full milkmaid attire, at the beach with the worlds biggest fedora and to brunch like a Texan housewife. Such a Carrie Bradshaw look. I have been doing it more myself and I feel really brave, fun and it brings life to the streets.
I LOVE seeing people do that too. Haven’t been brave and creative enough to do it myself but reading your note just reminded me of how much I love this too, and I think I’ll add it to my list of ‘be more conscious of’ list for 2021 😁
I love how you took the same pieces and just restyled them to create something totally new. Just goes to show how you can breathe new life into your existing wardrobe without shopping. Amazing job!
Wow! I love how such minor tweaks can change the whole feel! Just a great example that I am trying to follow that you don’t have to buy all new things to make your style feel fresh!!!
I love your natural hair texture! It makes your overall look more dynamic and energised. I'm trying to encourage my natural hair texture more recently, and this reminds me of that it is worth the initial struggle!
Geez - I blink and you are over half a million subscribers....LOL...sooo love seeing you grow Angel....as a long time subscriber, I have seen your style, presentation and persona evolve softly and elegantly into such a style icon.....love all the new pieces you have been acquiring this year....they are so you and were worth the wait as you developed your palette, style and finally began acquiring true working, investment pieces....always a beautiful girl....Merry Christmas sweetheart...
Thank you for this video! It is a demonstration that you don’t need to buy new clothes every 6 months, only to work on your style and to understand what suits you best. This has been a progressive revelation for me, following your channel these last years 😊
I am so glad that you are adding the burgundy/ reds into your wardrobe. You can see in the dress & coat swap out what a dramatic difference it make in your overall appearance. The overall look is more vibrant! Thank you for sharing!
Oh these videos are changing my life. I’m older, absolutely love classic tailored pieces and color palette, but feel so dated when I wear them. This video explains in detail just how to wear those pieces and colors in a much more youthful modern way. Thank you so much!
I'm getting into a place where I can clearly see I'm not able to shop at stores I used to, because when I see something I like and ask some of the questions you've taught me ▪️Can I see myself wearing this in the next few years or so? ▪️Does it represent my personal style? ▪️Is it made in the way that will stand the test of time?' I went from structured fit and flair dresses to soft brands like Chaus and Chaps and I find that it’s so comfortable for me as a busy mom of 6 and I still look well put together. I keep it simple with 10 outfits, mostly solids to accessorize with scarfs or layers. Love your videos!
Audrey thank you for putting these videos together. You provide a very good distraction from what is going on in the world and do it in such a calm and soothing way. Keep up the beautiful work!
Such a helpful video to get me to switch out my looks! Love the green touches (I've been using greens a lot more lately), and that burgundy coat really wows instead of the oversized Curated coat
Audrey, I just love the way you present your videos, your voice, your cheerful enthusiasm and your positivity. Thank you so much for being so joyful! Being 5’3” I am a keen follower and appreciate learning a little every time you post. ❤️
This is one of my favorite videos that you have made! I appreciate all, but seeing how you continue to wear pieces that you have had for a long time with small tweaks to make them evolve with your style is wonderful. You have such an elegant style and demeanor! Thank you for your inspiration!
The cable sweater and the plaid shirt appeals to me because my neck is short and I never wear turtlenecks. You have that long neck that looks so great with tons. Love that red coat and how you've styled it with the leopard shoes. Great video.
Thank you Audrey for showing and explaining your style evolution. Investing in good quality basics is always a wise choice. BTW I am really enjoying the green touches you’ve added.
This has to be my favorite video of 2020! I love watching your style journey and how you would restyle the same pieces. It inspires me to do the same with my wardrobe. As always, your content is so high quality and excellent.

Hi Audrey☺️ Thank you for your authenticity, kindness and love. I have been watching for a couple months and enjoy being a part of your community. I appreciate your videos deeply. It feels like opening a special gift when I watch them. They are a delight! PS like many others have mentioned - your voice is absolutely beautiful. I love how you have your own style while encouraging others to style their clothes in their own way😍. I may not like all your styles on myself but I learn alot about : how to find quality, proportion, fit and clothing care. Its fun to see how you've changed. Thank you Audrey 😍.
You always put high quality work into your videos and it shows. I appreciate how instructive they are and I only wish I had seen them years ago...or at least before being locked down. I am grateful for good health in the meantime and look forward to emerging a better version of myself soon!
