08:41 You can use the Auto Tunnel tick box in the options menu to build tunnels through your terrain, forgot to mention that at this point sorry! ❤ I also know a few of you can't put tracks over existing paths, check that you have the 'Disable Track Collision' option ticked in the options menu, under the Game tab. That should fix it! You'll also want the Disable Terrain Collision option to be ticked if you want to be able to manipulate the terrain under the tracks like I did in this episode. I also play with the Disable Scenery Collision option ticked too, just makes things easier :)
I really have a hard time waiting for your Planet Zoo videos. Yours are my favorites. I love the train station & your exhibits are stunning. I am looking forward to your next post. Thank you for sharing. I have learned so very much.
I just came across your video, keep in mind and I know this from planet coaster the AI will not board the train until all the passengers be bored and go through the exit. So like on planet coaster you want to put the exit right around the center of the station as well as the entrance. That way the guests get off quickly and you can reboard quickly.
I have a small tip for you. I noticed you click on a green button with track piece cost when you want to place it. You don't have to do that. If you have your track piece ready to be placed just click left mouse button without moving a cursor and it will place the track anyway. You don't need to go back over and over to that button. Second, you don't have to delete a piece of track if you're not satisfied with it's height or angle. You can edit it after placing it, so it doesn't have to be a "trial and error" thing, as you said.
@@fewcandy the zoo is getting cuter and cuter every time you add to it! There is a little train here too at the San Diego zoo but it doesn’t go through the exhibits. Instead they have an aerial skyway which I think you showed too but for this zoo the train was the perfect choice!
Some of the transport rides will operate without a loop in a shuttle mode but it is limited to 1 instrad of having the ability to move multiple on the same track
Omg omg the 'flatten terrain' path trick is amazeballs!! Thank you so much. Great video. I always under use transport because I never remember to include enough space, but your ride/habitats look so good together, I need to give it a go. btw, I'm sorry I didn't write this sooner - I got married last weekend (at a great ancient age for first time) and don't think I've ever been so tired. How people with kids manage so much tiredness all the time I'll never know. I am in awe. However, now all that's out of the way I can get on with my gaming again. :) Always look forward to your PZ vids! Many thanks FewC! o/ Edit: just adding this after your live stream - re terrain - as Ben says below, your Bison habitat is utterly wonderful. I love that shot of some of them drinking, some of them wandering about. It's great. I think terrain-as-you-go is prob the way I go in my games but that combined with pathing/water/glass etc etc doesn't always work so flat is so tempting. I promise some of my creations are hilarious. Ask me about my 'Polar Bear HOUSE' lol xD
OMG Congratulations!!! If I'd seen this first I would have said it on stream! ❤ And thank you! Now I really want to know about the polar bear house haha!
@@magenpie_4009 Oh yes please! I think you can send them in the DM's, if not you can email me if you'd like (it's on my youtube about tab, might have to unhide it!)
@@fewcandy don't unhide your email!! argh. Will try and post to you on Patreon. ;) Also thanks for the grats. The whole thing feels weird but lovely. Mostly lovely xD
Yay for trains!!! And that Bison enclosure is amazing. Can you make the train either slow down or stop momentarily when passing through the enclosure so people can take it in more?
Yes trains!! And thank you Ben! I don't believe there is any way to do that as you can only control the speed of the entire ride, although if a train is going up a slope it slows right down so that could be one way to bypass that a little bit, would be great if they could!
This looks awesome! how are you so good at hiding the generators? No matter what i build over them i get a negative reaction from guests. I'm not very good at hiding the electricity and water things...guests always get a negative reaction to them...a video on that would be helpful!
Hey i would love if you could do a quick video / shorts video of how you did the little rock border you have for the paths! i can't seem to figure out how to do it + which rocks are used
@@fewcandy it did so much thank for explain it’s the aquatic rock 8 rotated and sunk into the ground! That will defo help me with my creations as I loved the border!
4:00 “there has to be a loop”? I built a monorail and I could choose to have but one wagon pin from one end station to the other with no loop. They changed it maybe or it might be a monorail specific? (I’m quite new to the zoo…)
Yes that is monorail specific! All other transport rides have to be in a loop, I actually didn't know this until someone else commented on this vid, you learn something new all the time in this game! Sorry for the confusion!
ooo really nice station, where are those roof and floor pieces from btw? is it from a DLC(s) or base game? ALSO loving the series, can't wait to see what you do with my request from the last video!
Thank you! The floor is from the South America pack (Temple Wall Painted Floor) The flat roof is base game Concrete Floor, and the slanted roof is the Painted Slate Roof from the aquatic pack!
Anyone know how to add a T-junction to a path but at an angle on console? I’ve seen FewCandy do it, so there must be a hot key on PC. Also, I keep getting the message “terrain modification failed” when trying alter existing paths. One minute I can place a path there, the next it’s bugged out. So frustrating!!!
So it mostly depends on what you'd look for first, animals or building items. Aquatic pack is absolutely the best for adding extra building pieces, along with the South America Pack and the Conservation Pack. For animals I would personally take a look at each and see what you fancy most! If you want to pick up packs you could check my instant gaming link vs steam pricing as they often have some pretty big discounts! www.instant-gaming.com/?igr=FewCandy

That Bison enclosure is gorgeous! And with regards to the train station, maybe some skylights where the block roof is?
That’s a great idea! Will add those next time, thank you! 😄
Love your detailing, the layered waterfalls and bison enclosure with the Trainline through it is just incredible.
