- Take down your fishing pole and meet me at the fishing hole, where today we'll be taking a look at the classic cars of Mayberry from The Andy Griffith Show, Part 2. Automobiles played an important part in the show. In fact, several of the best episodes were written around cars and the people who were driving them. So let’s take a gander at some of these fine machines, and the roles they played.
Andy Taylor is the widower sheriff of the small, sleepy North Carolina town of Mayberry. Andy and son Opie live with Aunt Bee, who takes care of the family. Andy's deputy is his bumbling but neurotically hilarious cousin, Barney Fife. Among Andy's Mayberry friends is the town's resident barber, Floyd.

Love the classic cars and the show!
A lot of Beautiful cars🤯🙀😎🖤⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍🕊🦋🕊🙏✌️🎉🇺🇸 👋💀 Thank you! Andy🙏🖤🕊AG🕊🖤🙏
After watching part 1, I was surprised by the omission of Bobby Fleet’s tour car. And here it is!
Love the old classics!❤
There was one episode that hsd a 1955 Ford Thunderbird in the background that made at least three passes. Plus there was a 1960-ish white (or light color) Ford Falcon always in the background as well.
Thumbs up great video, enjoy seeing all the scenes, Oh the memories
Floyd made quite a jump from a'34 Pontiac to a ''66 Comet Caliente.
The '57 Ford Fairlane driven by the escaped criminal is similar to the one driven by Robert Mitchum in "Thunder Road".
The best of times!
In the first subject; 'Manhunt', you iterated that Andy arrested Jim, once again, when actually THAT, was the first time. That is episode, #2. How could Andy have arrested him, again🤔???The 2nd. time was, in your previous documentary (part 1), about Jim driving back to Mayberry, in his Jaguar.
Same as I mentioned, in your 1st. documentary, this IS, an excellent job. Voice-overs, and all☺️👍!!!
Never knew James Best could play the guitar.😊 thanks Fusion Kidd
Dig the 60 Lincoln!
The backgrounds are loaded with stuff...40 Ford drop tops..57 Fords...and the episode with the party girls from Mt Pilot in their drop top Ford.
James Best played the jailed guitar player, later played Roscoe P Coltrane in the Dukes of Hazzard
Funny guy , he talks about the guitars he owns , but does not know how to play the guitar .
James Best was a decent, side character. Sometimes even a good, lead actor. A bit stupid and 'hick-like', but seemingly honest. Everything as in, an episode of the 'Twilight Zone', to sci-fi/horror movies, such as 'The Killer Shrews' (1959).
Voices r so good
That's what I took notice, to.
Great job on a nice vid
2:04 the Mopar in front of the theatre.
'57 or '58 DeSoto
Air too
'Theater' is spelled, JUST this way. The American way…………
You spelled it, the limey way🤭.
I am surprised that the bad guy's cars and the cars that had trouble were sometimes Ford's as Ford was the sponsor and provided cars for the show
Ford wised up and used their main competitor Chevrolet for criminals, using base and undistinguished models of Biscaynes 8:44 with bland paint colors.
Yes, Ford's. Fords' acronyms: 'Fix Or, Repair Daily' or 'Found On Road Dead'😁!!!
I love th 66 mercury caliente convertible.
CBS I believe it was used in the pilot of Mannix , The Name is Mannix .
It's hot😏…………
A lot of Fords in the show.
11:25 let's not forget that Comet😉.
It could have been used in the pilot of Mannix , in The Name is Mannix .
That 1960 Comet made appearances in a number of episodes.
Hey don't forget Whitney Blake's 1967 red Ford Galaxie convertible in S8E4 "Andy's Trip to Raleigh"
@@toolman0083yep! That Comet is probably in more episodes than any other, excluding the FMC provided patrol cars
Missed tthe 65 mustangs in bacground when. Andy wemt to Hollywood. Plus ep where OPIE finds. Baby. Then at emd of ep. Jack Nicholson. Pulls. Up in blue. 65. Mustang with wife by courthouse looking. For. Baby😮😮😮
