- I wasn't in the market for a new watch, however after chatting to a good friend of mine over the phone, he pointed me in the direction of a recent watch sale. He told me that if he had the money spare right now, he would be purchasing this watch.
I had a look at the website and after going back to the site several times that day, I had to pull the trigger and buy it for myself as the watch offers incredible quality, value and outstanding looks.
The watch in question is the Christopher Ward C60 Trident 600 Pro.

My first CW was the C65 Trident diver with the hw SW210 and I still say that CW has more bang for the buck than anyone. There case finishing and all is superb. Thanks again, Brian.

You won't be able to get a red bezel one now. They're not making them any more. I've got a few new/mint ones though for sale.
Some say there's no such thing as a perfect watch but to me I think this is the one that I've been looking for for such a long time, the watch size, the dial, the bezel and bezel action, the hands and the indices, the lume. It's just amazing. It open my mind and perspective towards watches. For this watch is perfect period. I just watched it wearing my CW 60 MK3, but mine is black bezel and 40mm case. I absolute love it! I had the same of yours but the previous version with different set of hands. Great content my friend, congrats! And people, please, stop complaining about the logo, CW is doing something disruptive, apart from the other brands. Isn't good? We don't want the same design printed in every single brand! Embrace the different! Have a good one!
Just bought my first ever piece from this brand and I love it. Beautiful design and super craftsmanship. Mine is the C3 Grand Tourer Quartz Chronograph.

Great video and review - I took advantage of CW's sale recently too and pick up the SC that was on sale - my first ever CW - as you've mentioned in the video, the quality is superb and I don't think it's gonna be me last CW either

I totally agree with your comments. I picked up the C60 Blue Limited Edition a few months ago. Everything is impressive with Christopher Ward, from the website to the customer support to the packaging and ultimately the watch itself. The watch feels like a real tool, it feels indestructible. It wants to be used, it wants to go on adventures with you and it won't let you down. The casing, finishing, dial, bezel and crown all look and feel amazing. For such a cheap watch you get so much more for you money.

CW is one of my favorite brands. I picked up the GMT version with black dial and red bezel. I wear it all the time. Super comfortable and amazing band with micro adjustment.
I work with a British team and have asked them if they are familiar with CW? They weren't...I told them I am more British than they are. CW has a long way to go in their own country. I've been exploring several British brands I really like...Farer, Pinion, Feers and Anordain..I have web pages open for all of them.
CW creates some the highest quality timepieces for the money. Beautiful fit & finish, with solid sales throughout the year. Great video

I bought the blue one last fall, 38mm as well as im a smaller wrist guy and it was my first "decent" watch. They kind of raised my expectations a bit too high because my hamilton feels like a toy after that watch. I also just took advantage of their end of year sale and picked up one of their quartz chronograph the c60 with a blue dial and mesh bracelet for less than 300 dollars! Apparently their new years sales are well known to people who follow the brand. Check again next Jan. They always have incredible sales and honestly their watches are worth every penny even at full price. Nice pickup man! 👌👌

Awesome watch, Peter! I have had my CW C60 Trident for three years now, and it is simply superb. One does not appreciate the quality until you hold it in your hands. Feels exactly like my Tudor ... at $800. I also love the quirkiness of CW. I am now saving up for the C60 GMT which, as a real GMT, offers even more value. Enjoy!

Just like you, I saw these for sale back in January but didn't pull the trigger for one. Two reason, one, I liked the look of the white dial better and two, the stock photo for the watch from the CW site didn't look that good. Then I saw your video, your review and macro shots of the watch and thought damn!!
They're back on sale again on CW, 42mm and this time, I did not hesitate to pull the trigger. It's now sitting on my wrist and she's a beauty, superbly well made and I'm so happy I snagged one this time round as I think CW is discontinuing this colour way
They are just thoroughly and profoundly good. It does just draw you in.

I love that red ceramic and gloss black dial. Really nice length handset, super easy to read. I'll be honest, this is my second time watching the video. At first, I wasn't sure what to think.. I was half-busy with something else, so didn't pay enough attention. Now that I have, I notice way more detail that makes this one a really nice watch.
This is what I enjoy about watches you know, sometimes it's about the overall package, sometimes it's about some very small detail... this one has plenty of small detail that reward you for taking a deeper look.

Congratulations on the new watch. I have the 40mm version in blue and when I received it the crown and bezel were silky smooth. Now I’ve had it for a year I find the bezel is very sticky and the hybrid strap is looking quite faded. I wear mine about a week per month and it’s in the ocean with me on most of those days. The watch is rinsed and soaked in freshwater each day but the close tolerances with the bezel mean it’s not as smooth or as functional as my seiko mini turtle. I noticed their prices jumped up 10% last year so I would only get one if it’s on sale. I like the hybrid strap but it’s not worth $100 to replace. I’ll get a decent waffle for less than half that.

Same sale. I'm waiting for a super compressor right now. I went totally vintage with that one. It has that vintage case shape so unlike anything in my collection unless you go back to the watch I wore in the 4th grade. Yeah, I still have the first 2 watches I got as a child.

I'm a confirmed CW fan. I have two Tridents and they offer fabulous quality at this price point. A Marmite brand for some reason but that doesn't worry me in the slightest. The red bezel looks great. Nice review as always.

