  • The best advice that I can give you to prepare for your dental school interview is to find your own voice and to be yourself. Don't expect that you will get into dental school by copying others' answers. If you have been invited for the dental school interview, you're half way there! Admission committees know you're smart and that you want to go to dental school because they have seen your application. Use the interview to help them know you and to show that you can communicate with others well!

    Thank youo so much for this video. I provide services for interview preparation and primarily with students pursuing dental degrees in US and Canada. Much of what you have said is exactly what I tell my students, but you have also have given me some new insight in how my students should present themselves. They are so wrapped up in trying to sound perfect or give a great answer and don't think about being themselves and being honest. I push them to be authentic. For example, one student would speak his answers as if he were giving a speech. I really liked what you said at the end that it is about being honest and focusing about what's good in the student. Thank you again!

      Thanks! I suggest to work hard in high school to get a lot of foundation for your science courses. Also, develop your study skill that works for you. Don't forget to start shadowing!

    thank you so much for your video , it was really helpful .. i have a questions : what if I've had a few Fs on my past but i retake those classes again and i got a better grade , so my question is if i still can get into dental school ?

      I can't speak for the admission committee but if you show a lot of improvement and explain in your personal statement, there could still be a chance.

      Brittany Watu if I get a good DAT score, but I have ONE F and the rest are A's and B's on my transcript, will that affect my chances of getting in?

    • @rebeccas9106
      @rebeccas9106 6 років тому

      Not if you retook the course and did better the second time. Simply explain what happened that caused the F, highlight your improvement, and back it up with your other higher grades.

      as long as you have an upward trend universities like that.. but i think that will come up in your interview just be prepared to answer why it happened and how you overcame that.. i think brittany can chime in since she's a D2..

    When an interviewer asks you if you have any questions for them, what kind of questions would you ask? :)

    • @brittanywatu4835
      @brittanywatu4835  6 років тому +1

      You can ask them any questions that you have about their specific school like if they have any tutoring, research and volunteering opportunities, student life etc etc etc
