    I love this guy and his motivation to build something big in Vietnam. We have a high demand and need for IT Specialist here in Germany. We just don't find talented people, so maybe you can help us out?

      Man, what are you talking about? You can't be from Germany. You claim there's no IT talent in Germany and you're hoping Vietnam can help? lol. IT talent in Vietnam is very low level. Germany IT is extremely high level.

    Nice video, been following your channel for a while. Josef is an ethnic Vietnamese so even if he doesn't have the passport or doesn't speak the language it's obviously much easier for him to get things done here as opposed to someone who's not an ethnic Vietnamese. Could we get a video with an 'actual' foreigner doing business in Vietnam? 😁Thanks!

    • @duongglobalbusinessconsulting
      @duongglobalbusinessconsulting  11 місяців тому +4

      Why is it "much easier for him to get things done" as an "ethnic Vietnamese"?
      While we appreciate your comment, there are several matters we would like to address:
      1. There are many ethnicities in Vietnam, 54 to be exact. "Vietnamese" is not one of them, as it is not an ethnicity in Vietnam.
      2. There are actually more business opportunities for westerners than locals in Vietnam, as people appreciate and value foreign skills.
      3. We have made several interview videos with Western expats doing business in Vietnam. You may want to browse our channel to watch them.
      Thanks for watching!

      @@duongglobalbusinessconsulting No sane person would come to VN from the west to try to open a business. Even most locals who start a business in VN fail within 1 year. I see it everyday. Vietnam is a communist country. Not good for business. You can only succeed if you are aligned with the officials. Very corrupt country. Ken knows this but he won't tell you because he's trying to sell his services. Why are all Viets desperately trying to flee to the west?

      Good luck to these "rock star entrepreneurs" that go to Vietnam for the cheap cost of living and nomadic "bootstrapping". They will have to compete with the tech thoroughbreds that are highly capitalized here where I live, in Silicon Valley, Northern California Bay Area. 85-95% of all startups eventually fail and most never turn a profit. You only hear about the unicorns and they had all the best talent involved. I laugh at these 3rd world and developing world "village tech geniuses". L-O-L.

    • @thiilaak
      @thiilaak 11 місяців тому

      @@donnguyen8443Wow. Thanks for the positive and encouraging comment. You think only silicon valley companies can be successful? I disgree with that statement. As a Vietnamese yourself it would nice if you were happy and encouraging the development of Vietnam.

    • @donnguyen8443
      @donnguyen8443 11 місяців тому

      @@thiilaak How does digital nomading encourage the development of Vietnam? Vietnam has no, as in ZERO retirement visas and legitimate business visas are very difficult to come by and the Vietnamese Gov't specifically prefers Foreign Direct Investment, most notably from big MNCs (multi-nationals). Small-time entrepreneurs trying to leverage the low cost of living and labor that Vietnam offers is simply in it for themselves. Again, these silly startups eventually die off because there are much bigger, more well capitalized, and hyper-talented startups, and even then 9+ out of 10 fail eventually. I am just telling it like it is, if you don't agree with it, that is your problem.

    • @thiilaak
      @thiilaak 11 місяців тому

      @@donnguyen8443 It’s not digital nomading if I employ 15 Vietnamese Software developers to work for my company.

    • @donnguyen8443
      @donnguyen8443 11 місяців тому

      @@thiilaak Those same 15 Vietnamese software developers are better off plying their skills on Upwork or other like freelancing platforms to maximizing their potential. Again, these types of startups almost all end up going nowhere and a waste of time, especially the local worker. There is a thing called competition, and it is global, especially for tech. You obviously don't understand business in Vietnam, and surely don't understand tech.
      BTW, your comment about me being Vietnamese is correct. However, your thinking that because I am Vietnamese I am supposed to happy and encouraging the development of Vietnam. Well, I have news and some education for you, these types of businesses are not in the best interests of Vietnam nor the local people. Vietnam will develop when value-added LEADING companies set up shop (i.e. like Samsung, Intel, other MNCs) because they move the needle and also are market leaders. Which brings me back to my original point. There are far bigger and more highly skilled tech participants (and leaders) in the global marketplace. Not these small-time pie-in-the-sky "tech" dreamers seeking out low cost of living countries.

    Good idea, get contracts in Europe and get paid in Euros or USD and outsource to Vietnam and pay staff in VND. I know an ""ok"" salary in Vietnam is 15 million VND (570 EUR / 615 USD) times 10 workers.
