3:22 this wasn't the F-22 and I don't mean that in the copyright joke meaning some think it's the J-20, chinese design (totally not stolen F-22 design then Frankensteined) but its not 100% identical. the exhaust, intake and 'skin' look like F-22 the shape like the J-20 so this is a Frankenstein mashup of both.
@Sebastian Larrosa took a quick look at what you said and I can instantly say *NO* the shape doesn't match, there's a good meter between the canard wing and the "main wing" for the VX-23 in-game where on your NATF-23 there is no space between them. or at least nothing I found about it match, cool planes design tho. @JohnnyBoythePilot I don't see much MIG 1.44 in the J-20 the delta wings on the mig are much more pronounced and straight the canard wings have *nothing* in common, same for the aerodynamic profile, the mig is shorter too. @HaveBlu i dont think so. my last theory is that it's an F-22 BUT slightly lengthened, the horizontal tails wings removed then added as canard-wing (baby-wings) and the main wings pulled toward the rear and *VOILA*
You know I always wonder, how did the ace combat dev’s react to this game, I bet they were proud of what their fans could do, sadly i could not find anywhere where they left a comment about the game
I guess it would be nice to have coop on the conquest mode. It would add a whole new deal for the game. Ace Combat Infinity and even the old HAWX were pretty fun and interesting to play due to coop.
Honestly how well the mouse and keyboard controls work for you depends on how you set them up. AC7 I absolutely wanted the controller for, but Project Wingman I actually found to be a LOT easier to control with mouse and keyboard, but I put some effort into setting keybinds and such up correctly since initially, both keyboard AND controller felt really, really jank to use.
If you play War Thunder on mouse and keyboard, Project Wingman feels right up your alley. In fact it's easier to use the gun at times because you can lead shots with the mouse.
_Ace Combat 7_ is a pretty awesome deal, actually... I got the Deluxe Edition on sale for $30 bucks and the campaign alone made it worth every single penny, and then some. Admittedly, I have been starved for flying combat games for like 15 years now; the last big flying game I ever bought before AC7 was _Heroes of the Pacific_ (awesome game that no one has ever heard of) on the original Xbox back in like... 2006, so I fell in love with it partly for just being a flying game and not an FPS. But it is still an awesome game on it's own that I'm having trouble putting down. It's too bad Project Wingman is only on PC, or else I would totally buy it. Thankfully _Ace Combat 7_ remains entertaining even after 1,000+ sorties in the campaign.
I’ve recently been looking to get more into flight sims/ arcade flight combat after getting a computer that’s not a potato. I’d heard of Ace combat obviously but hadn’t heard of project wingman until today and holy shit that looks amazing. And the conquest mode honestly seems really cool to me
0:30 Well I am looking for an InDepth Fun Plane Game and I think this is worthy, All thanks to Sensible and detailed physics which shouldn't be that hard to make 🤷♂️
AC7 got rid of the deluxe edition and season pass to jack up the price and continue selling the game at $60 with pointless Top Gun DLC So here I am looking to buy something that isn't a money pit cash grab :)
As for M/KB...yes, it works just fine. The auto leveling is difficult due to the nature of the way keyboards work, which can make your plane wobble a lot in tight turns, but otherwise, M/KB is just fine, but controller and HOTAS setups are going to be superior, that's just a fact. But if you don't have one of those, you're fine with a M/KB
One thing Project Wingman also have over Ace Combat, no stupid proprietary drm bullshit. Seriously, I avoid such games like the plague so this one is quite welcome.

@@MarvinT0606 they made it optional. You can fly into 3 tunnels in one of the night missions
Anything that makes me feel like an anime jet fighter pilot is right up my damn alley. God bless ace combat and the people who made this game.
What sells these games to me is the hollywoodian vibes, not the anime stuff. But I agree with you, all my gratitude to Kono and Keiki, and the PW developers.
Wow, a main channel upload!
Who are you. Why is this review so good. Either way, you sold me on this game. Thanks
I hadn't heard anything about this game because I don't read forums. As a big ace combat fan (which is what brought me to your channel) thanks for telling me exists! I know what I'm spending that steam gift card my wife always gets me for Christmas on.
Not Cyberpunk 2077. As she only ever gets me a $25 gift card. Because we're poor.
Better poor than rich, cuz if you were rich she'd leave with half instead of buying you games
@@jeanpaulgartier3404 Not this one. If I was rich we'd spend all our time doing romantic shit like taking long walks through Provencal villiages that tourists don't usually visit and sitting in cafes sipping rose wine. But we're poor so we mostly just drink box wine and play stardew.
you will love Project Wingman. It is harder then AC but you will enjoy the hardness. You will be the campaign, then you will play it again.
@@vexingrabbit1824 I'm looking forward to it! The fact that it's harder is a good thing. AC is comfortably easy even on harder difficulties, but I don't mind that. I look forward to the challenge.
Well. PW is 100% playable and made by fans of AC. That's is really great
About mission timers: Besides the awful plot for ACE standards, the extremely short mission timers in AC7 made me hate the game.
I can't stand Ace 7's storyline. Wingman is better tbh.
@@Vespyr_
Yeah I'll have to disagree with you on the whole time limit thing. They suck. There are better ways to instill a sense of urgency. I'm glad they're not here.
