1987 - I went to over 100 gigs that year. But it was hardcore punk rock gigs. I was 25 years ago and a trainee teacher of mathematics. I saw Napalm Death when they were a punk band from Birmingham England.
No, Painkiller was released in 1990. In 1987 There were Guns`N`Roses "Appetite for destruction". Motley Crue "Girls, girls, girls". Helloween "Keeper of the seven keys" part 1. King Diamond "Abigail". Def Leppard "Hysteria". Kingdom Come Self Titled...
Best Comedic Metal Band. Scatterbrain. Check out their songs "Don't Call me Dude", "Earache My Eye'', Down With the Ship'', or "I'm With Stupid''. Anything from their album Here Comes Trouble
That's not even a comedy song to me. I lived the mid/late 80's loving this music and yeah there's a few funny lines like the Poison reference and the coke reference, but seriously. Anyone who grew up in the absurdity and excess of the 80's know just how absolutely spot on every word of this song is. It just makes me miss the era. I personally think it's their best song yet. I'm seeing them in March live and there's a lot of music of theirs that I love, but this is now the #1 song I'm looking forward to hearing live and I think it's going to blow the roof off that place.

glad you enjoyed it man
As a high schooler in the mid to late 80s, this makes me happy. And it's all true--we KNEW Dave and Eddie were gonna patch things up.

Note: "Earache My Eye" is a Cheech & Chong cover. Carry on!

This is definitely one of their best songs, I agree. 👍
