^ agreed, if anything learn attack move. A lot of high elo players use this and you can become a kiting pro. Would also mention to enable the attack enemy near cursor option in the game tab
There is no reason not to use attack move. Especially, combined with "target only champions". Because pixel hunting just with a cursor is never fun. I'm so used to it I almost never attack by right-clicking. Also, I really can't play without colourblind mode even though I'm not colourblind. If default was the only way to play the game, I probably wouldn't play it.

My keys go up when I have conversations with my teammates actually lol. Once had a game where I talked to my mid laner about their relationship problems midgame. Still won even with the typing
I kind of wish they would just add "area is warded" ping to the quick-ping wheel (alt-mouse drag) somehow. The fact that it's not bounded to anything by default makes it feel like a forgotten feature. or maybe let us customize our own ping wheel (like we can customize our emote wheel).
Instead of just turning off quick cast on wards, just use the “replace smart cast with smart cast with indicator” option. This allows you to still see the exact range and still not have the delay on warding quickly. Same thing with various abilities. Simply hold the key to see the ranges and release it to cast. Movement input cancels it, and allows you to have the speed of the quick cast but the range indicator of normal cast. Its a brilliant setting tbh.
This is indeed super useful, but be careful that it may not play very nice with burst/combo champions. The skill goes off when you take your finger OFF the key, rather than when you press it, so they is a small delay. This delay is usually negligible, but if you try to do something like LeBlanc WQRE, you will often find an ability is skipped. Same goes for a lot of animation-cancelling mechanics, which usually rely on split-second timing. For example, apparently it's almost impossible to do Riven's fast combo with this setting enabled. Finally, you may have minor trouble with targeted abilities on moving targets. You will often find the target has already moved out of your cursor in the split second you take to activate the skill (pressing a key AND lifting your finger) and the skill doesn't go off. Personally I've had this happen the most while trying to spam E as Cassiopeia. Getting in the habit of quickly tapping your keys mostly fixes this problem and alleviates above issues as well. So this setting is a godsend for skillshot champs like Ezreal or Lux, but if you main burst assassins or combo-reliant champs, you may want to just learn the crap out of their range and use regular quick cast.
@Kama & Kunai Yes there is a delay. Ideally you would just know the skill range of your champ so well that you can just use normal quick cast. This option is a compromise. You sacrifice a little bit of speed for better aiming.
@@InkWavve You have a good point. I, personally, have never had a problem with going between snapping quickly and holding down for the range. I'm actually almost certain that some abilities (such as Veigar ult) go off on press if the enemy is within range, but I'm not certain. I've never had a problem with a Riven fast combo or a Talon burst combo, for example. I believe that's because of the setting treating some abilities different from others, but again I'm not sure. I may just have adapted to it. I wouldn't know how to test that either, as it generally happens so quickly I don't notice anyway. I think simply practicing with the setting turned on fixes every issue you may encounter, as you suggested. It may be odd at first, but it's definitely worth using, especially if you go from bursty champs to skillshot champs like I do. BUT it is a valid concern for things like assassins and other such burst champs. Now, it's worth mentioning that charged abilities are really rough with the setting. Or with quick cast in general. Varus, Pyke, and Sion Q's I turn off quick cast entirely, and things like Vlad E are similar. Without quick cast, they begin their charge on first press, and cast on the second. They don't play well with quick cast most of the time. Ultimately, though, it's up to the player to decide what they're most comfortable with. It's a good idea to let people be informed of every option and setting available to them. This is one I don't see many people talk about very often, so it's nice to hear another opinion on the matter.

quick tip for those who want to try out attack move and struggle with using it on their A-key: Put attack move onto R and your ultimate ability onto T. I have seen this years ago and although it was a huge deal to get used to it, i would never want to play differently again. Especially if youre an adc player, this will help you kiting and using important abilities like Varus Q, Kindred Q or Lucian Q at the same time. On most champs you use the Q much more frequently than the R, especially mid-fight. And your index finger is better suited for intense kiting. But you will have to get used to this and mess up your ult for weeks. For my part, it was totally worth the struggle!
Little do you know I am a master of ping lag no one ever played like me oh 1800ms ping Ever! Even my friends wonder how I got gold with it xD its just getting used to it is easier than tilting
one thing i would add that has definitely helped me not tilt/concentrate in the game is turn off all sound that you do not really need to hear. I know that hearing the announcer say "enemy double kill" every minute does nothing but tilt me. Really the only sounds you need is abillity sounds if that helps your timing for combos and stuff but I even keep that off now. I literally have zero sound in my games now and it has definitely helped me focus and keep a healthy mentality.
General tips I give is: - Learn to last hit and aim to have around 7-8 cs/minute in platinum or below, then look towards 10+ cs/minute in diamond and up. Cs is how you make most of ur gold, so even a 10 cs lead over ur enely laner means you could have a 250-400 gold item more than them. - Everyone says this but make sure to ward and buy pink (nowadays called red) wards. That 75 gold investment nearly always pays off as it can save you from a gank, which will likely cause you to miss a whole wave or more of cs that is way more than the 75 gold you spend on the ward. -Last thing I would say is to prioritize objectives over getting kills. People (including myself) can get kill hungry and chase a player for so long to kill them that I could get in a situation where I get ambushed and just die chasing kills. Meanwhile I could have pushed a wave and maybe got a tower or Drake, which has a bigger effect on the outcome of the game than one kill. So to summarize: objectives win you games, not kills.
@@Egolithz good explanation Thanks P.s Always try to split push (doesnt matter if ur behind/even ) and if the send 2 out of theyr 5 man, just go for the biggest objeftive on the oposite of the lane u r pushing -> if u push top, tell u team to get drake, same with bot and baron. Minimap scale can be increased more if you go to setting files. In riotgames/leagueoflegends/game/config/persistedsetting.json Find minimapscale and change the value to 2.5000 and you can actually set it at any value. Increasing the value of course will jncrease the size. Idk if this works for other server besides garena because our game directory a bit different.

