Im sad I started slowly drifting away from their content as early as I did but it did help take the sting away when controversies came up or the fact things were on a downturn. Was always hoping they would bounce back but with the direction youtube has been pushing over the years and the corporate side it was plain as day for all viewers. I just hope all staff and IPs have the opportunity to grow and prosper in the coming months. I know the RT staff will find themselves bright and enjoyable careers in due time. I'd say my favorite RT moment would have to be all of the fan compilations. Specifically loved RTAA + Source uploads the most. Great way to re binge all your favorite moments. Been watching them a good bit with my girlfriend lately so it's nice to relive all the best times.
I’m probably going to restart working on getting the “classic” RTAA and Source videos uploaded to my channel. It’ll take time, and I hope you’ll come back when they’re re-uploaded.
I don't have a single moment that I can name off the top of my head but my favourite years of Rooster teeth are and will always be the 2012 - 2015 era with the original AH crew (minus you know who) I pretty much looked forward to each and every video when they came out. I still stuck around till about 2017 because of shows like million dollars but, immersion and sometimes watch between the games and shenanigans but for the most part this is where I started losing a bit of interest. I came back after I heard Burnie was leaving so I started binging A LOT of RT podcast just to hear his voice again. I know that because of the issues that mostly happened over the last 4 years there is a bitter taste to this internet juggernaut but I cant understate that at least for a young 20 year old like myself, I mean heck the company has been around longer than I've been alive they played such a gigantic role on my childhood and at least the happy memories are the things I will forever hold dear
If you haven’t yet, check out Burnie and Ashley’s new podcast “Morning Somewhere.” It’s released daily M-F, and I’ve made it part of my morning routine to power up each work day. (I paused today’s episode to reply to your comment.)
I have to admit I have no idea who RT is or know of anything they've ever done. Now I'm old (watched Star Trek TOS on first broadcast on NBC) but how this can have happened? Were they that much of a niche? Is there something i can watch to get the a taste of what clearly a lot of folks loved. In any case it's always sad to see people lose their jobs and I wish them well.
I loved them from day 1 of RvB. I feel off them during Covid because they just became a super super woke mess. The last straw I had with them was the podcast but they even killed that for me. It sucks because some of them are cool people but they drifted down a wrong path for me. And no I’m not anti woke or republican. I just didn’t like a total of 39 minutes every podcast randomly crying about trump and “wear your masks!” Crying tantrums every week. They would be talking about something like bbq places and someone would try and inject anti trump or “yes I’m gay you bigots” type of stuff for no reason. It got old and annoying. The shows I loved got less and less quality and lazy. Stale and felt like a chore to watch after awhile. They outgrew their own creation and lost focus to stay relevant to the wrong crowd. They had a good run but they killed themselves with their decisions. Got too big and loss its identity and over saturated their company. They had way too many shows and not enough people so everything got worse. They did this themselves. This is why burnie left when he did. Jumped shipped to avoid drowning in this mess. Too many hush hush allegations and bad management from growing too big.
