Recently I found my old discs from a championship where one of the prizes was the NWN bundle. It brought back so many memories of playing with my friends and also trying to expand during our own RPG nights. Recently I got it on Steam and just waiting for my vacation from my job to play it with my kids and wife, even though she never played these older games she's just a fan of RPGs as me. Awesome vid!
There are a few modules geared toward kids on the vault. Some of them are designed almost like a fairy tale. Here is a link to the main module page for them. neverwintervault.org/article/review/kids-modules-updated Might be something in there worth checking out.
Thank you for covering Neverwinter Nights modules. I just got into Crpgs (after many years it finally clicked why they are considered so good). So this channel is really helpful finding good modules for a newbie like me.
My all time fav game. Not mentioned in this video, Beamdog was able to sell official mods sanctioned by Wotc/Hasbro until they pulled the license a few years ago. A real shame as this outstanding game should be better supported by the powers that be.
Already got every NWN achievement on Steam quite a while ago, but it still wants me to play it. There are few games that I keep coming back to for more and more fun :D
I bought Neverwinter Nights and Baldur's Gate 1+2 on Switch, with no prior knowledge on the series and I've been enjoying it quite a bit. There was a bit of a learning curve for me, but I've been taking my time figuring things out.
Most games are like milk, have it fresh or it spoils quickly. Neverwinter nights 1 is like a fine wine, gets better with age. No other game has come any closer to fulfilling the promise of bringing the d&d tt experience to PC
Wish I had the personality to play this game with others. Edit: I used the NIT tool and it “forgot” where my NWN install library was and refused when I showed it where it was.
I tried getting into NWN. I played it first back when it was released. And a couple of tries over the years, the last one being last year when I got stuck probably 1/4th into the game with some bug. I kept trying because I loved all subsquent Bioware RPGs, so I figured NWN must be good in there somewhere.... I never played modded content. I wouldn't even know where to go to play it. I wouldn't know which mods to pick (which ones are good and which ones are bad). But the actual game never really gave me the same thrill as the other Bioware games. You spend waaay too much time getting lost and backtracking.
Well the problem there is the original campaign wasn't the best crafted. I have a review of it. As for modding it's pretty simple these days. A good place to start is the Neverwinter nights vault. I'd recommend using the mod loader that I linked in this video. Also as far as good modules, the old ign hall of fame list is a good place to start but there are several pre loaded on Neverwinter nights enhanced edition.
@@jeanlundi2141 Definitely not. The original campaign was slapped together in a couple months and primely as a showcase to what the mod builders could create. The EE version comes with community mods for several good modules that all are way better than the OG campaign.
@@turnsupgaming5949 Interesting, didn't know that about it's development. I feel less guilty now then for not being able to appreciate it. Thanks for sharing....I might give the mods a try.
I haven't played the game in almost 20 years, and knew nothing about user created content until now. Is there a good video walkthrough of how to get started with NIT (or any recommended tools?)
Hey, Sorry for the late reply. I like Reborn UI. You can pick it up from the workshop if you have the steam edition. Otherwise, it's on the Neverwinter Nights Vault and you can snag it that way and install.
Yeah I have a hard time installing mods from the vaults just when I though it was installed it never showed up in game (besides the ones I install from steam workshop those work fine)
I just recently spotted NWN enhanced pop up on a steam sale and I was wondering if I should jump on it or NWN 2 for someone completely new to this style of game
@@turnsupgaming5949 keep up the good work, more people should know about nwn the modules including the unreleased ones, but as a constructive advice about the reviews, on the roleplay focused ones try to give spoliers about the story so people know what to expect of the module 🙂, pece
How do I get it to stop crashing? I am in kingmaker module I am at the first goblin cave and when I fight them it just crashes even when it isn’t hot from being used.
have you tried running it in compatibility mode? (right click on game icon, go to properties and try running it on an older windows version), other than that i'm not sure what it could be. I play it on Nintendo Switch myself.
Neverwinter Nights is a gift that keeps on giving for sure !
Best game ever.
This was great! I hope more people see this because NWN is so good
Amazing game I create for it and there is nothing like building for NWN!
LOVE THIS GAME! Been years but my best memories were playing on Neversummer. The dragon realm in clouds, all of it . Can't wait to dive backnin

will definitely have to try out the NIT tool

NWN and DS are my all time favorite.....the nostalgia feeling plus the soundtrack is amazing
Blade of darkness
we need a neverwinter nights 1 but OPEN WORLD could be so awesome

Let me know what you think playing on switch. Interested on control scheme working out.
You NEED to play planescape: torment
I actually never played this, now I kinda want to.

took me a few tries to get into nwn but once it clicks it's a Great game
Amazing experience, amazing game.
Been playing it with the wife the past few weeks, can't believe how big the game is.
Swordflight is difficult but the story is great
Bro I’m too lazy to download the tool

jokes on you. original is still played on multiplayer

I would head to the Neverwinter Night vault. Search NIT. I believe there is a guide listed with a video link.

I like nwn enhanced because of ease of access and the vault. But both are great. Just NW2 needs some tinkering to work right on modern pcs.
@@turnsupgaming5949 thanks!
Would the android version run on a chromebook n5030 processor if so how crap would it do so
Might be better asking on Neverwinter nights reddit. Though it should run on a Chromebook.
@turnsupgaming5949 ran it on amazom 10 2023 tablet and it was horrendous. Would pick up a chrome book for it though
nice video, but the thumbnail gives the impression that you were going to mention the projects released in 2022 on the vault, disapointing
There is a fallout mod but was never finished for nwn. Maybe one day I'll drive into it and showcase what was done including assets never added.

It only works on Neverwinter nights 1.

You know Aurora is just a fork of Unreal right?
No. Can you source link that. I'd be interesting in seeing that. Thanks.

someone needs to make a remake of Neverwinter Nights with better graphics and better character creation, Neverwinter Nights 2 didn't do that!

Sure. But a lot of those servers are role play heavy. But you can grab groups for content by outsourcing on the reddit board.
