hello, I would like to know something I had. I had never heard of Wise Owl Chalk paint. I went to the garage sales today and there was a lady who does furniture and she uses this and she just loves it. I or my daughter need to do a dresser that we bought in a garage sale would you recommend that or would you recommend something else and do you really need to always prime this type of paint the chalk paint from Wise Owl?
Wise Owl is a good chalk paint. I don't use it very often as I have my normal rotation of paints that I use (I also don't have a retailer any where near me) so that is why too. There are so many good furniture paints on the market and its a preference, I may like one that someone else doesn't or one has a better color line, etc. This is a good chalk paint if you are looking for chalk paint. You don't always need to prime, I recommend priming when you are painting over raw/bare wood, when you have a bleeder (merry, mahogany, etc.) or when painting white as it will help use less paint and get better coverage faster!
lin most primers don’t smell great because of what they are made of. Some are worse than others (shellac and oil based - stronger than water based) GF does have an odor, less in my opinion, but I wear a respirator when using, so it doesn’t bother me.
Hi! One hour enamel was designed to be a very hard paint, fast drying paint to be able to be used within one hour. I would refer you to their website or reach out to them on instagram. They are great about getting back to their customers, I don't know a lot of products that would do that, even stained hardwood will leave a burn ring if hot plates are placed on them.
No if I am concerned about bleeding - I would go straight to a shellac. I just did a mahogany piece with a primer/stain blocker and it bled through pink for the first 4 coats, I should have gone right to the shellac to save myself all the time.
I had never heard of the cling on brush, however due to your video I have ordered one and received it toda. I’m really looking forward to using it. Watch this space ❤️

Have you tried the Wise Owl over bleed thru? Would like to try this but want to know about bleed through coverage before investing in it. Thank you.
