Chris next time to remove wax/buffing compound buildup use a narrow body filler spatula. Result will be the same but you eliminate possibility of scratching off paint, FYI.
Chris, if you are putting a car back together from a 'full blow apart' repaint resto, where do you start the bodyline alignement? I'm assuming the doors, but as you could see from my slobra, it could used some lovin'. The fenders have never been off my car, but you saw the lines... Even though most of the terminator royalty folks say that our cars were probably jacked from the factory.
OK, that's a really good tip about how to adjust the fender to door panel gap, but my question is, what retains the bottom portion of the fender and keeps it from flopping around? Original owner '91 5.0 convertible. You would think after all these years I'd know, but the car has been cared about for a long time and I've never wrecked it, so I've never really looked. Thanks. Bill in Oregon.
Do you have an in depth tutorial on convertible door alignments? My fox had really bad sealing and something’s telling me that the seals and windows are bad
In your intro around :57 on the red notch you've got a front lower lip. What kind is that? I couldn't tell if it's a Mach 1 lip or something else. Thanks! Good work!
Im going to watch this for sure but my doors are not hitting the fender. Instead they are hitting the quarter panel when opening and closing the doors. Also it's not a Fox but an SN95. Would new hinges and a pin/bushing kit fix my issue in your opinion?
@@TheInfamousProject thank you very much my man. Will be looking at doing that this weekend. I subscribed after watching and hope to one day find a descent enough fox up here in northern Michigan..aka rust city.
Is the latch mechanism itself well lubricated? Otherwise you're gonna have to adjust the position of the striker little by little until you get it right
@@TheInfamousProject Fair enough. I'm too anxious and want everything fixed right now. Car can't even idle properly and im worried about the way it looks lol
Great fender alignment tip. Those snipers are sick looking! Thanks 😃

Hey Bill there is another 5/16 bolt under the inner fender plastic at the bottom which keeps it in place down there!
Thank you.
As usual very informative. Thanks for putting this out!

You may need to adjust the hinges and move the door forward a tad..remove the inner fender and you'll have access to the main bolts

Anyone here know where to find 89 lx hatchback splash guards/wheel well liners? Thanks
Do any one know how to adjust your hatchback striker to close without slamming the door? I already changed the striker but can't get it to close!!

Just bought an 88 hatchback and the whole car has gaps all over. Literally nothing is flush and I have no idea how to go about that.
One gap at a time!
