Information about Colombia. Facts and findings from my research about the Carribean.
Valuable information i am from Colombia living in the U.S for 16 years i will be going soon to visit miramar is new for what i see 😯👍Amazing information.
Great! Enjoy your travels and thank you!
Greetings from Israel. I was in Barranquilla beautiful city with a nice people
It’s a great place!
Actually I went to work in a Kibbutzim in Israel back in the 80's and found, at least back then, Tel Aviv very similar to Barranquilla. Green avenues, lots of trees, the size of the streets. I was amazed!
great video... waiting on your next video... or the next beach trip
Glad I checked this out, I plan on staying in Barranquilla in May 👍🏽
It’s a great city!
Dre! He does it again floks.....nice vid.
Great stuff Andre! I am 62, live in Germany and I was born in Barranquilla. In 3 years I am retiring and definitely heading back to the sunshine. s yourself, enough of these freezing places! Your recommendations are spot on! Greetings!
Barranquilla is better than ever. There are many big projects going on in the city now!

Great idea for a video.
Are studied Internal martial arts,Tai Chi for 25 years, my be I could Teach a beginer class
Excellent content 4 sure 🙂👍🏾, I'm from the " I rather have the information and not need it, and need it and don't have it", generation 👌🏾 What I'm getting at is when selecting for a location, how close or far is a clinic, a hospital,a pharmacy. An emergency is still an emergency, 24/7
Great topic for a video. Basically, You’re usually 10-15 minutes away from a clinic or hospital by cab. Even closer if you live in Villa Santos or Alto Prado.
@@TheGlobalProfessional Thanks for this information, taking notes 👍🏾
Subbed!
Very informative video, Dre! Much appreciated. I'm attending a conference there at the of the month
Hopefully you'll have some time to explore the city. It's hot! Have fun.
Great info as usual.....keep it coming...#1LUV
thank you
You're welcome
Great intel bruh... i sped up the date. Dont know what this quarantine/ virus crap will do to entry.. we'll chopp later
You should be good, just make sure you get your Covid test before you come. 96 hours.
How about miramar?
Great video Any recommendations on gyms that look nice but also raw
Thanks! My favorite Gym is BodyTech. They are really nice and have yoga classes. I have a video where I interview one of the personal trainers at Spinning Center, which is also nice. Barranquilla has many small crossfit studios as well. So I recommend visiting a few gyms and finding the right fit for you! :)
Thank you I’m here until 10/17 body tech is nice!
Since you'll be there for a few weeks, I suggest you link up with some local fitness influencers.
Barranquilla is a small city and it's easy to connect with influential people. I checked out your Instagram and you could get a huge following in Colombia with some collabs. You could probably get free memberships as well.
Colombia is truly a 6 degrees of separation kind of country. 💪🏾
@@TheGlobalProfessional that would be great.. how can I do that lol ? My Spanish isn’t great at all! I’ve notice it’s really small people are really nice food is super good!
I like this explanation only one I found on Barranquilla with a map. I heard about the american business man killed in Las Palmas. Is that the area to avoid?
Yes, I would avoid that area. The North is definitely a better option for travelers.
Good evening.
Are there blackouts/power outages in Barranquilla? What about good internet with fiber optics?
Yes. There are many blackouts, but usually they only last a few hours. I have had hours long internet outages. But with a little battery backup, I was always able to work. I used my phone as back up wifi.
About the fiberoptics, I’m not too sure, but I was getting good speeds.
Where not to stay? (dengue)
If you want to avoid Dengue, stay in more urban areas. The more greenery, the more mosquitoes.
Thanks Andre. Does Barranquilla have adult baseball and basketball leagues?
Yes it does, I actually really like the Titanes. I saw a game, their good 🏀 I haven’t seen the baseball team play.
ua-cam.com/video/oji-l3md7rQ/v-deo.html
Yes the Caimanes de Barranquilla from the local league. Barranquilla caimans. Edgar Renteria, ex Marlins, Cardinals and Giants is from Barranquilla. BIG star there! Stadium honors his amazing MLB career.
@@dugrober Thanks R Dugand! The stadium looks awesome.
Whats best way to get long term visa without having to get married?
How safe is walkin at night in area you circled on a map?
👍
Student Visas are the easiest way to get a longer term visa.
I was ok walking around at night. But most people don't walk around at night, so you might look suspicious.
Does BQ have big city vibe or small, laid back?
some say its shthole, industrial city with no beaches yet so close to ocean
The northern part has a suburban feel. Lots of nice houses and malls.
The other areas are in various stages of development. From dirt roads to jungle.
It does have a little beach as well as Puerto Colombia 20 minutes away.
Why Barranquilla rather than Call or Medellin?
I like Barranquilla because of it's location. It's really close to Cartagena and Santa Marta. There are many modern amenities, it's easy to get around via the newly remodeled airport and I love the Caribbean weather. I made a video about it!
ua-cam.com/video/Et65eA8Vy-E/v-deo.html
@@TheGlobalProfessional in comparison to life and amenities in Cartagena and Medellin??
@@dovygoodguy1296 Medillin and Cartegena have more, but Barranquilla has a good mix of amenities, laid back lifestyle, and a completely different vibe.
@@TheGlobalProfessional How would you compare the level of pollution and the weather (,humidity and heat) with the other cities and places in Central America? Are all the coastal cities the same as Miami in the summer but more months, heavy humidity and heat? The other side is nice weather in higher altitude but issues of oxygen, especially possibly for older folks.
Good question. I would say there's a regional impact. All the Caribbean beach cities that I have been to are hot and humid.
you grew up in colombia?
Haha, I thought that might be confusing. The neighborhood I grew up in Chicago was something between Strata 1-3.
@@TheGlobalProfessional lol
@@TheGlobalProfessional estrato? Yes estrato 1 2 and 3 are dangerous not recommended to go alone i lived estrato 2 when i was little…moved to 3 when i was a teenager stayed in 3 until i moved to USA now planning to buy a property estrato 5 area 👍👍👍👍