The style journey I have been on in the last few years has recalled how my mother and grandmother carefully selected items to last and enjoy, yet able to mix with changes such as trends to suit their style, color, etc. Additionally, while my style in some areas might be similar, I have curated slowly to reflect who I am especially in my faith journey. Green (blue undertones) and plum have been my favorites lately. I am a soft cool tone with silver hair, so these in medium value seem to work. Thanks for sharing your journey!
Thank you for sharing your style journey with us, Audrey. I have recently realized that having a capsule wardrobe of classic pieces can fall a little flat if each piece doesn't represent who you are inside. I want each piece to represent who I am, so, the next step in my journey came to me when I saw your video on the Kibbe body types. I am so excited!!!! I have been texting back and forth with Elyssa...and will set up a consultation with her after the first of the year...So FUN.. cant wait!!!
Hola Audrey. .. the most benefited with your youtube channel is you.. you are constantly looking for new style and trends... that way you are curing your own taste more and more sophisticated .. I review your videos from 5 years ago and you were really another girl. Good for you ★★★★★ ♥♥♥♥♥
What a fantastic video to show how to use what you have and make it speak to who you are. Thank you for sharing your journey; it keeps getting better! :)
You make an important point that is easily forgotten. When a color we love that is flattering to us trends again, like the pine green, we need to purchase in the moment, knowing it won't be available for long. In fact, these 90s cool colors like mauve, burgundy and pine green look so beautiful and high end to me. I just bought pine and mauve sweaters and a burgundy fur cropped jacket. I am continuing the search to add more pieces while I can. Great video!
@@brittany3559 kohl's online, I think its their sonoma good for life series. There are a number of styles in lots of different colors. Gorgeous cotton sweaters for the peice
Audrey, this was tremendous! 👏 Your last restyled outfit ROCKED. Thank you for taking the time to create great content 💕 Because of you and several other UA-camrs like Aly Art, Frani, and Dearly Bethany, I have begun my personal style journey, though I will say I am still in the research part of it, BUT I think I am finally ready to bite the bullet and start experimenting with new pieces. Again, thank you for all you do!
I think our style will be for ever evolving and thank God! otherwise we would stop watching fashion videos. I really like that you are using pieces you have in your closet for a long time and showing how you can adapt to change with a few tweaks and a few new purchases. I do that a lot, I like to stroll through Instagram and pick up some ideas from my favourite "fashionistas" that I can reproduce with what I have. Sometimes it is only mixing pieces in a way that I had not thought about!!!
Such an interesting video Audrey, thank you! That red coat looks so chic and sharp on you, you really should wear red more often! Although my style does evolve, there are some standards I’ve never changed, and one of them is wearing some red to add a pop of colour. I love red winter coats as a contrast to the mostly black seen everywhere, it feels cheery yet sophisticated. And red shoes have been a staple in my wardrobe since I was in my 20s and I’m 65 now!
I loved this! I am just starting out on my style journey and one thing I've found I really like is v-necks. For many years I wore oversized on oversized, and although it felt comfortable and familiar, I now want to look more grown up and sophisticated having recently graduated university. V-necks do wonders for making me look taller, and accentuate my kibbe romantic body type (which I've been too shy to embrace until now!).
Ok I finished watching and I so enjoyed this! I gasped at the navy/white belt combo, lol! So chic! To answer your question about our own style journeys, I’m trying to work toward achieving a style that flows across the various parts of my life. I used to think of style moslty for work looks, as my time at home was often spent in just jeans and ill fitting t-shirts (t shirts are my nemesis) because off time was filled with playing with the kids, parks, chores, errands and cooking. And my style changed based on where I worked. I was always drawn to corporate office looks, nice suits and dresses, and I embraced that for a while at my current job. But I see now that this look isn’t always flattering on me. It is sometimes aging, or just doesn’t do much for me. I see this in hindsight through pictures. The pandemic has really helped me rethink how I put outfits together so that I feel professional on camera, but not overdressed if I’m making lunch or dashing out to the grocery store. I started working from home in March and decided to keep wearing some of my favorite work pieces - I thought I have nice things, I want to keep wearing them! Watching your channel has also inspired me to relook at accessories I had forgotten about: scarves, necklaces, rings. So this week for example I wore a white tee (proper fit!), black cardigan and a pearl necklace I had all but forgotten about. The necklace changed the whole outfit. I I wore the same tee under a denim shirt with a silk scarf another day, which was both work and home appropriate. Your channel is a major inspiration for me, so thank you Audrey!
