#tractors #plow #tractorvideo #farm
Video from a family farm near Celina Ohio as they hosted a plow day where several local farmers brought some antique tractors and plows and plowed up a harvested wheat field. In this video is a good mix of 20 plus older tractors plowing the field. The family that hosted the event has a very nice lineup of John Deere 10 series tractors that all lined up together for this video.
In the video I said tractor specs.com but meant to say www.tractordata.com. for finding tractor information.
Some were digging deep and some were just scratching the surface, but All were neat to see. Thanks Mike. I remember when everyone owned a moldboard plow. Those were the days!
I love watching them classic tractors plowing
Great vid Mike. Some of those tractors were very impressive. That Ford pulling a 4 bottom plow was one. Good stuff!
Yes the Ford was one of my favorites here.
Mike--Thanks for producing this video. I know the moldboard is largely dead, at least for US corn/soybeans/wheat, but 60 years ago, it was one of my favorite chores.
Love all the old tractors great video !
Awesome video!! Love seeing old iron doing real work. The only one that looked a little like a show tractor was the 5010, but then again if I owned that beauty I'd keep her spotless too!
I really enjoyed this video .That was hard plowing ground .Cross the field opposite of the way the crops were planted ,plus it was compacted ,n dry.Every tractor was working hard to bust open that ground.I love it when you have to work the piss out of the iron. This is when can see which engine has the most grubt.
Great machines there!
First time plowed was a 1962 fordson dexta with a deering 2-16 3point hitch, next was a mm ub diesel with a jd 3-16 pull type, then we got our big tractor a 1066 with a matching 5 bottom
Viva a AMÉRICA, Bem-vindos os AMERICANOS 😁😁😁
That was very enjoyable - - - - thank you
Great video Mike , it brought back memories of plowing with a 5 bottom behind a 4010 . Then later I ran an 856 International with a 6 bottom plow on the land hitch . No cabs just the sun
Great video Mike. That 60 John Deere was the first Deere I ever drove as a kid. Dad had one of those and TO 30 Ferguson and an "A" John Deere when he first started farming
Great video. I still got my Grandpas 1954 Allis Chalmers WD-45 with a 4x16 slat bottom plow. It always plowed the corn ground. Should get it out and use it. Thanks for the video 👍👍
My baby son like this video
Great video Mike!!!
I really appreciate you taking the time to film this. Looks like a good day for plowing.
looks like that 3010 doesn't have his plow depth set right. 2:12
TractorData is the way to go
Great Vlog, what a treat to see so many old tractors ploughing in the same field. it's great to appreciate the effort and care to keep this history in working order and looking immaculate. thanks for sharing mike
Hot dam, a popper,, love the sound, grew up on a 40
That Mike,.....always eatin' good in the neighborhood!!!
You need a long ❤️
You need a long axle for the 6030
Que Maravilha de apresentação 😁😁😁
A very simple time in farming. Truly refreshing. My grandfather bought a 4440 new back in the day for the farm and it runs our 52' Westfield auger and pulls gravity wagons for us. STILL going strong!! Thanks Mike, awesome video.
Looks like a lot of them bit off more than they could chew
The ford with the 4 bottom is impressive
Sweet tractors! Not to far from my house! Ground is very hard
I like your farm videos. From imperial co California.
just booked a hotel! hope to meet you in jaxon hole this march!
the race must go on!
Nice.....!!!
I usually go to tractordata.com to find information. They list every tractor made, years produced, specs, plus nebraska test results. I used to have a 4010 with the factory cab/rollbar. It liked fuel.
Yes me too. I just realized I said it wrong in the video. Good Catch!
👍👍
That White plow on the 5010 was doing a nice job, Was quite partial to the Fordson tho.
Best video yet Mike 👏
Would like to participate next year
Well I guess if those are antiques, I guess I am too.
You can tell the real farmer from the wantabes can’t adjust the plows to get a level deep adjustment.
Power
That JD 5020 is absolutely beautiful.
