****Q. Can we go solo on this trek?*******************************
While it is possible to trek to Everest Base Camp on your own, it is not recommended. The trek is challenging and takes place in a remote and mountainous area, where unexpected weather conditions, altitude sickness, and other risks can occur. Therefore, it is advisable to trek with a guide or join a group trek for safety and logistical support.
A trained and experienced guide can help navigate the trail and ensure that you stay safe, especially in case of any emergency. They also have the knowledge and experience to help you acclimatize to the altitude and manage any symptoms of altitude sickness that you may experience.
Moreover, being part of a group trek can also offer you the opportunity to meet other trekkers from different parts of the world, share your experiences, and create new friendships. It can also be cost-effective, as group treks usually provide meals, accommodations, and other logistical arrangements, which can be difficult to arrange on your own.
Therefore, while it is possible to trek to Everest Base Camp solo, it is not recommended. It is always better to trek with a guide or join a group trek to ensure safety and enjoy the experience to the fullest.
******************Budget*********************
The cost of the Everest Base Camp trek can vary depending on several factors, such as the time of year, the duration of the trek, the type of accommodation, and the level of service you choose. Here is a breakdown of some of the essential costs that you can expect during the trek:
1. Permits: You will need to obtain two permits to trek in the Everest region - Sagarmatha National Park Permit and TIMS (Trekkers' Information Management System) card. The total cost of these permits is around $40-$50 USD.
2. Flights: The nearest airport to Lukla, the starting point of the trek, is in Kathmandu. The cost of a round-trip flight to Lukla is around $300-$500 USD, depending on the time of year.
3. Accommodation: During the trek, you will be staying in teahouses or lodges along the trail. The cost of a room ranges from $5-$10 USD per night. Some teahouses charge a minimal fee for a hot shower or charging electronic devices.
4. Food and drinks: The cost of food and drinks during the trek can vary depending on your dietary requirements and preferences. A typical meal in a teahouse can cost around $5-$10 USD.
5. Guide and porter: Hiring a guide and porter is recommended, especially if it is your first time trekking in the Everest region. The cost of hiring a guide ranges from $25-$35 USD per day, while the cost of hiring a porter ranges from $15-$25 USD per day.
Taking all these factors into consideration, the minimum budget required for the Everest Base Camp trek is around $1000-$1500 USD. However, this is just an estimate, and your actual cost may vary depending on the services you choose and other expenses you may have during the trek.
***************Why EBC is a must do trek******************
The Everest Base Camp Trek is considered a must-do trek for many reasons, including:
1. Spectacular Scenery: The trek provides breathtaking views of the world's highest mountains
2. Physical Challenge: The trek is challenging and requires a good level of fitness.
3. Cultural Experience: The trek is an opportunity to immerse oneself in the Sherpa culture and learn about their traditions and way of life.
4. Personal Achievement: Reaching Everest Base Camp is a significant achievement for many trekkers, and it is an experience that they will never forget.
5. Connection with Nature: The trek takes place in a remote and pristine environment that allows trekkers to disconnect from the stress of daily life and connect with nature.

What a great piece of work really good content.everyrhing covered in very detail. In this one hour of video I have travelled to a full country that is Nepal.
Thanks a ton, Nizam
I hope to do this Trek and maybe a few more... I'm planning a trip to Nepal for a good few weeks in October.. I hope I'm lucky with the weather.... In Shaa Allah
October is good 💯 No worries about the monsoon
@@explorefit2434 thank you my friend.... Hopefully I'll stay a good 5 to six weeks.... Trekking and then relaxing in Kathmandu for a few days but mostly pokhara.... Your journey was fantastic with your comrades... I think I'll be a solo hiker.... Thanks again for the upload really appreciate and very helpful..... Can I just ask are there local guides available in lukla.... If I get a guide I want a local Person to help him and his family out....
If you have enough time and stamina, I would recommend to do 3 passes trek which includes EBC and Gokyo-ri. Also, for guides, yes you can find them in Lukla but you would have to spend time in looking for them, However, I have few contact of local guides in Kathmandu, You can email me at explorefitt@gmail.com or Ping me on Insyagram - atif_7343. I will connect you with them.
That's awesome. I was just mesmerized watching this.
Thanks a ton!
@ExploreFit I just forgot to ask that so far, mobiles are concerned power bank is OK. But what about charging dslr battery? Extra battery is the solution? What did you do? And at that high altitude, and temperature below minus does dslr function smoothly?
@@kherorkhata8157 Yes, extra battery is the only option, I charged the batteries last at Dengboche (Cafe 4410). You can charge there for free
@ExploreFit Thank you. Did you visit EBC on your own or with a tour operator? Can you provide a detailed itinerary of the tour? Expenses, name of some reliable operators with their details etc.

Indeed, one of the best place to explore and feel nature closely. All it need is courage and willingness to be there in lap of Himalaya!!
Exactly, but Himalayas gives you more than what it takes.

Wow, what a documentary it is… the way you captured the beauty and presented is just AMAZING… great work bro👏, keep going 👍
Thank you so much 😀
Wow magnificent
Thank you! Cheers!
There is a much more amazing high trail on the opposite side of the valley from Tengboche which goes via Phortse. The Mong La - Phortse - Pangpoche High Scenic Trail offers vastly more impressive views high across the valley, lots of wildlife and practically no other trekkers. Why go through Tengboche twice when there is a much better alternative available?
Thank you for the suggestion. Will explore this option as well
One of the most beautiful EBC videos I have ever watched. Magnifique!

For first 5 or 10 minutes introductory offline commentary is ok. But for whole trek,it diminishing the natural flow of trek.