You are ridiculously good at coming at with new video ideas that are just spot on! I have never thought about this before - I think we are conditioned to think that if our style changes we need to go out and buy lots of new things to fit this new style, but actually, even if we have the exact same clothes, we can have a totally different style. I sometimes felt embarrassed that I still had pieces in my wardrobe that are 5+ years old because it would mean I still had the same style as 5 years ago, but this is totally not the case. Brilliant video xxxx
Audrey! This was just all so interesting! What is the brand of the red coat? I’m searching for it!!! How do you feel about the oversized coat now? I do prefer the fitted look on you ❤️
I love following your journey (and riding on your shirt-tails)! Thanks for not shaming your personal style in the past. It's growth and, like you said, organic evolution;).
I loved this video. I’m still somewhat early on my style journey so, I’m wearing lots of neutrals and enjoying that. Lately I’ve started to play with more bold jewelry. Everything I have is very dainty and barely there. Still gorgeous but not very noticeable. I got a pair of chunky twisted hoops (kinda like the Celine ones) and I’ve been loving wearing them. It’s crazy how such a small accessory can change my look so much. When I put them on I feel more put together and edgy and it’s crazy how they brighten my face and make me look better even when wearing little make up.
Those printed pumps!! That outfit - gorgeous. I'm struggling to figure out how my style has changed, but you have really helped me to examine all my items of clothes and to curate my wardrobe to get it to the essence of me.
I love to see how things evolve and how you share your process Audrey. Little adjustments can make such a difference. Also I love the way your present you and what you wear, in such grace and stillness. The way some strike poses and the music they add really hurts at times. So beautiful to feel the simplicity and love for details with your sharings.
It is so inspiring to see someone embrace change!! Its surprising how people around me sometimes react negatively to changes in style, like I somehow betrayed some image that I'm 'supposed' to look like. "That's not like you, you wouldn't have worn that a few year ago." They forget that change is natural and organic and as your life changes and you grow as a person, so will your wardrobe to suit you better. Really enjoyed this one :)
I am loving the green clutch with the red coat -- and the shape of the cat eye sunglasses with the pumps just knocks it out of the park. So sharp & creative! I love how you are "shopping your closet" by changing structures and shapes.
Audrey, this is the Best video of yours I've seen. I mean it is just great! Loved every outfit. The scarf looked really nice. And the jackets. Loved it all!
This is such a great video! It’s so interesting and inspiring to see how you restyle outfits, and goes to show how much of a difference subtle detail makes.
I'm kindof like Princess Anne- my style hasn't really changed since the late 70's :) Knee length skirts which are tweed and wool in winter, good blazers, mid heel boots, lacy neck or silk blouses, loafers both flat and heeled. Suede jackets in the country, mid and full length trench in town. Oddly, I wear skater dresses in the garden, actually have an orange floral on right now with a longer fisherman sweater, blue tights and ankle boots. It's like Jekyll and Hyde- boho and classic!
Your practical examples of restyling an outfit were very helpful and inspirational for me. I have always been a classic piece shopper but I find that I have a hard time reimagining garments in any other way than how I initially styled them when they were new. This has given me an extensive wardrobe of pieces that I don't know how to wear simply because my style has evolved a little bit. I stand in my closet not knowing what to wear while also realizing I don't need to buy anything. Please make more videos like this!!!!!!
I love this idea of looking back and recreating outfits. I take OOTD pictures and keep them on my phone to refer back to, which is very helpful especially on those "I have nothing to wear" days. I will take it a step further now and update outfits I wore in the past. It's a wonderful way to use what you have. Thanks for another inspiring video.
It is great seeing you gesticulate in your videos now. After hearing how you were holding back, it feels like we are seeing more of “you” with your natural movements. Great video idea. Thank you!
LOVE this video Audrey! So often, I'll part with an item from my wardrobe because I think it no longer represents me but love the idea of restyling the item instead. I'll definitely keep this in mind! Like yours, my style is evolving too where I'm looking for more colorful items to wear and more of an architectural vibe with more structured pieces.
I'd love to see a video reacting to your outfits from the very beginning of your channel (around 2016 / early 2017). I feel like your style has really changed a lot since then, and it'd be interesting to see how you would restyle some of those outfits.
That burgundy coat, slimmer cut and not too dark is perfect for you! Dont go super dark with your burgundies so they read nearly black, is my preference for you. That is YOUR shade!
