I (Nikki Phillippi) have uploaded another day in my life video up today being in my first trimester of pregnancy. This DIML consists of my stretching routine, grocery shopping, deep cleaning, and my feminine morning and night routine with Young Living essential oils. I show cooking healthy meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in this video. I love to make new recipes for inspiration on what to eat and what to cook for kids. I love to shop at Whole Foods, Costco, Publix, Kroger, and Trader Joe’s. I mostly cook organic, vegetarian meals and now I am showing what to eat for two in my first trimester of pregnancy. I feel so grateful to be a traditional Christian women and stay at home wife, as well as work from home in Nashville, TN. SAHW. I feel that staying in shape, working on my fitness routine, and eating fresh foods helps me maintain a healthy Christian lifestyle in Nashville 2019. DITL.

I actually really hope you share your methods during this pregnancy. I feel like it is refreshing to see someone who goes against the normal methods for those of us who chose the more "unconventional" routes! Plus you would be removing the stigma/debunking certain things which could be helpful for people researching certain things related to pregnancy. I hope this makes sense!

I think you should definitely share about your pregnancy. You're right in that literally anything you do in life someone isn't going to like or agree with, but I love to hear what other people do and what works for them! Anyone who is mature at all understands that one thing won't work for everyone but it's still awesome to have information and different things to try. Love your vids!

Vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin that your body cannot store long term and your body does dispel excess vitamin C through urine. That is why vitamin C toxicity is very uncommon and why you probably haven't heard of anyone having bad effects from too much vitamin C. I am in school to be a registered dietician and this information is in many textbooks and has been tested and proven. :)

I took too much vitamin C once....I had such bad stomach cramps/pains, it was terrible. Can't even remember how much I took but I definitely don't think you should go way overboard on vitamin C. Or at least I shouldn't. Lol.

I like how you put the pregnancy update right at the front!!!😉
To be honest with you, I watch your videos because of your “hippy” side. I wouldn’t call it hippy either- just a naturalistic way of life.
Even if you talk about something that I don’t agree with, it just makes me happy that it works for you.
Long comment short- I want you to talk about everything you’re doing as long as you’re comfortable sharing. I watch this channel in order to learn and be inspired by your unique viewpoint.
However, I totally understand your hesitation to share. People are mean and judgmental....
Either way, I’m praying that God is blessing your body, your baby, and your home.
    Love you guys!!🖤 #teamGIRL🎀

Trust me, the whole opinions thing gets worse once the baby is born! It's like "you're giving your baby a pacifier, that's so bad for their teeth!", "you're not giving your baby a pacifier, you should because they decrease the risk of sudden infant death!". People give you endless opinions as if they are fact and it gets tiring. Start now with voicing your choices. You are the mama, you'll do what you think is right for YOUR baby xx

Rest, sleep, give your body what it needs, growing a baby is hard work!! Small snacks throughout the day helped me a lot with the nausea when nothing sounded good to eat. Honestly, you’ve been online long enough to know how this goes but, people will always have something to say about everything! You are the momma. You know how you feel and what may feel off or wrong for your body and your baby. All you can do is your best and you are a very health conscious person as is, so I hope that your community trusts your judgement and everyone just supports you and leaves you be. Hang in there girl! People are always going to have their “own opinions on what other people should/shouldn’t do.” Some can say their opinions nicely while others not so much. Such as life and what makes the world go round...Im a mother of a 8month old and have learned every parent needs to do what is best for them even if some may not agree. I think it’s helpful to share information on pregnancy and parenting styles because I like to think it might help someone even if its only one or two people. But I also think you need to do what you feel comfortable with! I’m not on UA-cam and have people commenting on my life daily, so I’m sure it’s not going to all be nice. I hope your pregnancy goes swimmingly and healthy! You said you look tired...I think you look great! Keep up the hard good work Momma!!

Where can I get these natural ginger chews for nausea? I’m not pregnant but have been dealing with a lot of nausea (in fact I was just admitted to the hospital tonight for that among other symptoms, to try and get to the bottom of it all... I’ve been chronically ill going back 10 years due to the complications of cancer treatment). Anyway, would so appreciate a point in the right direction for these ginger chews. Thanks in advance! Have a wonderful night : )

First of all, YOU are amazing! You are growing a tiny human inside of you!!! Pregnancy is ROUGH sometimes - you’ve got this! I think you are so wise to do your own research and to then decide what works best for your body and your baby. You are going to get SO much “advice” from people during this journey. Remember to “eat the fish and spit out the bones” (this is one of my favorite things that you say 😉). Thank you for sharing your journey with us - it’s so inspiring to hear you talk about your symptoms because, so far, they are spot on to what mine were during my 1st trimester and it’s always nice to feel less alone! Praying for you!

I was exactly like this with my little girl, unfortunately it lasted for 5 months. With my son i barely had any symptoms. With my current pregnancy, my little Emma, I was so sick and tired until i changed my diet and added B6. It gets better!! Do what feels right for you and your baby. The first pregnancy is hard enough with out having everyone elses opinions. Use that block button girl! 💕💕💕

I have Crohn’s disease so because of that I am well versed in nausea remedies and wanted to suggest; popsicles, and also drinking fresh ginger juice. I used to drink it everyday in combination with beet, carrot apple and a splash of lemon juice. It helped me for almost four months before I had to stop. In terms of having food aversions the best advice I can give is to find something that makes your mouth water even if it seems unhealthy. Keeping yourself fed is a huge challenge for me and honestly giving into cravings can help your appetite come back, and make eating less of a chore.

