- Whaz UP my dear boys and girls it's your PRB12 here and just like always: WELCOME to another review of pokemon Horizons! 8D This time we're talking about Episode 8 and while for many fans this is nothing else then just the ''warum up'' before we arrive to the Paldea region....I actually really enjoyed this episode and thought it was A LOT of fun!

@@mayracordero382 It's a good watch, as always there are small snipets that can give you a good laugh, this series has amazing comedic timing.
This felt more like a filler episode, but it wasn't that bad.
When they revealed Dot was Murdock's niece & we saw glimpses of her, I couldn't see the similarity. But when we saw her pull her bangs up to see her face in Horizons' 1st Filler EP, I can see the resemblance. (And I can't believe Zir is a fan of Nidothing!!!) - And I also loved how when they were wondering why the food provisions were low in the meeting room, the 4 girls of the crew present there blamed & looked at the guys (and I mean they weren't wrong as Murdock was using them to get Dot to eat)
just loved how the girls were spot on and especially likos smugness was priceless! xD
Also really funny how people in my comments mention how Zir is just casually a Nidothing fan.... I honestly didn't even realize that....

Zir (the guy from the Explorers) also watches Nidothing´s streams. If you pay attention to the other question asked during the stream you can tell it´s him:

I my opinions, long time ago, i compare Ash Ketchum with the Autobot Bumblebee, his friends Misty with Arcee, Iris with Chromia, Goh with Cheetor and his love interest Serena with Windblade and his arch-enemies the Rocket Team (Jessie with the Decepticon Shatter and James with Dropkick) and Giovanni with Starscream
Also i compare now Liko with the Autobot Elita One, Roy with Mirage, Friede with Hot Rod, Mollie with Airazor, Murdock with Rhinox and his enemies the Explorers with the Terrorcons (Amethio with Scourge, Zir with Battletrap and Conia with Nightbird) and Spinel with Transit and Gibeon with Unicron
I feel like I was one of the first people who realised this,the best thing to do in this scenario is to focus on zir's next battle. If he orders rhydon to use protect and sandstorm,then that is undeniable proof that he is a fan of nidothing.
It’s finally time for Paldea.
I do find it funny that Zir attended the livestream and ask Nidothing for advice to get good get good in battles.
I feel like Dot will have a tragic backstory once we really get it fleshed out

Even the least eventful episodes of Pokemon Horizons are enjoyable!
They must've fireproofed the floorboards or smth cuz Charizard's flame was right on the wood. Also judgemental Quaxly + judgemental Sprigatito was a gem.

So far I've been liking these slice of life episodes of Horizons. They kind of feel like good One Piece filler episodes where the Straw Hats travel to their next destination and we get moments of rest and time to better flesh out the characters (ex- the episodes rin between Alabasta & Jaya that took place on the ship, or the episode after Brook joined the crew and tried too hard to be helpful). It even feels like a mini arc with the last episode since they both introduced & focused on Dot.

Yeah... it has filler vibes but seems a LEGIT well thought out episode like a calm before the storm of harsh things that may happen in these next episodes, a "filler" chapter before the main event in a manga... like Shaman King with Manta/Morty parents relationship and here is kinda the same, the relationship between Liko and her Senpai... HOPEFULLY THESE EMOTIONS AND CHARA DEV DISPLAYED WONT BE OF WASTE!

Heh. THIS is how you do a "filler" episode. 😏🫡 Been a while since I've commented but let's give it another go, shall we (probably won't be long cuz busy)
▶️ I can relate to Dot... maybe too much. 😓 Real life feels like an absolute pain sometimes and interacting with others these days just adds stress.
▶️ I love that one of the livestream questions seems to be from Zir of the Explorers. Lmao. Rhydon? Rock Blast? Lost to EMBER? Hmmmmmmmmmm 😏
▶️ I love the bonding time Friede had with Roy in the city and just how excited the later was to just EXPLORE and try and find answers. Lol. Also it is implied that Amethyo, Zir, and Conia were also there at some point.
▶️ _Do I need to add anything more to Liko getting creamed by Alcreamie? 😅 You know it, I know it, we ALL know what already started happening.
▶️ Loved Ludlow's little joke there with the lunch. Lol. Even if it probably doesn't translate the best in English. 😂

