My favourite guest yet. A brilliant discussion and points that all of my family can take on board and implement - especially me.
    Thank you guys! ❤️

This has been one of the best episodes in the series. It’s brilliant.

It strikes me that people who say "I play by my own rules" are the ones who end up starting cults and neglecting their own relationships for some idea of "success" that will ultimately never satisfy them. I think High Performance has delivered some great podcasts in the past, but it's getting lost in corporate guff and cliche territory now. Selling people an idea that working constantly and "performing" is the only way to achieve meaning in your life.

kinda zzzz for sure. nobody thinks like this if they are normal anyway, outside of watching a video on it out of a slight interest in the subject matter, much of it is just stating the obvious

A person that decides to go down the path of working professionally as a liar aka a spy usually isn’t what we’d call completely normal. I’d say sociopath as a diagnosis is pretty common in that field of work.

@@NorthernContrarian oh, i dunno, id love to be like 007 :) But Im not sure how much thought process that really requires, more skills with a car, a weapon and the ladies ;)

i like Shane, i love his Farnam Street website and i'm currently taking a lot from his book.
I really find it strange though, how some otherwise rational people really struggled with the years 2020 and 2021. Shane says here that he almost died 2 years ago, and no one could tell him why.
Shane, what did you do in 2021 that may have caused your facial paralysis and bells palsy? The vaccine. Justin Bieber even had the same thing at that time. It really is amazing to see people totally deny this explanation for their medical issues following their vaccinations

Holy smokes! Never knew he was a spy. I always thought he was from some finance/economics/business/sciencey type background.

so actually this guy is telling us to go bed early, to eat healthy, etc. Just like our parents did. If we just would listen 😅

Not great. A lot of empty advise and ideas that don't really weigh up in reality. He says things which in theory solve 50% of the problem but neglects the other 50%. For example, how ca. You prioritize just three things. Life doesn't work like that. I hate the dieing 90 year old analogy. I hear it all the time. A person in their death bed has nothing to do or achieve. It's easy in that situation to focus on the nicities in life.

Couldn't listen to all of this, very dull and lacking substance. What has this guy done in his life to achieve high performance? Doesn't he just run Farnam Street?

I know but his advice is still solid. The best teachers are not necessarily most successful.