I was always nauseous the first three months of my long awaited pregnancy, I never complained because I was just so happy to be pregnant after 5 yrs. I always took naps, which made me feel rested. I tried the saltines, they did help. But the best thing was candied ginger. After three months the nauseous went away. You do what feels the best for you. Where do you get the tortillas? They sound amazing. Your mom was right, we didn’t have the internet when I was pregnant with my daughter. Who is about your age. And is a gem in my life. So happy for you. My daughter had me follow you. Which I still think it’s strange to follow anybody. But that’s the new thing to do. 😘

Just gave birth to my baby girl 7 weeks ago (first time mom)😊 The first trimester was rough and I slept soooo much lol I feel like I drove myself crazy when I was constantly looking online about what to do and what not to do during pregnancy. Ultimately you just have to do what feels right for you and obviously talk with your doctor. If you do end up sharing a lot of your pregnancy that would be awesome but we totally get why you’re hesitant to share with the internet, since everyone becomes an expert when you do that lol ;D so happy for you Nikki!
Congratulations on the pregnancy, I’m so excited to follow your journey to motherhood. Speaking from pretty recent experience, being a mom is rough (not gonna lie haha) but soooo worth it! ❤️ looking forward to more videos 😊

Omg fatigue was my worst first trimester symptom! I feel your pain! Good news it it goes away I promise. Once I hit 13 weeks I felt like a whole new woman. I am sure that seems like a lifetime away but it will come! Im 19 weeks now and still going strong! You got this momma!

I loved when you were telling us your pregnancy symptoms. I’m pregnant too and for roughly about weeks 6-9 I felt nauseous for most hours of the day too. But starting week 10 the nausea went away!! I don’t know if it’s because I prayed for God to make it go away lol but I believe He did answer that prayer! I’ll be praying for a safe and healthy pregnancy and birth for you and that your baby would be healthy and grow up to be a servant of God ❤️

Best part of this video was Zoe smirking at the camera during your pregnancy update 😂💕
My sister was soooo exhausted during her first trimester. Exactly how you’re describing it. She started feeling so much better during her second trimester so there’s hope! Also, I totally wouldn’t blame you if you kept the details of your pregnancy private - I could see it becoming stressful getting so much feedback and opinions on how you’re deciding to do things. It’s hard enough to figure pregnancy out without getting hundreds of comments from people on the internet 😊

Dear Nikki! My advice is to listen to your body and do what is right for you and your family! share what you feel you want to share and if not sure don’t ❤️ the only thing that helped me when I was dizzy and light headed in my 3 pregnancy’s was iron and fluids, lots of fluids.
And how not fair is it that it’s called “morning sickness” when it can last all day 😱😂
    Wish you the best!

I think its great if you share what you are doing. There are always going to be people who like or dislike what you are doing but if you say what you are trying I think that's great. People don't have to do something just because they see you do it.
Sorry to hear you are feeling nauseous, I hope you start feeling better soon!

I love it seeing you posting about your experience. I totally feel you at the moment! Im week 9 at the moment and am feeling like... i could literally fall asleep an hour after waking up. At work I’m not allowed to assist and it’s killing me to see everyone working and I’m sitting and waiting for the phone to ring (more or less).
But this time is so super exciting even if we feel so sick! And also even more exciting seeing others experience these things at the same time! May god bless you, your pregnancy, your baby and your family! ❤️

I would get so light-headed during my pregnancies too!! I am so grateful that I didn't have bad nausea but I did feel light-headed a lot. It's crazy how pregnancy affects your whole body and so many little (and big) random things but it is a really cool experience (at least for me it was)

The nausea and constant exhaustion is such a pain - it’s definitely worth it, but all I want to do is sleep.
I’ve found so far that having some kind of lozenge, especially if it has ginger, is really helping with nausea - so if you’re still having issues with that I’d suggest those!

My baby is 9 months and I was exhausted throughout my entire pregnancy. Exactly like you described, it was terrible. I know that a lot of people have much worse symptoms, but being tired was just so awful to be because it made hitting my pregnancy goals like staying active; all I did was work, eat and sleep.

It will get better. But try and rest as much as possible. You will need it. For me by the time I got to the 3rd trimester I was so uncomfortable I couldn't sleep. At least not well. Sleep is so important for your body to heal and grow. It's going through alot of changes and your growing a tiny peanut and that's exhausting. Enjoy every minute of this pregnancy and relax as much as possible.

I love your updates. Please share all that you're comfortable with I love hearing about you and your family. Listening to you is so relaxing to me. I'm praying for you and Baby P I hope you get your appetite back soon. Mine came back around week 17. I'm now at week 28 (yah 3rd trimester) and still haven't gained weight because I cant keep up with what my bean needs to put on weight myself. The bean is gaining just fine though.

I’m currently 18 weeks pregnant and it was so bizarre how my food preferences changed in the first trimester. I couldn’t eat chicken or mushrooms, it just grossed me out. Eat what you can eat and don’t stress about it! Like magic at week 12 I got my appetite back!