I am so grateful to have found you. Your voice is soothing and all you share with us is invaluable. I do appreciate your giving us your time. God Bless
I loved watching your video! I just turned 67, am retired and now live out in farm country in Vermont. When we first moved to Vermont I changed my style completely from classic to very country casual and some times very, very country casual. I guess I wanted to fit in and the environment and weather were very different from where I lived on Cape Cod. I’m now working on getting my style back, a style that is me. Thank you for all your wonderful videos they have been so helpful. ❤️
❤️ I don't use this word often, but- wow the updates are so sophisticated. I spent my twenties on the East coast trying to get people to take me seriously. I love a tailored, streamline look so I wore a lot of tailored business clothes. I had almost nothing "fun" and sometimes felt chic, but other times felt like a wet blanket. Since I haven't been working in an office this past year, I've really leaned into my "fun" pieces. Print, vibrant color, playing more with proportion- basically nothing is off limits and now I'm trying to find a balance. Thanks for sharing your edits, it really helps me get a fresh perspective!
I love the update you made to the fisherman's sweater. I love black but have been really drawn to light neutrals and it blends what I like about the light neutrals with darker colors that feel true to my style. Thank you also for the inspiration on how to do more with what you have already. I always look forward to your videos.
Hi Audrey, I really love the way you discuss and point out details and proportion in each outfit. So often it's only when we try pieces on together that we know if the outfit 'works' for us or not. As for specific pieces: that green beret is so flattering - any tips as to similar ones available now? Also, are there any online second-hand shops besides Vestiaire you recommend for jackets and blazers? Thank you for this video and for your lovely channel.
Oh yes, those are good too. The Outnet isn't secondhand of course, but in fact I bought my most-worn winter coat from there a couple of years ago. Great quality at a good price.
I also really love Poshmark for 2nd hand beautiful pieces. I have purchased many Doen and Sezane items from Poshmark for my capsule wardrobe and have never had a negative experience. 😁 I know Audrey has quite a few Doen pieces in her wardrobe. As for jackets and coats in specific, Poshmark does have a HUGE selection of gorgeous items....I just bought a light creme coat for winter and it's great quality

Thank you for taking the time to create great content 💕
Because of you and several other UA-camrs like Aly Art, Frani, and Dearly Bethany, I have begun my personal style journey, though I will say I am still in the research part of it, BUT I think I am finally ready to bite the bullet and start experimenting with new pieces.
EVERYTHING looks better with a jacket (even in the Summer, with linen blazers).
I loved this! I am just starting out on my style journey and one thing I've found I really like is v-necks. For many years I wore oversized on oversized, and although it felt comfortable and familiar, I now want to look more grown up and sophisticated having recently graduated university. V-necks do wonders for making me look taller, and accentuate my kibbe romantic body type (which I've been too shy to embrace until now!).
i love the Irish inspired get-up. It's soo cute!
Must be my favourite video of yours and the favourite outfits as well. I literally wowed at your styling transformations. Just fabulous!
Style changes with us :) thanks for showing that 🥰
Its always so fun to look back and see how we change.
I love that you embrace your natural hair
Really loving how you've been able to break down the details of how your tastes have changed. It also looks like you've found an amazing hair routine!
It's so lovely to see how your style has changed and to see how you would restyle something you wore in the past. Such an interesting video
Burgundy looks fabulous on you!
What a great video concept! I'm loving the colors you've added to your wardrobe (and how happy you are with them!)
I would love to see how you choose your bags to accentuate / accommodate your outfits!
I'm loving your evolution and your explanations are excellent. Thank you!
Old Navy just got a beautiful pine green cardigan..I bought one yesterday..it is beautiful.
that red coat is stunning!!!!
You always look fantastic Audrey and, unbelievably, were able to improve on all your great looks! Very well done.
I love your videos. You are so calming, elegant, and inspiring. Thank you Audrey! Happy holidays ❤️
Oh... Your style updates are sooooo gooood! It seems like there's just more edge than there used to be.
Audrey, thank you. Your fashion tips and I love your soothing but impacting voice. 😊
Audrey, I am enjoying your style evolution.
Try RealReal and Outnet, they are very good outlet on line stores (there is no space in between the words)
Oh yes, I have heard of this. Looks like it's only for US and Canada, but I think many people watching are based there.
@@737700flygirl Oh no! Sorry, I didn't realize they were only available to US and Canada. 😭
Would love a video on your short torso and how you style around it (to hide or enhance).
Me too.
As a member of the short torso club, that would be great.
I love your channel! I’m also 5’3” and small framed. It’s feels fresh to always be evolving into your own style. I’m inspired by your videos
Great video. I love how you restyled all these pieces. 💜
I love the cover photo with the burgundy coat--you look so sophisticated and love the curly hair!!
