- In this video, we bring you a review of the Master Tool CUB manual leather sewing machine from Weaver Leather Supply. Perfect for those who want a hands-on approach to leather crafting, this machine offers a simple and straightforward design, making it user-friendly for beginners. With its drop-down guide feature that holds your material in place, you'll be able to sew straight lines with ease. The build quality of this machine is exceptional, with a solid metal frame and durable construction, ensuring it will last for years. Plus, its portability makes it a great option for those who travel or have limited workshop space. As a mechanical machine, it's easy to work on and maintain, and comes with all the tools you need to keep it in top condition. Nice setup
Thanks, I'm thinking about it.
Good review. I recently got one and it's a game changer sewing knife sheaths. Fortunately my thread tension was spot on right out of the box using 8-9oz leather. It does take a big of forethought to get a couple of lock stitches, you just need to spin the piece. I can do in minutes what used to take me hours. It does cost more than other hand operated machines but well worth it for the quality and simplicity.
Every video on the Cub always shows only sewing on flat pieces of leather. How does it do with bags or three dimensional leather products?
Also, when you say it doesn’t sew easily with thinner leathers, what oz are you talking about?
Genuinely appreciate this review. I have not gotten anything beyond just hand tools. I'm not ready for a sewing machine, want to get clicker press and hand press for rivets first. I'm nervous about sewing machines because they seem so easy to mess up because it is fast. This is why I thought about hand operated. Cost will be an issue probably because I'm cheap, but I think this still looks like a good option.
Cuál es el precio de esa makina
Watch weavers video on how to do the back stitch basically you pivot your peice when the needle is just barely in the peice!
Love this honest review! Thanks for sharing.

That is the Keith Richards of sewing machines, made to last and pretty well indestructible
Here's the thing, not everyone is sewing thick leather. None of the videos show thinner pieces of leather being sewn together. I would like to see two pieces of 3 oz pieces of leather sewn together before I spend two grand on something I may not be able to use.
You can backstitch you just don't know how
Trying to listen to someone converse in questions is so annoying I couldn't listen to the whole video.
I had one of these machines. It was ok for very light leather. Basically a piece of junk. Its worse than the chinese shoe patchers. I ditched it and got the cowboy 4500, a dream machine.
ой, как много он говорит
Sewing machines are like welding machines..
