Their trip starts at the incredible Nardo test track, a facility so massive it is visible from space, before heading north for a nerve wracking drive around the centre of Rome. The journey concludes at the legendary Imola circuit, a track challenging enough to have embarrassed many an F1 driver, with a timed challenge against the incredible skills of The Stig.

I think it's one of the first time I've ever seen Jeremy so focused. Especially from 3:14 to before he starts to speak again. I mean, Jeremy Clarkson quiet? With eyes wide opened staring at the road? That was a thrill.
The flames spewing out of the Lambo make me smile every time. That is frickin epic.

The winner here is Hammond. No ABS, no stability control, manual gearbox and still manage to do that? Lol
Not to mention, considering all of that, the spinout save at around 1:55 is truly incredible. Goes to show that Hammond is actually a damn good driver

The Lamborghini Aventador is a beast!
+Rick S did you say anything about the almost 10 year earlier released Ferrari enzo? less bhp still faster in corners and acceleration/top speed.
+Mr Hippie The enzo is on another league from the aventador. Average people if they work really hard and are money smart and are willing to make some sacrifices can appreciably own a used aventador someday. An enzo? Not a damn chance man. It was a technological marvel, the pinnacle of what could be done at the time.
Then why are people overhyping this brother from the audi a7, i mean i rather buy a rs7 then a aventador.
Mr Hippie Because the aventador is a badass style statement. It looks epic. It sounds epic. It shoots flames out of the exhaust. Its doors go up. It has a gigantic v12. And it is unapologetically ridiculous. And the fact you went on to even think of the enzo in a similar performance category as this means you understand that this is a bloody fast car and inadvertantly complimented it. An audi is none of those things. Well they are fast. But they have none of the flamboyance and flair of v12 lambos.

I've never been a big Lamborghini fan before I saw this segment but after... That footage made me smile, got my heart rate up, and most importantly gave me goosebumps. The McLaren is a technical and engineering masterpiece and I LOVE Ferraris (the only one of these I have ever been inclined to actually drive before this) but the Aventador just has more of a... Spark.

That Lambo is the best out of the three! It sounds unlike anything! The flames for power boost coming out of the exhausts was spectacular!
everytime i watch something about this track, i almost cry, because Senna pops into me head... and i was not born that day he died, but after videos and knowledge from my dad and other people, i got so much respect for him, and he was the best racing driver in my opinion.. Just took an adventador with road tyres around there , fleetwood mac in my ear . On a flying lap I hit a 1’56’9 . These guys influenced my childhood and forever I’m appreciative for it . Good stuff man

I love how enthusiastic they get when on tracks (like at Monaco). You can see how hard they actually are trying, striving for those few tenths off their time!

This one little segment of TGUK has made the Aventador my absolute favorite car of all time.The looks,THE SOUND and the FIRE....just amazing.Breathtaking even.And the way Clarkson talks to the car."And the Lambo IS unleashed..here we go...COME ON!" so bad ass.lol and its true.you cant just drive that car.you UNLEASH it.cant say enough about how much i love this car.

This was one of the most intense things I've ever seen in my life. I was actually crying! I kept telling myself this was filmed several months ago, and that if anything had happened it would have made the news, but still... How in the name of everything holy does Mindy Hammond,and the others' loved ones, stand this? Top Gear and Richard Hammond are gonna be the death of me yet!

When Jeremy stopped talking, Richard able to save himself from crashing, and James calling himself a blithering idiot, you know it's a challenge they take really seriously.
Well, this is Imola.
IMO one of the most intimidating track in the world.
I used to volounteer there as track p-medic.
You can breath the motorsport history there.
Every time I walked into the the infamous Tamburello corner, I could feel a shivering sensation running through my spine.
Thinking of it original line you can realize how dangerous was the layout.
An almost flat-out left turn with the wall at few meters; one mistake and you kiss the wall.

I've watched from 2:30 on about 10 times now. It's a symphony of V8's and a V12.
I'm ashamed but i'm honestly almost cryed when i first see the Lambo part ;)
Vitárius László same, you just know Clarkson and the car were giving it all they had. It was like watching a war movie where the last soldier had to claw their way to victory against a war they said could not be won, but they still tried.