Christopher Ward makes fantastic watches at great prices and this is why they are growing in popularity with watch collectors all over the world! I was torn between the C60 and the C65. I ended up purchasing the c65 Trident on bracelet during the 50% sale. Absolutely 🥰

I own four C60 Tridents, two with the old logo (chronograph and GMT) and two with the new logo (COSC chronometer and titanium). Durable tool watches with nice wrist presence. Warranty work handled with no fuss. Bought all on sale or using a coupon. Great value watches that occupy a unique price/performance niche in my collection.

Cheers Peter great review. I've had the c60 GMT for the last year and it's hardly been off my wrist, only bit of advice is get it on bracelet it's the most comfortable strap I've got by miles and the divers extension is up there with the best.

I do have 2 vintage 38.5mm Sears traditions divers made by Heuer that are very similar to the Omega & the CW. Only thing is, with 7-3/4" wrists they look a lil' small but I like them a lot, Congrats on the new acquisition bro 😎 ...

I now own 3 Christopher Ward's. My first CW was the 42mm 2nd gen C60 Trident Pro 600 on steel bracelet with the red ceramic bezel. My second was the 2nd gen 38mm C60 Trident Pro 600 vintage on a steel bracelet with matte black ceramic bezel, and finally my 3rd CW is the C65 Super Compressor on a tropic with the Black Sand dial. Love thier watches and my 4th will most likely be a 40mm with a blue dial.
You probably know very well that you can't go wrong with this brand, ENJOY them !!!
I too am a big fan of CW watches, I have 4. My favorite is my C65 bronze limited edition diver w/their inhouse designed, handwound movement.
Beautiful watch and I had one and wanted to love mine (all black version). Had to return it twice before selling. The hole watch vibrated when wounded. Also the 5 year warranty, if not mistaken, is good if you send it in for service during the 5 years.

I just bought this model to go with the other 4 Christopher Ward watches I've bought in the last 12 months. I sold a Cartier Santos to fund these purchases & I have to say that I don't regret it one bit. CW watches are fantastic quality, look beautiful & can be customised with a simple change of strap to match the occasion. Servicing a Cartier costs in the region of £400. You can pick up a new or unworn CW for that kind of money, for me it's a no-brainer......CW watches win every time.
Nowdays there are so many new brand of watches is raising with good build quality and specs i'm glad to see that and i appreciate it.
Is this the awakening of horology even in pandemic ?

I have a manual wind C65 no date and a C60 pro 600 both on the steel bracelet. This brand is fantastic and I will most likely get another one. I would recommend this brand to anyone, hard to beat for the price!!

Looks nice. But I can't get over that big Christopher Ward name printed on the left on the dial. Especially considered that Christopher Ward himself left the company years ago.
Why change the name because the guy is no longer there? The Aedumars family run AP, should they change the name to A vice AP?
Never heard that CW had left the company do you know what happened ?

Personally I think the left logo has become their identity now and as far as CW leaving and the name needing to change...They are probably thinking, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
I agree with you about the printed name. For me, it'd be like wearing someone else's watch. That's why I've discounted the brand from my thoughts when buying.
Especially, as they have a really good logo ( on the watch as well) & it appears, good quality & value timepieces. Obviously, we're in a minority aa other buyers don't have this issue ( great for them).

Crazy! I just bought a CW C-60 GMT with the exact same Red bezel. I bought it off a watch forum for less than half price and barely used. I just don't see a big difference in the Christopher Ward's quality compare to Omega and some other big Swiss brands. Of course I know the movements of Omega are better than CW but the attention to detail in the case, dial, and hands are just so good for the money on these CW's.
Second review I've seen inside of 24hours of the same colorway of this C60 watch. I have the same one except in 42mm and it's on bracelet. What is good, CW doesn't beat you over the head if you want to go from strap to bracelet or vice versa. I think it was over at RandomRob's area.

I have the 42mm version of this same exact watch, and wear it both on the strap and got their bracelet for it as well. I have had watches that are much more than this, and those go away, but this one stays and keeps being my favorite without question.

Agreed. If you can get passed the name brands of watches the c ward is a gem. I'd put it above tag heuer i.m.o.

Beautiful watch.
The placement and use of Christopher’s full name on the dial gives it the look and feel of a designer fashion watch.
You get past it when it's on wrist. To be honest, I am so tired of vintage style watches and homages. I like that CW has this more modern looking option, and the branding, well it suits the modern look (which might not be for everyone). Once you experience one though, you will forgive the branding, it just melts on your wrist CW watches, really comfortable, and as everyone says the quality is top tier.
Love the outdoor shots Peter! Please keep those coming. Regarding the watch, I wish they would change the font style of Christopher Ward or maybe remove it or make it shorter.

I own the GMT version of your watch, and it is a stunning piece. Same size, same colour of bezel. Tomorrow my Ball 38mm Trainmaster GMT is being delivered. If you're lucky enough to find one of them, you want to take a look at it.

I have one of the older vintage versions with the old logo. I like it, but it just never clicked so I’ve decided to finally put it up for sale on ebay. I’m hoping seller’s remorse doesn’t set it once it’s gone.
