So sorry for the long silence, I have had a lot to deal with healthwise and I needed some time out to get myself together to face the treatments ahead. Hey Nanou. peanuts are looking gooooood!! It has been a very cold and wet start to the season I feel like a month behind! That is a beautiful selection of sunflowers! Cézanne is so funny, he's like mum more seed sowing again!! Love the spring planters outside the poly the pop of colour is just as I had imagined 🤩🤩
Hi Laura! Cézanne is so like Roo, he has to take part in everything I do! He never likes it if I give my attention to anything else or anyone else but him! Your plants look great! Your fur baby helping you garden was adorable! Our Labrador past away over the winter and he was my garden helper. This spring has not been the same not having him with me. I enjoyed seeing your sweet baby!
I am so sorry about your fur baby passing away, it is always so heart wrenching…. We lost Cézanne’s brother last October and we are missing him dearly so my heart goes out to you. They hold such a big place in our lives and our heart, it is so painful that their lives are so short. Just thinking of losing Cézanne and I feel I can’t breathe. He is 14 years old already and his brother passed away at 17 due to a tumour so we are making sure he is having his best life with us and we indulge him a lot Fluffy likes to tell us, but why not is what I reply. He is so loving he deserves to be spoiled! I hope you find comfort in all the wonderful memories you shared with your fur baby, at least you have those to treasure forever in your heart. Lots of potatoes Nanou, they are so fun to grow! The excitement when harvesting I just don’t get with other veg 😂 love the way your cat talks to you and keeps you company when sowing, Daisy is the same but she’s naughty and digs in my trays 😂 Love Sunflowers 🌻
Hi Amir, thank you so much! We did end up with a lot more potatoes than I thought but that’s ok as we love eating them and you are right, they are so satisfying to harvest! I love the fact that like us with Cézanne, you love and treasure your Daisy. Every time she is on camera it shows that she is such a happy cat. As cat lovers, we both know that cats are as loving and devoted as dogs with a pinch more of naughtiness but it makes them even more loveable! You know that saying “ a home isn’t a home without a cat in it! “ I think it is so true! 😘🌸💕

So sorry about the crushed peanuts! Most of them arrived in poor condition, so sad how unreliable the post is nowadays… in the end, the only peanuts that germinated were from the health shop, not from the seeds company. They are quite tricky to start. Would you like me to send you some more, I am just worried they might arrive in bad condition again but I am willing to try again if you want me to. Let me know. I have been unwell and didn’t managed to do a video for 3 weeks but I am trying to get back on track now. Wishing you a lovely weekend. 😘💕🌸

That bed was a challenge to build! Grinch did great! It is so large! Just perfect for the potatoes. It also makes a great boundary for the plot! I am also thrilled with raspberry frame! It turned out brillantly! 😄👍💕🌸

Your potatoes should be fine. Mine got some frost last year and they still grew very well. Don’t worry too much. They are in the ground, that is the most important. The wind definitely makes gardening very tricky! Hopefully the raspberries will grow despite the move and being battered by the wind!!! 😘💕🌸

I am now feeling happy that we moved all the fruits to the second plot. They look great there and hopefully they will establish well. I have accepted that we will have to put chicken wire around all the beds now. We are surrounded by fields and we have so many deers and rabbits visiting the plot. It would be so much better if we could have a fence around the plot but the council will not allow it. Cézanne has to take part in everything we do! Wishing you a good weekend! 😘🌸💕

Deer eat lot's of things on the Wisconsin property. I've stopped trying to do a lot of things. They even loved the thorny roses, imagine eating those!

Deers do eat everything apart from the weeds!!!!! Isn’t that typical!! I have come to realise that I am going to have to put chicken wire around all the beds, it is the only thing that works. You might have to do the same in the Wisconsin unfortunately. 😘💕🌸

Hello Nonou. Nice update 👍 Your peanuts look amazing. I just planted my sprouted, bought in a Health shop ones, yesterday. 🤞 they will grow into nice plants like yours.
Thank you so much! I am so glad you got yours from the health shop, that is the best way to grow them as the peanuts have to be less than a year old to grow. I do wonder how old some the seeds are in some of the seeds packet we buy… sprouting them is the hardest part I found, after that, they grow very quickly as long as they are warm. Sunflowers are amazing sometimes. My daughter and I grew them even in the wind. The ones I fussed over were knee height. The ones we out out earlier were up to our bedroom window and had neighbours asking what they were. 😮 Amazing.

