I just got another one from eBay for $300 with box and papers (06/2020)! It's my 4th. I've had 3 silver dial (the new one and another I still have, the other one went missing some time ago). I also had one with the blue dial that I modded, using PloProf-style sword hands and putting it on a beads of rice band. I gave that one to my brother. Those hands made all of the difference in the world and really enhanced the design! Great video, great watch!
I have the silver version. I’ve seen them range in price from 400$-2500$. They’re not easy to find and discontinued model but the nicest Tissot diver model there ever was.
Wow, these both look awesome. The hour hand of the silver version is indeed amazing. Really similar to a Seiko Monster. 700 bucks is a bit too much for my own budget though.
I have the silver dial version of this and this is one I’ve always enjoyed. It doesn’t look as big on the wrist as the measurements suggest. Exceptionally tough as well.
I’ve owned both of these watches and still own the white dial. Gave the blue dial to my nephew when he graduated college. Like you, I chose to keep the white dial because of the red hour hand.
I could live happily with either, but gimme that Blue one! Awesome watches, funny how Makers have periods of genious an not so great? Great Review, two total packages. Unreal WG.
Love watching your G-Shock videos!! I saw that you did a video on the Mudman G-9000, but no video on the Mudman G-9300. Any chance you would make one? Would love to see that. ❤️ from New York
@@WatchGeek I had bought one and returned it because I wanted a solar/atomic G-Shock, and the G-9300(cheaper then GW-9300 which has multi-band 6) doesn't have it So I ended up getting the DW-6900 based on your wonderful review, I agreed on the point you made about the 3 dials feeling more purposefull with the info it provides. But then I decided that I fell in love with the beautiful display of the newer Mudman with the compass dial and moon phase that I just had to have it. So I went ahead and purchased one as well. 😉 Either way would love to hear your thoughts on it. So hope you get the chance soon. Thank you for your reply 🙏🏼😌
THats a very cool watch. The Bezel reminds me of the Plo Prof Bezel, the size and the way the side is slated. The modern SeaStar is very boring. The only Tissot I like is the cushion case chrono they released last year.
Ironman is cool, but a bit weird to operate once you are used to Casio! They do have some amazing tech, like the keeper that has a prong that fits into the strap hole so it does move around and the Night Mode where the light is kept on as long as you are operating the buttons. I would definitely give it a go if I were you
Finally I got one with rubber strap and black dial in second hand market for about $250 usd “naked”. Cannot find the original bracelet but I will buy a mesh one from strapcode. Great content from your videos bro. Ty !!!🙏🏻
There's only one problem with this model, wearing it for a prolonged amount of time. Since the glass case in the backside is slightly more raised, you get to experience an uneven distribution of the weight of the watch on your wrist. Hence, with the passing of time, you'll experience some discomfort on your pulse, even with a nato strap. Talking from personal experience.
@@davidgomez-lg2ch I reached out to tissot and they said these parts are unavailable from factory. They suggested an entirely new strap. No clue on size. I did make my own homage build on my channel since I couldn't find links
This version of the Seastar is definately better looking as well as looking like a proper diver than the newer versions. Better specced than the Seiko 200m divers as well. I have both and prefer the Seastar
The box that mine came in says the following: SEASTAR 1000 GTS SS T19158331 Suggested retail price $595.00 UPC# 7 58499 20658 7 I believe that the reference number is T19.1.583.31, I hope this helps. From the catalog that came with the box, a black dialed version on a rubber strap is listed as: T19.1.593.51
@@ogstingy8252 I do still have it, i just sold my PRX quartz so this is my only Tissot now and only 2824-2 as now all have gone the sellita route which nothing is wrong with. I’d have to get a 1,000 to part with her. Sorry.
I remember checking these out in the mall back in the late 1990s. I really wanted one, but was a starving college student and could barely afford a Seiko 5 at the time. There was also a quartz 660 version that was slightly smaller and featured Arabic numerals at the 12 and 6. By the time I had enough $$ to get one, Tissot had moved on to the next generation of this model. I think subsequent versions of the Seastar have been a downgrade (although I do like the simplified design language of the latest iteration, it's just not as striking as this model).
Unfortunately I agree with you, and I say so because I think that Tissot is falling behind the race for commercial survival, its models are really boring and it is very bad sign that a watch produced makes a decade more interesting than what they do today ! Currently, the only Tissot that I like today are Visodate, Le Locle and T-Touch
The newer ones are trying to be inoffensive I believe. That said, they're not horrid, just more subdued. I have both, and love these far and away better!
Truly nice watch! There’s a good reason serious divers are fitted with domed glass: a flat one will turn into a mirror underwater.
The silver one is incredible!
You made me search for one!!!
I always wanted one of these. It is one of the coolest dive watches, ever ever made, in my opinion.
I have a 70's Tissot Navigator Seastar T12 and absolutely love the thing. This is a great newer addition to the model and I really like the dial.

Those bezel crackles sound beautiful. The blue one is beautiful, and that domed crystal is what really sells it for me.

Not bad for a Tissot Diver. Love the silver one. Keep the great reviews.
Yes my wife bought this watch for me as a birthday presents in 2006.🤗

I have the black dial version and I love it!
I have the 1980s generation it is the same with a black dial with the red arrow it is an automatic Powermatic 80 but it has a band not a bracelet

have the silver with a quartz movement. definitely my favorite dress watch! having it for 15 years without any problems in function.
Do you know where I can find a new band for this? I'm looking at a quarts 660 at a pawn shop

That was my watch for close to 10 years .
I ruined it diving with the crown 👑 open .
I think I’ll buy it again . The nicest watch I’ve ever wore .
I thought I'd found my next watch, but 44mm is just too big
that's right, on my thin wrist it would look ridiculous, or, rather, I would look ridiculous XD
you people need lady watches!
@@aloneandimmortal not really, my wrist is around 7 and a half inches thick but I don't like wearing something that would be a better fit on a wall.