As a challenger myself I do these all, except for the turning off of emotes.. man.. emotes are so much useful when it comes to mind games.. I use it to tilt my opponents or to annoy them leading them to pounce onto me just because they’re mad disregarding the possibility of my jungler to gank.. making them take more deaths.
I also use it to taunt my opponents and annoy them if they miss their skillshots or cs, they’ll be more focused on their cs without realizing I’m already rotating to push and destroy other lanes with my teammates.

Great video. I was looking for one to show others to save me the trouble of repeating myself when asked about optimal client settings. This one actually highlights many of the things I recommend with a few extras. One thing I wanted to add to this. I have trouble with vision, so I made the mini map even bigger than what the UI controls offer. In the PersistedSettings.json file, look for MinimapScale and change the value to something bigger. I use 2.5. Yeah, that's 250% of the default size, but it helps me a lot. I also change the "CursorScale" to "1". One thing to note here is, if you do make a change in the file and then adjust it again in the UI, the custom value is lost. Cheers!
@@aseryo5625 permanently locking the camera is not a good idea, learn to position your camera and focus on the movement, makes clicking on stuff easier rather than calculating camera movement as well. That's at least my opinion, tried both, but since I started Dota 1 back in the day, it's obvious that I'm used to not locking my camera, it didn't even have a 'follow' hero button, you had to double-tap F1 to select your hero and move the camera to that point, but didn't follow it like with locked camera. Dota 2 has that option wich is sometimes useful, but yeah, locked camera is mostly bad idea, you are limited to that part only. Imagine a free kill with your ult up on Caitlyn and not managing to get in camera range :P And you could've hit it from much further with unlocked camera :P

I also recommend you change your cooldowns into minutes and seconds for abilities as it’s easier to see how much time you have on things like ultimates - instead of seeing “oh I have 160 seconds on my karthus ult “ you can easily see “oh I have 1mins 40 secs, I can use it again in around 2mins” personal preference tho
Instead of turning off quick cast, go to the items setting and then scroll down to "Quick cast + Indicator" and then bind the keys. It will allow you to see the indicator, range, and allow you to be as quick yet as precise overall. I personally bound them accordingly after Shift. "Shift Q" would allow me to properly target and aim, knowing the range.

Seeing the emotes actually increases my enjoyment of the game and doesn't really cover up anything useful (most people don't emote that often in-game anyway), but sometimes it can be fun and a fast way to communicate. For example, if my jungler ganks my lane properly I just give him a 👍 emote instead of typing "gj" or something.

Turning off summoner names actually helped me a lot. Your brain is programmed to try and read everything and it spends some resources reading all those names for no reason. Turning off summoner names cleans up the area of useless info and helps make teamfights and abilities used much easier to read imo.
Ctrl + F turns on Ping and FPS. Make sure “Attack move on cursor” is enabled under Hotkeys->Player movement. This makes sure you attack the closest enemy to your CURSOR not your CHAMP. It helps with kiting. If a Garen is close and a jinx is behind him, you want to shoot thru Garen. This makes that possible.
lol i gota set the area warded ping i just been too cbf jeez forgot what the game looked like without color blind mode on it also helps for people who are learning new champions and get lost in a team fight the bright yellow is much easier too see during team fights and flashy animations. for shadows it does give a minor advantage if i recall under certain situations dont quote me on it but i do recall seing that being a minor thing that can benefit players. for fps, remove character inking/out lines it will save u 2-5fps, disabling hud animations also will further save you more. another tip is to change your timers on skills to seconds/minutes under tight situations and moments you are thinking hard out and need to quickly look seing minutes/seconds will be better cause thats how we read the time and get taught in school or atleast thats how i did and i grew used to

