Fundamentally, we haven't valued others as we value ourselves. The recommendation about focusing on how we treat others now resonated with me. As has been said, sometimes the only thing -- the best thing -- you can do while the plane goes down is hold the hand of the person next to you. It might be too late for some things, but it's never too late for living with compassion.

Thank you Jem , this conversation helped me to clarify a few things and reenforce my focus. I especially was interested in your points about that this is already happening, it isn't a "one day in the future" for most of us. And your comment about sharing the commons , just taking it back, has me started to do just that, Thank you. Much love, from Costa Rica.

I am subscribing and liking 1)because your documentary was brilliant 2)because you're fighting a useless battle but still in the trenches, and 3) mostly to spite the idiots here complaining about the SOUND quality in what is obviously a local hall with hand-held microphones and no one there mixing it to perfection. Such suffering!!! The fact that people can be confronted with information like this and STILL be stuck in their own selfish stupidity, probably sitting in dank dark basements doing absolutely nothing while others, like Jim, are actually out there trying to raise consciousness and knowledge... and nevertheless they complain about the quality of the sound. This is exactly why we are doomed. It is as sad as the loss of species, plants, oxygen, soil, water: the loss of human empathy and intelligence. It is tragic.

We think we can fill the Earth into human overshoot and life will go on as usual. The science says absolutely not.

"We can still cope...." C3S published "Hottest May on record spurs call for climate action", wherein can be found this: global temp has risen 0.75 degC over the 1991-2020 baseline over the past 3.5 yrs., so 0.214 degC annually on ave., which is taking us to 2 degC by 2027, and 3 degC by 2032, 4 degC by 2037, 5 degC by 2042 and the climactic endstage of 6 degC by 2047.

Jem’s comment about the financial system collapse is disingenuous. Financial collapse leads to a loss of industrialization. Which then results in a loss of albedo because of a lack of particulate.

There was a group of enthusiasts operating in Byron Bay using "alternative energy" sources, but because they were unable to separate the power technology from a belief in some kind of divine personality, interest in something that could technically be as accidentally unstable as an intentional nuclear bomb in the hands of children, ..tends to be a bit off putting.
So review, reiterate and restate the Principle derived from Euler's analytical techniques to state the functional fact of e-Pi-i Logarithmic Time Duration Timing Actuality and emulate The Calculus of real-time relative-timing sum-of-all-histories existence. TINA.
