I knew about the Investor Visa but I didn't know about it in detail especially for convenience stores, very interesting. Do you have to invest 130k every year to get the visa renewal or is it a one time investment and you can renew the visa yearly?

If a foreigner buy an apartment or lease a land under his name and later, he sale the property based on price appreciation, pay tax/ all legal fees...Can he take the profit to his homeland?
Many have invested in an apartment, which is stupid for so many reasons, and very few have even recouped that investment. Condos are being built at a staggering pace, which means the prices keeps dropping. Also maintenance isn't common in sea, and the poor workmanship means rebar exploding through the concrete which is rarely fixed before it's a major issue, which means it's expensive and you the homeowner is faced with a huge assessment. Rent is cheap in SEA, and renting leaves you free to move on when things start to leak and fall apart. Just RENT and invest in your own western country; you can thank me later.

How's the average expected annual return for investments that require minimal effort by me? Because if it's less than 9-10%, I'm likely better off leaving my money in the US stock market 🤔
Depends on the industry. Anywhere from 1% to 15%. Can't compare to the stock market. Investing in Vietnam means that you get to live long term in Vietnam. Investing in the US stock market does nothing for your Vietnam residency. We are talking about investing and living in Vietnam at the same time here.
