I agree, the lack of numbers for noting measurement is a big miss. Also, what happens when LED lights die? Question: Which 1176 Revision would you say the Mimas likely models it's behavior & tonal qualities from?
I just bought a Titan, 2x Mimas, and a Prometheus today. They haven't arrived yet but I'm really looking forward to this workflow. It's kind of shocking to me that there are so few companies with the analog w/ digital control format. It's pretty much the holy grail in my opinion. Thanks for the vid!
I 100% agree with you. For mixing I now I only buy hardware with plugin recall. Such as the McDSP APB. Makes life so much easier with recalling sessions.
Can you give me some advice? would love to see a video on this... I want to buy a pair of compressors and I only have enough money to do it once. call it a cap of $1000 per channel. i could go a bit above but prefer not to. I was planning on some 1176 clone but found the RND 543 and am thinking maybe its better to get a neve product over a clone. its cheaper than a wes audio mimas but i dont see anyone really talking about it. I already have a titan and a prometheus so the mimas is an option
I was blown away by the weight of this unit. Heavy! Sounds amazing!
Did you tracked vocals with it? How is it doing tracking.. ?