Very very useful video. I have my ult on T and my attack move on R, my items on 123 asd, my summs on F G and useful stuff on mouse, like "stop" and the thing to not autoattack turrets instead of enemies... And - obviously - open camera. When I started to play with these settings, it was very cancer, but now it's really really comfortable and I couldn't go back
4:46 the correct way to actually avoid the problem in this situation and be faster/cleaner overall, is to properly input buffer. In this case that would mean clicking the champ before flashing.
Would like to mention that if you can, turn vsync off and just cap your fps to your monitor's refresh rate. The reason to turn off vsync is that when it's on it causes input lag, which delays the time it takes when you press an ability key and the time that the ability actually goes off. This caused me huge issues as I was hovering in mid Gold when I've previously been in high Plat. I found that my vsync setting was enabled for some reason and turned that off and could feel the difference almost instantly.
Wow I've been teaching my friends and random people these settings for years first youtube video that actually explains how to master playing the game there are further steps like unlocking ur camera permanently and small other things but great stuff!
My friend asked me how some streamers have their Singe's poison color to blue and I said turn on color blind mode. He did it and started freaking me out and asked if I could see it. I said, no I don't have it on, hold up. Then I changed it for the kicks and giggles. Something about the yellow health appeals to me more than the green one. Haven't gone back since.
I cant say I agree with your advice regarding quickcast. what you should do is bind all of your skills, wards and items as quick cast and then bind the classic mode (the one with the range and target indicator) version to Shift + Key doing this means you can ward hop by using your trincket and still, just pressing shift + 4 will give you the indicator you want. especially useful for items as well, you do not want to miss an item active because of not clicking an opponent after pressing it. you can choose another key if that helps, but it MUST be a key than you can hold whenever needed. so I would recommend something you can hold with your pinky finger. also do not be affraid to change keys for anything you want. if you want to assign keys to items other than numbers go ahead. for example, X, C, V are pretty easy to reach and you can have your thumb resting over them, but that depends on preference as well. and finally, regarding the target only champions function. that is also something you probably should set to a holdeable key, most of the time you wont be missing your right clicks, and it is mainly situational. keeping track of which mode you are on in a fight could be difficult. so using hold function is probably the better idea. toggles are better for things that are obvious at immediate sight. like camera lock in. now, which key to use for that? thats a bit of a harder question, but never something that will take your fingers out of abilities.

This allows you to still see the exact range and still not have the delay on warding quickly. Same thing with various abilities. Simply hold the key to see the ranges and release it to cast. Movement input cancels it, and allows you to have the speed of the quick cast but the range indicator of normal cast.
Its a brilliant setting tbh.
this
Thanks bro really helps a lot
This is one I don't see many people talk about very often, so it's nice to hear another opinion on the matter.

quick tip for those who want to try out attack move and struggle with using it on their A-key:
Put attack move onto R and your ultimate ability onto T.
For my part, it was totally worth the struggle!

one thing i would add that has definitely helped me not tilt/concentrate in the game is turn off all sound that you do not really need to hear.
I literally had everything already done prior to this video but I'm still a potato ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
General tips I give is:
- Learn to last hit and aim to have around 7-8 cs/minute in platinum or below, then look towards 10+ cs/minute in diamond and up.
@@Egolithz good explanation Thanks
P.s Always try to split push (doesnt matter if ur behind/even ) and if the send 2 out of theyr 5 man, just go for the biggest objeftive on the oposite of the lane u r pushing -> if u push top, tell u team to get drake, same with bot and baron.

Cheers!
make chat box as small as possible so it doesn't distract you;
also the most important thing is to activate time stamps.

What about learning to play with locked and ulocked camera? What are the advantages? Disadvantages?
I want to play panthy but when i ulti it unlocks the camera and i cant fight bro

You could also bind the F1, F2, F3, F4 keys to ALT+Q, ALT+W, ALT+E, ALT+R. The "attack" move to SHIFT, and the self-cast to SHIFT+Q and so on. Those are my settings, sorry for my bad English, have a good day.
Knowing that minimap movement can be toggled off before would've saved me so many deaths

I said, no I don't have it on, hold up. Then I changed it for the kicks and giggles. Something about the yellow health appeals to me more than the green one. Haven't gone back since.
I cant say I agree with your advice regarding quickcast.
what you should do is bind all of your skills, wards and items as quick cast and then bind the classic mode (the one with the range and target indicator) version to Shift + Key
doing this means you can ward hop by using your trincket and still, just pressing shift + 4 will give you the indicator you want.
especially useful for items as well, you do not want to miss an item
active because of not clicking an opponent after pressing it.
you can choose another key if that helps, but it MUST be a key than you can hold whenever needed. so I would recommend something you can hold with your pinky finger.
also do not be affraid to change keys for anything you want. if you want to assign keys to items other than numbers go ahead. for example, X, C, V are pretty easy to reach and you can have your thumb resting over them, but that depends on preference as well.
and finally, regarding the target only champions function. that is also something you probably should set to a holdeable key, most of the time you wont be missing your right clicks, and it is mainly situational. keeping track of which mode you are on in a fight could be difficult. so using hold function is probably the better idea. toggles are better for things that are obvious at immediate sight. like camera lock in. now, which key to use for that? thats a bit of a harder question, but never something that will take your fingers out of abilities.
