    See my thing is that it’s so rusted in there I can’t get it out, do you have to wiggle it a certain way? I’ve got all the bolts out but nothings budging at all.

    Dropping that tank with such short lines was the biggest P.I.T.A. You don't have room or enough hose to turn the locking hub for the fuel pump. Probably much easier to remove the bed, but that is wayyy too much work compared to just fighting the tank. 😂

      Thank you for the comment. I have been editing my butt off so when I get to town with my house net, I can upload 2-3 videos at a time and just have them release every other day. Ehh its a plan. Thank you all for waiting this out. I have been running 13+ hour days during harvest!
      Also looking into getting a drone, so atleast you guys can have a side show of What I am doing when I am not building up vehicles.

    Do you have to remove the truck bed to get the tank out?

    • @Gottiline_Ace
      @Gottiline_Ace 11 місяців тому

      You don't have to, but it makes it sooo much easier. Disconnecting the fuel sending unit from the tank is almost impossible on these old trucks. If you can get the new one hooked up and locked in place, mounting it is easy.

    Hey man cool video. Questioning whether I have to clean ground or replace sending unit as I have no fuel gauge in my new 1976

    • @unprofessionalsllc6273
      @unprofessionalsllc6273  4 роки тому +1

      So I am not 100% sure, but here is my knowledge. Its cheaper to try and insure your ground wire is strong and clean grounded. Then after, if the gauge goes to somewhere in the middle and does a weird bounce, it should be a bad sending unit. But if the gauge goes to full or empty and sits hard at those spots then its a bad ground. Chevy ground in these years seemed to be backwards of everyone else hahah. That is the extent of my knowledge on the question, hope others can chime in!

      Not sure if you've got her figured out yet, but I know many times it's either one of two things. 1) The float is rusted through or deteriorated (the ethanol in today's fuel isn't friendly to those older vehicles), making the float sink to the bottom cause the gauge to always read empty. Or 2) The sender wire could be shorted out or disconnected, normally causing the gauge to go past full, usually around the 3 o'clock position. You might have one, or both issues. BTW if your issue is the float, and want to reuse your original sending unit, you just can buy a new float, instead of the entire unit (I would recommend a plastic one instead of brass if you are planning to run fuel that contains ethanol). But I would still test the sending unit with a multimeter to make sure it functions before you buy a float.

      Hey thanks for the information. I actually have new wires and sending units. I bought a new tank and restored the other tank. I am actually VERY far into this build and only got 1 video up taking a tank off hahah. But what happened was Harvest on a farm. So I thought I would just take my content and edit it in the bushes 1hr a day before bed. Then when I get to town just upload it with my nice fast unlimited home net... Welp, never go home and working 12 or 14hr days doesnt leave room for much. I REALLY appreciate all the people who are interested in this channel and it isnt dead despite months of no uploads. I have months of content in storage and making the money right now to finish this things strong like most are going to want!! While I am making this comment, how about anyone that reads it replies on a subject for me!!! Would you guys be interested in some videos of farming/harvest time to upload late in the spring while I am uploading project videos? You know something different but not too far off from vehicles and life?!?!? Let me know in the comments below guys!!

      Back in my videos I am installing an overhead beam/crane to lift light objects.
      Its been done fully for awhile, I stopped uploading because of family and health issues. I have tons of videos to edit and upload to catch everyone up on project.
      Its in pieces and engine not so good. More to come I hope before end of this year now that kids are back in school.

      There is some rust we will get to for sure. Front cab mounts near feet need outer panels and the brace installed. Has new inner panels.
      Also the rear fenders around wheel s aren't terrible, but cant let it get loose. Thank you for following this project, it has lots to do and fun to be had after its built.

      Maybe go carnivore diet. I found for myself personally Corn, Gluten & corn syrup among some other food allergies on top of that really now I feel so much better, really aware of what causes headaches and what does not. People told me forever it was electrolytes. No the %^$# it wasn't. It was something I had eaten 2 days ago, that is what a lot of headaches are from. Especially in your 30s. Inflammation and digestion are the cause of most headaches. In America we put too much corn syrup into the stuff that we are feeding our people.
