“It’s not low but it’ll raise your eyebrows I reckon.” 😂 perfection. My father used to own a German deli in the late 60s -70’s. I miss LöwenBräu so much - it was the first beer I ever tasted. You got style mate, cheers from California!
Just returned to the USA after the best time in the Löwenbrau tent in Munich at Oktoberfest. German lagers may seem boring to some, but they are delicious, reliable and specially subtle.
I couldn't find it ever in the US. So when I have a long weekend such as President's Day here in the US I can drive to Canada and get it. That's exactly what I did.
You cannot get it in America for at least the last 20 years. The reason it lost popularity was because they started to allow Molsen in Canada to brew it, instead of directly importing it from Germany. That ruined it for a lot of people as the taste was altered, so they stopped buying it. Maybe some of those people who rated it low, didn't get the ones directly from the Munich brewery.
@@khabbad The only place I knew that you could still get it back in the day (imported directly from Germany) was Epcot, in the Germany pavilion. I was also lucky enough to find some on tap in a German restaurant on the west coast of Florida. However that was a long time ago, and I do not believe it has been imported into America for decades.
Greg. Love all ur videos. Man. I got a question. Where did u buy lowenbrau?? My dad turns 80. It's his favorite I cant find it. Were flying in all friends in 1 month. Please let me know if u dont mind
oh Greggo, I was in a bad mood on that day when I checked the beer in. It must have been back in the early days when I thought that I knew it all. If I had my time again I'd give it an upgraded score
Löwenbraü is not a homogenized beer. Depends on where it was brewed. I heard Canadian version is trash compared to what we were drinking 20 years ago. I got a 12 pack of it for $10.89 in 2008. It was the go to for an empty cooler.
IBU’s are the International Bitterness Units. It’s a unit of measure for Bitterness in beers. Typically one of the measurements used for categorising styles of beer.
Many years ago in Europe while stuffing around , my mate and me found this poop undrinkable even when there was nothing else to drink..That was 45 years ago and everytime I've tried it since it still tastes like cat piss as usual.. YOU CAN HAVE IT.
Lowenbrau is simply one of the best.
I miss this beer in the USA. Truly underestimated.
I loved Lowenbrau back in the 80s. I was so sad when it disappeared.
I used to get their dark beer on tap, it was excellent. 🍻
I've tried beers from all around the world and lowenbrau is my favorite!
Yes it's a pretty good drop, I'll have to find another one and try it again
My favorite was Lowenbrau dark , smokey beer.

I haven’t seen this beer in years. St. Pauli Girl, too.
I Haven't seen Lowenbrau in the States in ages

Motley Crue has those two dots over the o and the u because they were drinking Lowenbrau beer when they decided on their name. True story!
Ww
I got a carton of Lowenbrau for 40 bucks at BWS about 3 months ago. Quite nice for the price I thought

Beautiful Beer, I remember l remember, thanks and where can we get some!
They do not ship to the U.S. anymore. It was my favorite beer.
I couldn't find it ever in the US. So when I have a long weekend such as President's Day here in the US I can drive to Canada and get it. That's exactly what I did.
Is it the same? I’ve been told the Canadian brew is terrible compared to what we were getting 20 years ago.
Does anyone know why it's not in the u.s. any more?

You could get it until about 2011 or 2012 I think
I thought it was bought by Miller and they screwed it up then stopped selling it in the states?

My favorite was the Lowenbrau Dark. I can find it here in the US. Great video or commercial😄.

Used to be known as “lower your bra” in this corner of England

"LOL - it's even got 19 IBU's. Whatever that is..." You're hilarious!
Wish they still made that beer here in the u s a
grego try pouring about 2/3rds and giving the last third a swirl before you pour it, should make for a better head
Lowenbrau is a nice clean beer not too strong a taste nd it's brewed to the German purity law so no additives and less likely to give bad hangover.
Except the hop extract (syrup) which is really pushing the 'purity law' label
Down the hatch Greg 🍺👍👀
Grego.. look up “Kay’s kitchen” it’s so funny and terrible. You might get a kick out of it
you should stream on twitch! very entertaining!
I grew up drinking lowenbrau beer and I miss it. I tried the original German version but don't care for it.
I was in Interlaken in 2009....... Just saying.
Good drop grego
The more you drank the lower the score went. What score do you give it after the 6 pack?
I do like Lowenbrau but my fav is still Becks beer :)
oh yeh, the IBU stands for International Beer Units something to do with the bubbles or how much of hangover you get
😂 i hope ur joking. It means International Bittering Units higher the number the more bitter the beer tastes
@@roddevereaux1830 bullshit, it's actually International Bubble Units that is going to tell you how fizzy it is

I'll be trying this 5 star no 4.75
