This Mr. Grill Iraqi Shawarma is made from Veal (Young Bull) with Mutton Fat.
[3] Shawarma means “to turn around”
Shawarma is the Arabic Version of the skewer found throughout the eastern Mediterranean, where meat is cut into strips or cubes and served in a rolled flatbread. Shawarma differs from the Turkish Doner Kebab mainly in the marinade used, which usually consists of a variety of spices that give the dish its typical taste.
[4] Iraqi Tandoori Bread
Tandoori Bread is traditionally made from sourdough. The bread got its name because it is baked in a Tandoor Oven. A Tandoor is a special oven heated with Wood, Charcoal or in modern types with Gas and is part of the kitchens of Iraq, Iran, the Caucasus, India and Central Asia. It is traditional from the eastern part of Syria and from the eastern part of Anatolia to the Central Asian parts of western China to southern Asia and also in some parts of Africa.

In Iraq, the minced meat prepared on a skewer is not actually called a Kebab, but rather a tikka. But meanwhile, the minced meat skewer grilled over charcoal is known worldwide under the term Kebab. This is prepared similarly in different countries with different seasonings.

Расскажу свою историю знакомства с этим блюдом. Россия 90-е, Санкт-Петербург,ездила на учёбу в экономический техникум. И возле станции метро Горьковская открылись два ларька с шавермой (в Петербурге она именно так называется). Готовили арабы самые настоящие. У нас не было принято есть на улице, вообще. А мы попробовали🎉 Яркие впечатления. И вот потом, даже подъезжая к станции метро, уже выделялся желудочный сок и хотелось съесть шавермы😂. Это блюдо- шедевр!
Спасибо за это кулинарное путешествие в Петербург 90-х.😂👍😋Вы не знаете, есть ли там сегодня этот или похожий арабский донер-кебаб?

@@higherlearning95 In Turkiye we say if your meat with too much flavor that means the meat is not good. Best doner comes with zero flavor. Shawarma is Turkish word means turning, and doner also same means turning.

Shawarma is coming from Turkish word 'chevirme' means spinning. Since they can't say 'che' they called it 'sha'.
Thank you for your informative comment. You are certainly right that the origin is probably in Turkey. However, the Arabic shawarma is completely different in its seasoning from country to country to those in Turkey. Hungry greetings from Berlin✌️
@@moodifoodiberlin Yes seasoning is different. In Arabic Shawarma they use tahini mostly which never used in original one. They all good, I just gave the historical information =)

Shawarma is a version of Döner, not the other way around. Likewise the Greek gyros and other variations.

Great clean place and great gentlemen with their great service good portion of meat unlike here in Tasmania when i visit Tasmania they hardly put any meat they put more portion of lettuce salad and very less meat not worth buying anymore I won't mention the places i guess not all of them and depends who makes them for you

Я живу в Израиле , у нас похожее приготовление , только лафа смазывается хумусом изначально , а потом (в конце ) заливают тхиной , правда и шварму ,,бреют " подставляя металическую лопатку а не на основание , так более гигиенично выходит и меньше масла , а в остальном все 👍
