How do you know for sure the VPN provider isnt 'evesdropping' as well?
Can't speak for other VPNs, however Surfshark VPN has something called a no-logs policy which ensures that no logs are collected. This policy was also audited by a third-party to approve it.

@@SurfsharkAcademywell, that's a lie. Because I've received a notification on my Android phone that says I'm using surfshark VPN they are able to monitor your emails and other websites that you've visited. It's all a lie!
ISPs might be able to see that you are surfing to domain X, but thanks to SSL encryption of HTTPS they can't see what you are doing there.
So instead of your ISP evesdropping on you, you buy a monthly subscription from another company so they can evesdrop on you. Yes, yes. makes perfect sense.

One of the most reliable ways to find out if your VPN is actually hiding your IP address or current location is to use a coordinate-based geolocation.
Make sure you are connected to the VPN and then just go to any search engine (like Google) and ask any of these following questions.
1) "What's my current location?"
2) "What's my IP address?"
3) "Where am I at right now?"
And you will see whether or not the VPN is actually doing what you're paying for it to do. 9x out of 10, it isn't hiding anything, and you are being scammed out of your money! And if that's the case, report them!

Committing fraud is illegal! SurfShark is nothing but a SCAM! Just doing a Google search and asking what your ip address is, it will show you that the VPN is NOT hiding anything. Your IP address is clearly visible. It's a waste of money and unlawful to claim that a service is providing you protection when it really doesn't. Everyone should be filing a fraud complaint with ScamAdviser. Don't allow this business to keep scamming you out of your money. how do you make money?
They are scamming people out of their money by simply claiming they are hiding your IP address and real location, but they're not hiding anything. The Surfshark VPN app is obviously a scam. Because if you've chosen for instance Australia for your location, then when you ask Google what the local weather forecast is, it should show the weather forecast for that area. But it doesn't! It actually comes back showing the weather for your real location that you're in. So clearly, Surfshark is not hiding your IP address, or your real location. So everyone should be reporting this business as a fraud to all scam reporting agencies and leave a one-star review on their app.

Ive once gotten my wifi shut down becuase i made this guy rage in a video game and he threatened to shut down my internet and so i tested he and he actually did shut down my internet and another reason is ppl scare you in online gaming that they will leak ur ip address and personal info
True, some older call of duty games run on peer to peer network which can expose your IP address even GTA online did that until recently