And in turn alot of the missions in this game drag on to long
9:08
Donuts squadron sounds like something I should be part of
There's a squadron called Bad Dudes and it consists of 21 Mig-21s
@@yvroyya8051then comes a squadron of 4channers and anons (lead by a ACG-01 chimera based on /aceg/'s poll of chimera-ing 3 aircrafts.)
the ac7 remix of tango line is actually a banger though
Talking about ac inspired rogue lite without mentioning sky rogue. Smh...
"...but what they've managed to accomplish here is still pretty orange."
I'm getting too much amusement out of that line.
"Hawaii big"
Ok l lost my senses of controlling humor laugh lmao
And that scene when l played [Engagement not advised]
AC players;is that a challenge? Lol
3:22 this wasn't the F-22 and I don't mean that in the copyright joke meaning
some think it's the J-20, chinese design (totally not stolen F-22 design then Frankensteined) but its not 100% identical.
the exhaust, intake and 'skin' look like F-22 the shape like the J-20 so this is a Frankenstein mashup of both.
It really looks most like the FB-22 (proposed delta wing variant of the F-22) that they just slapped some canards on.
You could throw the MiG-1.44 in the mix as well for the J-20's inspiration.
its neither of those, its an NATF-23, a projected naval version of our beloved and superior ATF YF-23
@Sebastian Larrosa took a quick look at what you said and I can instantly say *NO* the shape doesn't
match, there's a good meter between the canard wing and the "main wing" for the VX-23 in-game
where on your NATF-23 there is no space between them.
or at least nothing I found about it match, cool planes design tho.
@JohnnyBoythePilot I don't see much MIG 1.44 in the J-20
the delta wings on the mig are much more pronounced and straight
the canard wings have *nothing* in common, same for the aerodynamic profile, the mig is shorter too.
@HaveBlu i dont think so.
my last theory is that it's an F-22 BUT slightly lengthened, the horizontal tails wings removed then added as canard-wing (baby-wings) and the main wings pulled toward the rear and *VOILA*
@@pierre-andrelecomte9384 Yes, although I don't mean totally. The tails to me on both primarily look similar.
Wow, high praise with that rating huh? When I finally upgrade my computer I'll try wingman out
What is your pc right now?
I'm playing on intel graphics of a i-5 7th gen 4gb RAM. Just play enough with the video configs to not make it look like a PSX or N64 game
You know I always wonder, how did the ace combat dev’s react to this game, I bet they were proud of what their fans could do, sadly i could not find anywhere where they left a comment about the game
Assassin 1 here, glad you enjoyed the game!
1:00 you take that the fuck back about the best goddamn controller to grace this planet
Finally! The only Project Wingman review that counts.
8:35 it is inevitable for anyone who plays Conquest
I guess it would be nice to have coop on the conquest mode. It would add a whole new deal for the game. Ace Combat Infinity and even the old HAWX were pretty fun and interesting to play due to coop.
2:30 But...I loved Tango Line...
Such a classic AC song!
So ace7 is your first AceCombat game ?
@@mrandrossguy9871 Yup.
It’s on Xbox now. Play it.
@@Betrix5060 I can't. It crashes my console on Mission 9. Waiting for a patch.
I’ve recently been looking to get more into flight sims/ arcade flight combat after getting a computer that’s not a potato. I’d heard of Ace combat obviously but hadn’t heard of project wingman until today and holy shit that looks amazing. And the conquest mode honestly seems really cool to me
0:30 Well I am looking for an InDepth Fun Plane Game and I think this is worthy, All thanks to Sensible and detailed physics which shouldn't be that hard to make 🤷♂️
The one thing I'm excited to see is the "very accurate lore recap" for this game. I think it would be funny as hell
3:03 “It’s subtle.” Oh man I’m dying 😂😂😂
AC7 got rid of the deluxe edition and season pass to jack up the price and continue selling the game at $60 with pointless Top Gun DLC
So here I am looking to buy something that isn't a money pit cash grab :)
8:50 What you meant to say was "if you're looking for ace combat but orange"
Most enjoyable air combat game after Ace Combat 6, man it is a blast!
YAY! I didn't have to wait hundreds of days like poor Lochlan
First time I heard the game used "AC" as the year indicator, I was like: "Oh so they went full Gundam Wing up in here"
9:20
...not even joking they did that in the last update
2:29
*Insults AC4 Tangoline*
Me: So you've chosen death.....
This game might just be what gets me to buy a gaming PC
Let’s be honest, half of us would have gone to his house with stakes and pitchforks if he didn’t mention our favorite WSO waifu.
One thing Project Wingman also have over Ace Combat, no stupid proprietary drm bullshit.
Seriously, I avoid such games like the plague so this one is quite welcome.
Just got it on sale on steam its so fun!! THE VIOLIN MUSIC IS SO GOOD AND TOO SHORT D: as a huge ace combat fan this helps the wait for 8 now!
0:54 me, who only has a laptop with wireless USB mouse, and still beat the game on mercenary, in one of the normal (non-prototype) planes, while also sinking the federation battlegroup in the "fall of presidia" mission, and chased off Crimson squadron in "machine of the mantle": *BRUH*
Finally oboe
Dude this game's combat is so great and god damn the keyboard and mouse control is soooooooo fucking good, one plane in particular is only playable with mouse and keyboard (PW MK1)
I LOVE your reviews, not just for the humor but for the fact it features games that go over most heads. Much more interesting than just another one on a game where there's an ocean full of videos to choose from.