Haha yeah at one point I was also just like you and Dot! Not that I HATED social interaction outside of the internet, but the mindset that it was more inconvenient compared to just being for myself.... As soon as she said that I related maybe a Lil bit too much...
I wish I didn't rushed throw that scene, because I initially didn't realize that while watching it. But as soon as the comments in this video mentioned that Zir just popped up during Nidothings livestream I rewatched it again and laughed way too much! XD
I mean sure I worded that Alcreamie scene very clumsily..... But they made me do it in the first place let's be honest haha
I really do like ludlows suttle comments (not only in this episode but just in general everytime he appears) and yeah I thought the same since many of his advices and word plays are more japanese based so the dub really has to... I guess "westernize" it somehow
I juts LOVED likos smug faces, but the other faces she did was also adorable! ( like her fangirling over Nidothing answering her question)
And speaking of adorable: Dot really was cute while eating those doughnuts from Murdock (a bit of Tsun vibes)
And I'm also really looking forward to paldea since it's not only a change in environment, but I'm just curious how they are going to showcase Gen 9 as a whole (I really hope they won't treat it like Journeys did with Gen 8)
Was it just a filler? Sure but it also is one of those episodes that for Fans to just sit back, relax and enjoy.
Sadly we had too many of these *fillers* in journeys.

That and the depictions of the characters, like Ash being a poorly written Gary Stu. And the only character with actual good potential (Chloe) had her potential wasted by this goddamn series.

And well.....since we're talking about you, I would recommended the famous "Löwenbräukeller" near the center of the town! :D not only do you get some great beer, but you also get some beer or munich related memorabilia as well! And since it's near the center, you can easily visit even more places easily via metro or even via bus ^^

I think you saying that Roy can't stay alone for 2 seconds like Ash is a pretty innacurate reading of his character.
It's not that he doesn't want to stay alone, it's that he wants to ask about the shiny Rayquaza and discover the city.
You know, because he has grown up on an island and it's the first time he has the occasion to go to a big city in his entire life.
This last episode of Ash and Pikachu is not completed, there's something missing from this final episode. Giovanni tells Matori to study the plans for the doomsday project, Team Rocket's doomsday project built, Team Rocket try to catch Ash's Pikachu again, Officer Jenny saving Ash and Pikachu from Team Rocket, the doomsday ships arriving, Professor Oak texting all of Ash's old friends an emergency, Ash reuniting with all his old friends, Ash and his old friends joining Gary and the Mew Project members, Ash and all the trainers arriving at the doomsday project of Team Rocket, all of the trainers engaging in battle against Team Rocket, Ash challenging Giovanni to a final battle, Ash and Serena uniting the Energy Stones of Power to destroy Team Rocket's doomsday project, Team Rocket and Giovanni defeated, Ash, Serena and Pikachu flying together with Ho-Oh through the sky, Ash and Serena kissing and all the trainers celebrating Team Rocket's defeat, 26 years in the future, Ash and Serena getting married and all their old friends having kids of their own.

I actually always forget about the new episode until your review drops... so I can't really say the new series has got me hooked so far ...
But I agree that this episode, if not very substantial, was fun to watch. This, on a base level, is how you do slice-of-life right: you work with the characters and their interactions, and don't try to force them into "special" situations; take notes, Sun&Moon.. well, too late for that.
Still lot of room for improvement though ... mainly that the characters, overall, are not that fleshed out yet. Murdoc might actually be the best one so far ... maybe Friede as well, but his choice of Pokemon Partners is just so agressively boring T.T Maybe he really is the spiritual successor to Ash ^^
And I still like Liko, but her character doesn't seem to go anywhere...
Maybe now that they've reached Paldea things will get moving, but the preview didn't really seem like much.
We finally arrived at the palda region I wonder what type of adventures the characters are going to get into who knows it might even change some of the characters 10/10

This definitely felt more like a slice-of-life episode, but I did enjoy that we got some development for Dot AKA Nidothing. Also, I couldn't help but laugh when Liko freaked out about Nidothing reading her comment during the livestream. I'm giving this episode a 5/10.
I remember when i thought the person in the nidoking? Queen? Suit was ash because the voice sounded familiar too me and i said "maybe ash became a youtuber or something lol"

It might be a bit filler-y in the grand scheme of things, but it was the start of my new favorite ship for the anime, so it certainly has that going for it.
6:04 I'd beg to differ. Well the episode isn't focusing on shiny rayray, it is helping to not only establish&further dots character, it also helps to further the upcoming relationship with liko and dot. Overall I'd say it's not a plot episode, but more of a character development episode.
Time for Paldea.❤

How is this episode filler when Nidothing's identity is clearly revealed in that episode ? Even though we knew before, it's the first time it's not hidden in any way. And I feel like it's an important plot point.
