I've used Premiere for years now and while I really don't NEED to learn anything else I've always wanted to learn AE. You're channel is a gold mine of knowledge for me. I know what I'll be binge watching the next few days.
seems to be behaving differently for me and I can't figure out why: instead of tiling, it applies the efect to the single instance of the object regardless if the effect is on the ajustment layer or not..
Great tutorial as always. I'd made a mistake and came across this effect the other day. I think this effect will be great for me to do wall and floor textures!
I have tried this at least 30 times and every time its the same. After adding the solid composite and turning the adjustment layer back on, when i try scaling I don't get any individual tiles, it just scales down until it disappears, like if I don't add the adjustment layer. Im totally clueless as to what I'm missing.
Hello , thanks for all the tutorials. I have encountered an issue. When I add the effect to the adjustment layer it does not extend to the edge of the comp. is there something I am not doing right?
@@JakeInMotion at first no but then I fixed it. I even close AE, restarted, cleaned the cache, used different files for my logo but nothing is fixing that.
Make sure to have some sort of layer beneath the adjustment layer that takes up the entire screen. I just added a white solid and put it as the bottom.
Hi, is there a way that the effect fades in? I want my image to be seen and then start it to change into kaleida. The moment I add the effect the image gets changed immediately. Thanks for help!
Thanks Jack. I already have an account so the link isn't for me, however I found your courses by searching your surname (Bartlett). Keep up with the good work 😉

Best teacher of AE in entire universe. Thanks for your work, Jake.
Who doesn't like kaleidoscopes? So overused, so simple, so awesome.

Is your adjustment layer the same size as your comp?

Happy New year Jack. How do I find you on skillshare?
Check the link in the description.

Is CC Kaleida effect is work only on vectors? or is work on image also?
It works on anything you apply it to. I generally apply it to an adjustment layer, though, so it affects everything in the comp.
Misspelled Kaleida in the intro
Whoopsie. I think I can live with that.
