Hey as someone who has spent a year and a half building one zoo in this game I have a few tips that you might find helpful - first when making a rock barrier look more natural put on random rotate all (it’s by all the a-line to surface area) - second when having the issue with the fact the path looks weird inside the building get a roof piece of your choice and using shift get it as low as (you may need to change your grid height to its lowest) and it will make a perfect floor - third you may know this but where it says the animals nature preferences you can click on them and it will auto select in the nature tab so you are guaranteed to have plants they like - finally when building if you want things like doors and windows to a-line perfectly put angle snap and a line to surface to line it up then turn it correctly 90 degrees and it will be aligned perfectly. Hope this helps loved watching you grow your channel and skills =3
3:23 Regarding your pathing issue, there are 2 things you can do to make this much easier. 1. Select "Align to grid" Which will let you make a big square. Leave the edges open so you can place your buildings. 2. Make a ceiling big enough to cover the whole space. Place your paths and buildings, then hold shift on your ceiling, and drag it to ground level. Making it look like a floor. This video is a month old, but I hope this helps someone in the future. You got this!
16:09 "spending some time managing the zoo" *stares at baby crane feet* EDIT re-watched that part and finally noticed them whispering 'toes' in a mesmerized voice 😂
39:08 a quick tip - juvenile animals have a slightly different traversable area than adult ones. They can squeeze in smaller gaps and escape, so always check the traversable areas for juveniles as well.
If you want more guests to visit certain areas of a park, you can just add more entrances around. Helps reduce the amount of guests at the main entrance and distributes them more evenly.
Maybe a little late to the naming the polar bear cub thing, but I had a suggestion. Recently one of the polar bears in the Calgary Zoo passed away, their name was Baffin after Baffin Island in Northern Canada. It would be sweet to see one named in this zoo! What ever the outcome this was a great watch!
Nice video! I never really see people make zoos in cold climates. Everywhere I go I see 'tropical zoo' and 'desert zoo' but yours is the first cold biome zoo I've seen :)
I watched this video while doing homework, your voice helped me focus oddly enough, which is surprising because I deal with bad procrastination but watching your videos help me with homework for some reason lmao
This zoo is looking AMAZING so far! I can’t wait to make my own Grizzly bear habitat… themed after Splatoon’s Salmon Run. Meanwhile my Oceania zoo has a small hiatus so I can make a massive amount of themed things to the island that will hold the wombat, dingo, and crocodile habitats! Edit because I have a question: Doesn’t keeping animals in quarantine for a long time have negative effects? If not then I better start using that technique!
For the custom rock barriers, u should turn on random rotation so that it’ll look a little more realistic and clean :D also how did u adjust the area thing on the heaters?
Hey Aric for the Shop building you could make the floor of it to this purple wood Like you place it on the ground Maybe another material I think that would look better then the parh😅
I was just thinking about how much it costs to place all those rocks to not be seen, then you asked if it bothers anyone and I literally laughed out loud 😂
I really enjoyed this video. You seem to have a lot of similar interests to mine, so I’ll be sure to check your other videos out X:) ! You can tell you’re having so much fun.
What are your settings? You get such high guest counts and you’re able to have your ticket prices so high compared to what I seem to be getting with many more high appeal habitats.
It amazes me how good some people are at building in this game. I bought the game and started building then after my first 3 enclosures I realized how bad I am and quit the game . Still wish i could build good enough to play it.
13:18 “ is this a battle? No this is sex” 😭
Ye what the F was that lmao xD
LMAO that made me laugh so hard lol
@@luukopjebeeldscherm4874just swear 😭
It was at that exact moment that I subscribed lmao

“I spent over 40k on the great rock wall.. and I have no regrets” pretty much sums up my entire experience
For filling up the whole building with path, you can use the aligne to grid feature

These are the best recommendations ever for Planet Zoo.

22:20 fun fact moose swim under water to find food when the land freezes over making orcas a predator of moose
Isn't it that they can also dive up to 40ft in depth for food? Could swear it was some crazy measurement like that.
I was shocked when I found this out a few years ago😂
EVERYONE WAKE UP ARIC POSTED
BE QUIET IM TRYING TO SLEEP
I’m here
Moose deep dive so often they are on the list of orca's prey. I wish they swam in planet zoo.
I have over 2800 hours on Planet Zoo, but I did not know the trick to get rounded out paths like that. You're a lifesaver, truly ❤

I’m here and subscribed for the “is this a battle? No its sex” comment absolutely hilarious

Just wanted to say how much I enjoy this and your previous series! It is so calming, and I get so many great ideas for my zoos.
Also, thanks for getting me back into Planet Zoo after I took a 2-3 month break too LOL
I watched this video while doing homework, your voice helped me focus oddly enough, which is surprising because I deal with bad procrastination but watching your videos help me with homework for some reason lmao
Your habitats very much remind me of the IRL Toledo Zoo's Arctic Encounter area and their exhibits. You did a great job!
THIS IS YOUR BEST VIDEO YET!
Also you should name the polar bear ovela! It means sneaky in finnish
The wolf and fox caves looked great, I want you to make more cave shelters in the future🗣️
I feel like the polar bear cub should be named Trouble dfn vbdjkn it's fitting. Love your videos!! and the rocks of course

Same!
Just started watching planet zoo vids and love how the algorithm gave me this one so early
I really feel like you're getting even better zoo after zoo! I especially liked the layouts of this one
Just watching your videos give me more ideas on habitat ideas, especially the tiny rock clusters you add :D
“Is this a battle?” … “No, it’s sex” Got me for some reason 😭
I’m glad I’m not the only one who spends their entire park budget on just rocks.
You should name the polar bear Houdini because she keeps escaping!
You’re the reason I started Planet Zoo!❤
really enjoyed watching this video
Amazing video! The habitats looked fantastic
Omg I’m so excited you’re back

I wonder what the next biome is that she’s gonna do. I hope it’s the temperate or grasslands because there’s more options.
I was just thinking about how much it costs to place all those rocks to not be seen, then you asked if it bothers anyone and I literally laughed out loud 😂
Did you know the things that those sea lions were doing were called bananaing seal and sea lions do it when they feel content and safe
25:43 not the people literally everywhere in the enclosure 😂
Per definition. There are no trees in tundras, but I get that they make the habitats more beautiful.
I can’t wait to tour this
Yess I was waiting for more aric let’s goo Name for polar bear : annoying white floofball
Aric’s cheetah zoo single handedly made cheetahs not endangered anymore (in planet zoo)

What are your settings? You get such high guest counts and you’re able to have your ticket prices so high compared to what I seem to be getting with many more high appeal habitats.
You should name the plorbare lin
Amazing vid I loved it
I think that if I got one dollar for every rock that was placed in this zoo I could end world hunger
Yay! Aric content! 😃
For the escapee polar bear, surely Pikachu has got to be the name, given Pikachu always escapes the poke ball
your commentary makes me giggle
I live for planet zoo content
aric the rock enthusiast strikes again
watching this while eating 😁
Obsessed! :D
Was the roof of the polar bear exhibit actually inside the null barrier? If it's not, that might be why the cub was able to escape.
Here on the day, it came out, !!!❤❤❤