So sorry that you are getting so much cold still! Grinch has quite a few more beds to build for the old fruit areas. I have been buying them in the sale and putting them in the garage. He wasn’t impressed how many were in there! 🤣😂 He normally always picks up the spiders and put them outside, I still don’t know why he squished that one! We did have so many potatoes to plant! I have put them a lot closer then they should be but it will have to do! I am intrigued to see what happens, hopefully not a disaster!!! 😘💕🌸

Supposedly it is one of the sweetest of the currants and the colour is just gorgeous! I really hope it will grow well. It is so great to have a dedicated fruit area! 😘💕🌸
@@plotno.9 Yes, its lovely, but a little advise for the future, if you will be doing preserve, the one with the most vitamines among Currants are black one 👍 And it has the strongest aroma 👍 I did last summer a liquer from it (like Limonchello), it tastes great! 👍😋😃

I have planted 2 black currants as well! I have all 4 colours to try now! Very exciting! I didn’t know the gooseberries came in so many colours too! I will have to look for the yellow one! I am so sorry that the peanuts didn’t arrive… the same happened to Stella’s. If I remember correctly I posted your nuts on the same day. What on earth did the post office do with them that day… it is unbelievable how unreliable the post is nowadays… so sad and frustrating. We're are you...been over a month since last vlog
The cucamelon grow like crazy. I put 4 plants in my tunnel in my first year and they swamped everything else. In the end I had to cut them back.
The allium leaf miner is a horrible little critter. I lost the majority of my onions last year to them. This year I’m taking no chances and netting like crazy.
My garlic seems to love being in the tunnel. It could be that your tunnel isn’t ventilated as much as mine which could explain the rotting. I leave the vents open all year and I think that helps?
I didn’t know about the sand on asparagus so I will give it a try. I still have some left over from the carrot planter.
Your videos always seem to get me thinking and you pack so much in 👍🏻

Wow, I didn’t know cucamelon grew that big, I hope not all the seeds I planted will grow!!! It seems I only need one successful one! I thought garlic would be best off outdoors because they need the frost to divide them into bulbs. Never heard of them being grown I'm a greenhouse. Onions would be ok x
I was told that the soft neck garlic needed to be planted in the polytunnel but I won’t do that again! It will all go out next year! I have learned my lesson! The garlic outside is doing so well! I am glad I didn’t lose it all! 😘💕🌸
I hope you got my email ok, Nanou. I don't belong to instagram etc so I attached a photo, to the e email, of my peanuts to show how i was getting along. I have moved my peanuts to the greenhouse on a heat mat. I think I need to pot them on now as they are in very small pots.I think the foliage looks quite pea like.I have 28 plants altogether. Not sure what i am going to do with them all, ha ha. I have planted Vivaldi, Anya and Charlotte potatoes. They are coming along really well.The garlic may have white root rot.which affects onions and garlic. That disease stays in the soil for years 😞Good job you didn't planYt them out with your other garlics. Not sure if they should be excluded from the compost heap because of spreading the fungus. You have made a fantastic fruit garden. Well done guys. Happy gardening 🙂

I wasn’t well and we had a lot on in the last 3 weeks so everything got on top of me but I am slowly getting back to normal. Thank also for letting me know about the garlic, I will pull it out of the compost. It is amazing how badly it did compare to the one outside. I have learned from that mistake. It will all go out next year! 😘💕🌸

Hi! Really sorry about the long silence. I have had to cope with some difficult health issues which took me a while to get my head around it but I am now feeling positive and ready to face the treatments. Getting back on the plot is also the best thing for me. Planning to release a video next week. Thank you for your kind message. 😘💕🌸
