Met a girl today in the US, who is originally from Bogota. I mentioned one city we have on our list of possible retirement spots is Manizales. She raved about how wonderful Manizales is….said she would love to retire there. Retiring in March….counting the days !
Coming to Manizales next coming Sunday Jan. 23rd, and would love to try some good chinese food at your place. Woul be great if I get to meet you if you have the time.
I did a three (3) day road trip from Medellin to Manizales between Christmas 2021 & New Year's 2022. Never made Pereira and since you described a heavy spiritual demonic presence, I will not be going! My inner Holy Spirit is very sensitive... I have been blessed with discernment! 😇
Hi Wes, thanks for what you do. I hope the restaurant thrives. My wife and I visited Manizales (searching for a retirement destination) just before covid. Lack of Chinese food was a big deterrent. Could you do a video about the weather. Looking at the online data it looks like it's shrouded in clouds constantly. But we are wondering if it's cloudy with sun breaks or gloomy mostly. Sort of an overall year round impression.
Hey Wes, I like your videos. I spent most of 2020 living in Bucaramanga and Santa Marta,Colombia. Is Manizales cheaper?? Thanks Wes. I understand that the quality of life is better in Colombia 🇨🇴
Hi, I wonder you can give any insight into the financial outlook of a restaurant business in Manizales, investment vs return, how long you expect the investment to be paid off. Thank you
Yo yo yo, got a video about that coming up. Hard to say though. I haven't made any money from it yet because we've expanded so quickly, all of my money has been reinvested back into the restaurant. From what I heard though, about a year or so is a good estimation to start seeing returns
How safe would you say Villamaria is? I'm used to living in Suba Bogota, so if that comparison helps, lol. I'm not sure we can afford your area with $450 apartment, we are more $260 to $300 at the most to afford and live. Thanks :)
@@WheresWes Manizales feels more built up than Pereira. Or maybe I didn’t go to enough places. Folks in Pereira said Manizales was smaller but it looked more developed from your video
@@eng.edwardc2910 Much of what they tell you in Pereira about Manizales is a lie... they have always felt a certain envy because Manizales stands out in many positive ways in Colombia, the standard of living is much higher, poverty is less, insecurity is almost imperceptible, education and culture is incomparable with what you find in pereira.

Right now it's super nice but most of the year it rains a lot

Thank you for introducing Manizales, CO, looks like a nice place to visit one day. Are the prices you mentioned in USD or Colombia pesos?
I think I said both, what are you referring to?
@@WheresWes - timestamp: 5:48 on prices for (3) Termales are 20-40, which must be USD as $1 = $4000 pesos (LOL)

Te recomiendo visitar las islas de Colombia
el solo busca paz y traquilidad en tierra fria y lejos de turistas.

very safe actually and way cheaper. you'll be able to find something there for that price
Hey Wes, does it rain a lot in Manizales? from the looks of it looks like Bogota weather.
it rains a ton no lie, but right now it's been nice
I was in Pereira last month. How does it compare to Manizales?
Pereira is super similar to Medellin in my opinion. Manizales is way better and safer.
