Just finished changing my door solenoid and this video plus the other two was exceptional in helping me how to remove not only the interior door panel but also the window and the solenoid. Thanks ever so much gentlemen!
Thank you guys for the very informative videos (removing the door card AND window-regulator on passenger side). These two videos allowed me to fix my problem which was to reattach one of the white plastic tabs which had fallen off the window due to its screw coming undone. I suppose insufficient thread lock was used when it was originally assembled. I have the 2011 LR4 for the USA. I'll add three items which may help others: 1.In removing the door card, it is best to remove small triangular shaped tweeter speaker cover (with tweeter attached inside this cover) from the top of the door card BEFORE removing the door card. This would have prevented my damaging this plastic cover. This cover pulls straight out by pulling the cover from its sides. I used some duck tape attached to both sides of the cover (towards the top) and just pulled (i.e. yanked) it straight out (i.e. perpendicular to the door). This cover has one simple snap-on ball/socket type of connector in the middle of the cover on the inside. The plastic guide at the bottom of the cover broke off when I removed it with the door card; but, was easy enough to repair. This guide is needed at the bottom of the cover for a secure fit when the cover is reattached. 2. Before removing the regulator also remove the turn signal indicator located in the door (i.e. located under external rear view mirror). Removing this turn signal indicator provides more room for removing the regulator. It will easily pop out by pressing the plastic assembly from the inside of the door. There is a metal clip at the front of the assembly which will push out first. 3. When reinstalling the window I had a problem getting both window clips to snap into place. Only the clip towards the front would easily snap into place. And even with pressing down on the window with much force the other clip would not snap into place. I could feel with my fingers that the two clips on the regulator were not in perfect alignment. The clip, which would not latch, was about 1/3 inch higher than the other clip. So, to get it to snap into place, I raised the window all the way to the top (via the driver side window control button). When the window reached the top it snapped into place. The window when worked perfectly. Perhaps this 1/3 inch misalignment occurred when one of the tabs on the widow fell off and would not be an issue for other people reattaching their window. Ed H
Excellent video lesson Simon . This was a great help in enabling me good access to door lock part of the wiring loom . i had to change loom as i had swapped the left front passenger door for a used one . unfortunately i did not realise my HSE door has more connectors for powered mirror / heated mirror ect ... It was a real pain in my swearbox , but i managed . Thank you Simon and Tyler .
great thks guys, if you cannot reach the 2nd front window clip as I couldnt get my arm in, the secret is to unscrew the door lock and you can use a very long metal screwdriver to unclip it
Hi Guys.. Great video's thank you . I'm trying to trouble shoot my drivers side window and switch not working(For all doors and mirrors on switch). I have acquired for testing, new switch, new motor mechanism and a new door control module from another exact lr4 2010 model. My question , is the Door Control module box interchangeable with another one or will the ecu not recognize it and need a dealer to marry to ecu(CAN) system? Reason is i have change all of the above, literally everything from another identical car and it still doesnt work. BUT if i unlock car and hold down remote then all windows including my drivers side window go down. But not up with swith and remote.. Thank you in advance.
Now you would be good at this...remove the rocker box cover on a Renault 16....no, undoing all the nuts will not be enough!...it needs a special movement that is opposite to all natural expectations. I have seen grown men saying many naughty words faced with such a simple and yet apparently “impossible” task! You and Tylor would work it out in about 2 minutes!!😨😃😃😃😃
@@L663 Well judged there!! If you you get REALLY bored, change the heater fan resistor on a 2009 onwards Citroen C5 Exclusive...it’s held in by three simple nuts...I’ll give you two days to get to it and two more to put it back together again!! ...it might not be enough,! “No it’s alright..I”ll do another winch!!” Simon, your films are a delight...keep going, it keeps us smiling!!😃😃😃😃😃

Thanks, made changing my door lock actuator easier, although only need to shuffle the window regulator to one side
Thanks for the video, I just followed this video to remove the regulator panel to access the door sheet metal to remove a horrible door ding.
Informative, and yet so entertaining, great ad-libbing without script!
THANK YOU LADS ! From Seattle
Thank you gents! This is helpful for replacing the window regulator!

This is good just as Haynes manual said I can’t get my arm in that little hole is there any other way to get the front clip undone
“Tyler you crack on” would have funny if he dropped and cracked the glass after that

Thanks for that video. Is that the same in LR3 2005?
Yes totally the same
@@L663 Thanks you doing good job !!!
Are you not better off just leaving the window fully up?