Dad bought one of the first 4010 Diesels ever built -- tricycle front end in April 1961 from McCullough Equipment, Kenton, Ohio. He also bought a 3-point hitch 5-14 John Deere Plow. Two major issues with that plow: Corn Stalks would not go through it and you could not handle the tractor with the plow out of the ground - even with 200 or more pounds on the front end. He eventually traded that plow for an International 4-16 with the wheel on the back that you can see on the video pulled by an International Tractor. You can see the tons of clearance in the video. Problems solved.
I had a WD45 like the one in the video that I pulled a JD 3 bottom 12 inch pull behind plow on steel wheels. No hydraulics just a pull rope.
I don't know if you can find it but Nebraska State University used to test alot of tractors.. Nebraska test used to be there tractor ratings.
From the smallest to the biggest it didn't matter what color they all came to plow next time
Soil is too dry. Wait till after first rainfall
That's a sharp 4440
Good video Mike, where is the new Versatile Demo tractor ? I"d like to see it on a plow ! Course not much plowing any more.
Try using TractorData.com . They have almost every type of tractor ever made.
Thats what I meant to say. I got sidetracked when I was narating this video. I corrected it in the video description.
Man, look at the size of those clods. Did that field flood, or something?
You should get a bulldozer to push some of the trees down and you will have more land to power
You don't see a rope trip plow too much these days. [See 11:00]
Nobody recognized the Bandit????
How old does it have to be to be considered antique?
Most say 25 to 30 years. I think analog gauges is a good break point. It was about mid-80s when digital displays started showing up.
@@mattn996 well we have about 10 tractors here and all are antique then🤣
@@mattn996 I think the black stripe 1066 is the newest lol
Make how do you drive a drones so good to have a drone I crash into a tree
boy that is some HARD pulling soil.
The reason some tractors struggled, was they were plowing opposite direction of the way this field is normally tilled, this helps breakup the hardpan. At least that's my opinion.
Tenho 63 anos como torneiro mecânico, e estou doido de vontade de morar nos EUA , só uma fazenda me contratar que vou para EUA ...😁
Where is the love button!? UA-cam seriously needs to add a love button for videos just like this.
What's not to love about old tractors out playing in the field.
Excellent video, Mike!!
If a job's worth doing, it's best doing it right, easing/lifting the plough when tractor spins for an instance, some plough's are leaning away from work.
looks like damn tough going
Classic power!
Awesome sound!
Thank you very much for this video!😊👍🏻
Hope you enjoyed the chicken...😋
Mike I own the 2510 at the 1 minute mark, shame I didn’t get a chance to talk to you, will have to come out again next year!
Looks like everybody had some fun👍😉 seeing old equipment at work is always amazing😁👍
Thank you for sharing👍
I wish you could tell us the model number
Big red International was getting it done also JD 5020 is bad ass
For me this is an enjoyable video. There's something about plowing that I really like to watch. Thanks for sharing Mike.
my brother had a 4010 dinoed at 87 pto hp
Amazing to see this machinery digging
Antiiecooomb8nes
Great footage and sound quality! My favorite was the Oliver 1855. That old machine was movin right along. The exhaust cap looked like it was welded in the straight up position! Also liked the IH Black Stripe. All good machines here.
did you have a tractor for her to drive
Looks very dry for some of those ploughs (sorry English spelling) but some great bits of kit there.
WOW that brings back memories !
Todays tractors with all of the electronics and gadgets in the end do the exact same thing that these mechanical tractors do. They just do it at a much lower cost and down time. You can spend your time learning how to operate and repair fancy electronics. Or you can be in the field working.

👍👍
We have a john deere 3020, a john deere A, and a john deere B on are hobby farm and also a massy Ferguson 1100.
I run a Deere 2010 diesel and a 1010 gas for mowing and baling hay
USA 🎡🇺🇸
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Mike
Summer and Fall plowing took good sharp shares and a we[[-tuned and weighted tractor. Makes the smaller ones squat down and grunt compared to Spring plowing.
Gyi😢😢😮😢😢😮😊
