Pink Fantasy for me. Too many leaving because "health issues" or "personal reasons". 5 have come and gone in less than 3 years. 3 left in 2020 alone. Mydoll Ent either has no idea what they're actually doing or it's just bad luck.
Baby Boo and Aila were hard working talented young women they had so much potential to be successful but unfortunately these girls deserve to be treated better by their management and company
Wow, my heart goes out to these young women, how difficult it must be to dream of being an Idol from a young age, only to nose dive after your first performance, or have to put up with sexual assault at the hands of lecherous old men at private 'concerts' my heart goes out to them, no one should have to put up with this sh*t as part of their jobs, I wish all the members and backing dancers from both groups all the best luck in future endeavours, thanks to Midnight theories and Ploopy for another informative and thoroughly researched video 👍🏻
Some persons like this concept...so they can "avoid" do those things to children...if you know what I mean. Have a childhish fetish with an adult to avoid do something horrible to children.
I love this collab, this was awesome! Honestly, I'd love for you to cover what are the requirements to open an entertainment company in Korea, because it's baffling to me how many companies take on trainees that they can't afford to feed or shelter and then are surprised when they get sued. I feel like a lot of companies are just out to scam trainees, without realizing that launching any group requires significant amounts of money and resources.
I would love it if you would cover Purfles. They started off so incredibly strong and then just disappeared along with the company. I love your videos like these!
It’s not confirmed, but I’m 99% sure that Siyeon from Aila is the same Siyeon formerly of HeyGirls! She joined them while they were still known as Black Queen, then they rebranded as HeyGirls, and left in 2019/2020
@@babyboointl I know, and maybe Siyeon wanted to leave Aila in the past, but you can’t tell me Aila’s Siyeon and HeyGirls’ Siyeon don’t look exactly the same!
i’m glad to see these girls are in a better place and some are even fighting to help other idols break free! Their bravery and persistence is truly commendable.
there is no way daewoo kim wasnt paying people off for aila and baby boo. its so rare for rookie groups to get on so many music shows and even nominations especially with their controversial songs
For every “””legit””” agency or even a bad agency like Pledis, there’s probably way more who are run by people with no business sense who just see big groups get popular and think it’s a way to print money… And who suffers for their scumminess and bad business practices? Not the executives but ALWAYS the members, who usually join as minors… there are probably dozens of groups like this where their stories won’t get told and they will never get justice which really upsets me :/
The big problem with South Korea is workers barely have rights in that country, is like Japan works ethic...work until you barely can stand in your feet. In those coutries workers don´t have the same human rights as in other countries like USA, Canada, Mexico, Central America and South America, Europe that are seen as the minimal rights to avoid slavery. So kpop idols have even less rights due to this....the country needs a reformation about workers rights.
You should cover Yellow Bee that had to disband early this yr due to their company making them have “relations” with investors just to have cbs. I was a fan of theirs so it was heartbreaking to see the barely 20 yr olds (I know they were pretty young) go thru that
I did cover Yellow Bee back in April but im planning to make an update because two former members recently re-debuted ^^ ua-cam.com/video/M9xqycGe3lU/v-deo.html
Wow the collab that never across in my mind. Both UA-camrs that I subscribed to finally having collaboration together. Thanks for your hard work Midnight Theories and Ploopy678.
To be honest, this kind of thing did not just happened in Korea but all over the world... In my country, some of rookie actresses and singers even came as far as selling their bodies to wealthy man in order to maintain their celebrity lifestyle that can't be supported by minimum income they get from their entertainment companies...
Yikes, I feel really bad now! I'm the one that wrote the blurb about Aila's debut stage being "painful to watch" (4:51). At the time of the writing, we had no idea about the contract situation. While I still stand by the criticism about the debut stage, my feelings weren't toward Aila themselves but at whomever decided those outfits and performance were acceptable. I still feel really bad about the group, and I feel bad that it was like they were sent out there to be a laughing stock. No hate toward the girls AT ALL.
Omgggg my fav Collab so far on UA-cam I've following Evan for like the last 2 years but she mentions Midnight Theories a lot so I checked out ur content and Voilaaaa ! I m obsessed with ur vids
So awesome !! I saw part one of your Collab with Ploopy678, Midnight Theories 😎 really love both of your styles so good Together with really well researched Videos👍
this is a great collab and very informative. sad situation for the members of the groups but as you girls said, very common. i'm wondering if it's possible for you to do a video about Pureboy, imo one of the most confusing groups ever if not the most confusing. one of the comments in a kpop profile site aptly describe how confusing the group is in probably the funniest comment i probably have seen on the net ever. lol. anyone reading this comment, go look for it n let me know if you find it xD.
Wow that is just terrible to hear. But the labels doing stuff like that is nothing new. In Aila's case there purpose was never going to work especially when they wore those outfits. A company talking about feminism and turns out to be the opposite. So Unsurprising! In Baby Boo's situation that completely sucks and I hope their lives would eventually get better after their situation. Its great that company got shut down. There is no excuse for treating your employees like that.
With Aila, I can absolutely see why people felt like a mature concept would've been better. Some of the members looked too mature to be wearing cute clothing, a cute concept is always a hit or miss compared to a mature one imho.

Thank you for reaching out to me ! I was so happy to be able to help with this video ! Great work ❤️🍓💌🍰🎂🥛
When members keep coming and going from a group I am automatically suspicious.

I think South Korea should make a specific law about idol's right when becoming a trainee under a company
Yeah
Yes, especially since a lot of the trainees are actual CHILDREN
They should! Their economy mostly grew bc of k-pop and the exploitation of artists/korean pop-stars.
So true
I agree.
Had so much fun researching this case, and the video turned out amazing!! ❤️
Hi Ploopy
멋진 탑!
The collab I never saw coming.
My god.
I. Am. Not. Worthy!! 😭😭😭
Hii
love you ploopy!! ❤️❤️
THE COSTUMES ARE LITERALLY CHEAP MAID COSPLAYS OH GOD-
they rlly said lets go to party city 😭😭😭

this makes CUBE sound like an amazing company
Someone should make a video about FlaShe, the nugu summer queens, that even survived the 7 years course.
I will try to!
they disbanded sadly :(
Loved FlaShe.

Someone in that company might have a very weird fetish involving childish/baby stuff
That’s what I was thinking!! Like why was baby boo’s debut MV shot in what looks like a preschool 😵😵😵…
Lolita💀

aside from someone in the company having a kid fetish you know something is wrong when there is constantly lineup changes

I like their songs and voices!!
Good for those girls, fighting that injustice! My blood was boiling for them. If they ever return to the industry, I'll be here to support them.

How is it legal to have an undated contract??
It´s not anymore. Just like the government made sure idols can only sign 7 years. There used to be more

The first thing I thought of when I saw this video was 'Imitation'. Wow...art really does imitate life. This is so sad.
yulioni has actually debuted now, under the name DAHLIA with their digital signal 'Spotlight' ❤️

Midnight Search, I love that :D
When I saw the trigger warnings at the beginning I already knew this would be sad.
omg we need more collabs of the two of you
damn- they recorded the ceo cursing at them D: yikes
Honestly their mccore song was really nice I like it
I love this Collab!
Duo we didn't know we needed
Thanks for another interesting video~ Why is kpop so sinister...
Why they got so much backlash when FLASHE who is also an underrated group had the exact same concept and was on the exact same show on the same day
I have been waiting on this video!!!
Midnight Theories AND Ploopy!? I'm in heaven...and 8 months late 😅😅
Bada is redebuting in a new girl group called N-DAY(Consists of 4 members)
