o7 to the Autumn She was a fine ship, but she could not withstand the Khan onslaught. The worst part is that her loss could've been prevented had Aventine squadron been successful in its attack on 1A... As an aside, I still find it funny how it took a single person calling my frigates "Ofreys" for you to misclassify them for what seems to be the remainder of the series XD (For the record, they're called Orfeys)
Damn. The Khans are kicking Ass out there. I honestly hope this series continues to expand with many more factions. I know theres a realistic limit on it, but it would be cool to utterly wage War. Hail the Empire!
This has to be the single worst day in CDF History. Two squadrons destroyed, one squadron heavily damaged for a total of 9 ships lost. With Sector 2A now in KE hands they have lots of options on how they can proceeded. They can - Take 1B - Take out the Squadron & FOB at 2B - Launch an assault on 3A, knocking the riders out, but up against 4 squadrons that would be a challenge but a hell of an accomplishment if they can pull it off. No matter KE decides to do unless the Riders and CDF can either hold the line or push KE back, things could be coming to an end. But the wildcard in al this could end up being the Eternity and her crew. Guess we'll have to stay tuned to find out!
Wow that was massacre. Got isolated and gunned down. Khan really perfected their isolation tactics. Trying to run from KE is suicide as they are fast. In my opinion (as fallible as it is) change weapons to with highest accuracy and fire rate and first is to go after their smallest ship once they are out of fight then go for their bigger ships. CL just takes too long to kill while their smaller ships are free to do anything they want.
The KE destroyer here is a really well thought out design. With most of its weapons out on its wings the way they are it has a huge forward field of fire when compared to most other ships where almost all of its guns can shoot at you. Watching it there is about a 90 degree or wider cone in from where if you are in it most or all of its weapons will be shooting at you. The other thing about having the guns out on the wings is that the auto targeting basically aims center mass, meaning the weapons are less likely to be hit by shots aimed at the main hull; so weapons stripping is far less likely.
What a brutal episode. The Khans have won a place in my heart. Everything about their doctrines, their ship designs, and the nature of their command structure speaks directly to the ideas I hold most keen in sci-fi conflict. That they take such victories with minimal loss in return is staggering. This is the strength of decentralized command, immense trust in individual captains, and a flexible set of simple yet direct zone based combat stratagems. You're right Brock: They take to battle like a soccer team rather than like a fleet. It's serving them very well. That all being said... I press F for the Autumn and Vesuvius. They were easily the best character ships of Season 1, doubly so with the impressive Eternity and Ravager taking up the screens and leading their respective factions in war. They fought every battle like lions. Seeing each of them die was heart breaking. May their names live on upon new ships in Season 3.
@@admiralmallard7500 That's truly a pity. There is strength in its name. It survived nearly impossible odds and its bite was ferocious. There's a good legacy in the name. All the same though, I hope you're still around and kicking behind the scenes. I'm on episode 18 at this time. That fight at Malta was *awful.* I'm glad that the Viminals have been being used to wage a war of vengeance for the CDF. It was a bit shocking to see them in Rider colors.
*meanwhile in cdf chat* "Weapons test on main weapon" *test fires and somehow jumps cares the frog in progress* "... did, did I just scare the frog with a weapons test?"
They didn't manage to destroy FOB Gary? Bummer, that thing was well designed to take a beating. The confusion and break down in communications for the minute or so after the Autumn lost their bridge was great.
Anyone else say a little prayer anytime they use their jump drive to get in close for CQB engagements? I’m always afraid they will either jump into their friendlies or jump into the enemy ship.
KE absolutely wrecking the cdf is especially funny after all that talk and posturing they did about how they would be the ones to protect the civilians. Someone who actually know what they are doing has hit the scene and it shows. Aside from captain brock himself I haven’t seen anyone else with such coordination and exacting objectivism.
@@GetBrocked yeah it was definitely rough for the system y’all got civis on the helm things are DEFINITELY bad😂. Was watching since the new season and decided to go back and check out the older ones. Things are a hell of a lot better now. My company is trying to get in touch with EFN to see if we can’t get a fueling station up and running in that system but they are always busy you know how it is.
Why put the bridge in front. If you're able to look around, I'm assuming the others can as well. If this is true why not stick it in a heavily armored spot

yep. the CDF soul/heart was crushed here. Not sure if they'll ever mentally recover from this day

OOF , not to mention one of the lost CDF ships was a Cruiser, that was without a doubt a liver punch to the CDF.
@@erebamagi8241 and it was the MOST STEEMED CDF's cruiser...
@@erebamagi8241 Not just any cruiser. The Autumn. The CDF's "unkillable cockroach".
Buttery smooth performance at last
ITS HEREEEEE
@@GetBrocked YEAAAAAAAHHH
Aye the new pc performance is awesome... Silky Smooth!
brock sound jumpscare is amazing XD
should have turned up the audio for that part!
haha maybe, jump scare the viewer too
Yikes such a blow for CDF maybe they'll ask Brock and his crew for dire assistance otherwise KE will continue annihilate them

Those were intense fights.
KE had their JDIs out of the spotlights for just long enough so that the COA forgot their existance...
then.... this...
a dark day on the Outer Reach. The single darkest day even...
@@GetBrocked the single darkest day... yet.
11:53 hurts so much. I remember the eternity unleashing hell on the "autumn" and she just wouldn't go down.
that was meant to be ours :(
Glad to be able to watch these videos at a higher quality than before! Also RIP CDF, what an interesting turn of events this time around XD
Rip the autumn
I think this is the first series of battles in the both seasons where an entire squadron was completely wiped out. The KE are terrifying!
also whoever choose the name pravda squadron and the ffg morning glory, has my respect

pure chaos. The autumn was basically the flagship

yeah brocked, the new computation unit for the eternity is here, glad you can play and record easier
yep. it looks so much better, feels so much better.

pro cdf hunters
KE really eating up territories fast
goble gobble . It was about at this time that the reality set in for the COA.

anyone know what the song used in the first battle was?

No. I see it too
You can either have silky smooth footage or correct text size for your intros, but never both.
This is going to sounds weird; but I miss watching these when they were slideshows xD
Did CDF win a single battle at this rate against the KEI?
Only if the cdf called in all of its assets
With how the faction warfare works you cant just pile in your entire reserve of ships, battles are restricted to 4v4
Kestrel got rekt
KE stays together and focuses fire, the cdf and Riders do not. That is why they are losing.
