Restricting phone use in the classroom itself can improve learning. This is because it avoids students being distracted or not paying attention the the teacher or lecturer. An example is when a teacher is trying to explain a point and different mobile phones are ringing or vibrating or students keep texting each other thus causing distraction to the entire classroom

    Introduction:
Mobile phones became part of our daily lives as adults or teens. While those devises play an important role, their use can be sometimes with adverse effects. For such reason, some schools restricted the use of mobile phones within their premises which is a decision I support for various reasons.
    What do you think?

  • @KawaiRonin

The advent of this new age of technology implies that almost everyone has access to smart devices and this includes students. While these devices have obvious positive impacts on the education and development of students, some schools have made efforts to restrict its students from using these devices. Personally, I believe that such restrictions have positive impacts, not only on the academics of these students but also on their physical and social well being and I will support these opinions in the following paragraphs with valid points and examples.
Restrictions on phone use during class can improve the learning rates of the students. Phone use during class can result in distractions and loss of focus during a teaching session. Such can be seen in a classroom where students are constantly checking their phones for texts and surfing the internet while classes are ongoing. Not only this, the noise from these alerts can reduce the attention of the teachers as well as the students when class is in session. This might result in wasted time and effort as the students may leave the class without making any significant gain. Restrictions of mobile devices will eliminate the possibilities of this.
Furthermore, restrictions on mobile phones during school hours can lead to improvements in traditional social skills among students. Excessive use of mobile devices during school hours means that students will most likely spend a chunk of their time scrolling on social media apps and playing mobile games instead of engaging in healthy social interactions with their peers. This can be seen in schools where the common areas are filled with students with their faces glued to their phone screens instead of building social connections through discussions and simple conversations. Such trends can lead to stunted social and physical development in these students; resulting in social disabilities like depression, social awkwardness, and the likes. A ban on the use of phones during such times can eliminate the chances of these.
In conclusion, though the use of smart devices have their positive effects in academic environments, I believe putting certain restrictions in place to reduce or regulate their use during school hours will prove more beneficial to the students, resulting in students with better chances of achieving their academic goals and at the same time maintaining healthy social skills.

Nice one, but try to use different words, you have repeated many words there such as "restrictions" you can use instead limitations or implementing rules instead, and also your conclusion doesn't align your Introduction,. You are talking "the use of mobile phones have positive impact on students learning, stick to your argument that phone and gadgets may cause distraction therefore it would give good outcome for their learning. Conclusions and introduction should have similar content.
      Cheers

This is what my first paragraph looks like
Currently, a number of schools have restricted the utilization of cellular devices in the premises. This measure needs to be taken by schools in order to enforce discipline, as children these days use them for unproductive activities rather than using them for the core purpose, that is calling in case of an emergency.
Please let me know if I am on the correct path as I am struggling for 7 in writing as I received a 6.5 in my previous exam, all the other sections went well for me .

I would suggest be specific while presenting you opinion. For instance... This is a positive step that is likely to help in establishing discipline among pupils and making productive use of their time.....
In this way, you are giving clear indication to the examiner about what he should expect....
Now explain how mobile disturbs discipline and then support how a ban on it would enforce discipline...
Secondly, explain how children engross in unproductive things because of mobile, and then elaborate how the prohibition would help them in being productive...
      Hope it helps....

Many colleges allow to their students to use their own cell phones while in campus. Some other schools, however, ban using mobile phones in the class arguing that this action improves the learning process greatly, and prevents many physical and social problems, and in my opinion, I believe this is completely true.

Most students in various schools around the world have their own mobile phones. However, while the use of these mobile devices is good for social interactions as well as learning, several schools have limited their use within the school campus. I believe that this is a positive development, as it can help the students both academically and socially.
