You dont actually show what fuse you used or if you used an Ignition based fuse or a direct 12v feed fuse. Where did you actually wire in your Nextbase camera to? What feed did you use?
this wasn't supposed to be a how to just what's involved in fitting dash cam as a professional.
all fuse boxes are different and in different locations. check out my video on fuse taps to see how to connect a dash cam into the fuse box and what to look for.
I had mine install yesterday hardwired for the parking mode by halfords, but mine turns off when ignition is turns off no power blue light shows to say its running off car battery.
The car battery is at 12.8 v and I'm sure these cut off at 11.4 v.
Any ideas or is it normal for no blue lights ti show on the camera?
I have similar issue installed by halfords no idea if it's installed properly as I expected it to use car battery instead of camera battery which goes empty fast
it's been wired to a ignition and not a live feed so it's not going to work with parking mode.
it's not been installed correctly, it should be on all the time if it's wired to a permanent feed from the fuse box allowing parking mode to work.
@@MADMODS Thanks for confirmation think I'm may have to either take it back to rectify the problem or may have to find my old dusty volt metre where ever I left it, and find a live fuse myself.
I could be wrong but I believe the reason the camera has a battery is so when in parking mode and movement is detected it powers on and starts to record. Try giving the camera a tap with ignition off it should turn on. 🤷♂️
This guy is no professional... He is too damn fiddly.
